It's, more natural and there is no risk of your thumbs bumping together. Shooter games prove it.

out of the many many many shooters iv played on the ps3 this have never ever happend to me once. So it doesint prove anything.
Everyone else constantly evolves their controllers, but Sony.
I have used a Sony pad each gen and it needs improvement. The left thumb stick is in a more natural place on the 360, with your thumb pointing upwards instead of sideways. So it is more comfortable when using it as the main control stick. And it is better having it no where near the right stick.
Is it that you enjoy the stick placement more or that you're used to it. You could say the same for me but I don't "enjoy" the 360 pad more, just find it improved and as soon as a better console pad comes along i'll jump ship to that. I already have a different pad I use for arcade games (SF4 pad).
Universally the 360 pad is naturally better.
The 360 pad isn't perfect either and also needs work. The D-Pad is barely viable for anything but in game quick menus and I personally think the LB and RB buttons can feel a bit high.
Sony has evolved thier controlers just not to the extreme. They added sticks and the rumble gives the controller a nice weighted feel. They tried something different with the triggers this time around which I personaly feel doesint work but watev. Again its not that its some fact that the stick placement is wrong. Heck the only fact here is that you just dont like it and thats about it.
