Wrong. Graphics are subjective. I still think Crysis 2 looks better than Uncharted 2.

in my opinion ps3 owners get confused. god of war 3 has amazing graphics (similar to uncharted2) but not throughtout the whole game,it has good points where you go whoaa and some areas are meh.. killzone2/3 on the other hand have amazing textures/lightning etc but is too dark and grey but thats not the point it still is behind uncharted 2 because it has more open areas than u2. uncharted 2 does everything right in the graphics department ,i really cant see much of a difference in u3 than in u2 and that means alot. on the other side you can see a great difference in gears 2 and 3(and people were calling gears 2 console graphics king for a while too...)

I played Uncharted 2 and agree that it looks fantastic, however, a few games on both hd consoles reached at least the same visual quality too.

After beating Gears 3 campaign, i can easly tell that it´s the best looking console game on the market. Go play Act 5 (azura) and tell me with a straight face that not incredible.

I don't know that much about technical mumbo jumbo. Almost every graphics thread there's people saying "well this game has this kind of AA", or "this game uses this knd of lighting", "or this game uses tessellation", etc... There's also the argument that a game has better graphics because the environments are bigger. I don't know or care about any of this stuff. I judge a game's visuals by what I see with my eyes. And I don't mean art direction, I mean the textures, lighting, animations, etc... And when it comes to what most visually wows me, I still haven't been more impressed than with U2 and GOW3. I will say that Gears 3 looks amazing and is definitely an improvement over Gears 1&2, not to mention that it's an awesome game, but it didn't gve me the same wow factor as the affore mentioned games.incuensuocha

I was impressed by Act 1, more impressed by act 2 and then blown away at act 3 - 5.

No, Uncharted 2 fails to hold its single player graphics in multi-player. Quite literally. Gears of war 3 is actually quite consistant over all, never modifying its actual graphicacal capabilites. Though that doesn't make Uncharted 2 a bad game what so ever, as I don't even play the MP.

In the case of Gears of war 3 it has more advanced effects and lighting than UC2, but at the cost of AA and some performance issues. Gears tears frames like Drakes fortune did, almost.

I suspect Battlefield 3 to be just as impressive as well, and RAGE will be the most impressive console game, period.

Well, it´s safe to say that Perfect Dark Xbla is the current graphics king then! It runs at 60fps and is 1080p :P

On a serious note, Gears 3 and it´s Unreal Engine 3 dot something, does indeed look better than anything currently on PS3 in my opinion.

Yeah right, explain to me why infamous 2 has all of those problems? Or why a crack in time is half HD? Or why God of war 3 has restricted movement walls? Or why the killzone series from 2 has turned into a corridor shooter? Or why GT5 has 20% of frames torn + regularly dips into 40 fps and TERRIBLE shadows when forza 3 never had any of these problems?

The game drops in frame rate to about 28 if you get a large amount of enemies on the screen and or particle affect directly infront of your camera. It's not even noticeable.

And tearing is cured by triple buffering, Uncharted 2 uses this. But unfortently is causes input lag.

I didn't see the deep analysis, in fact I provided a more elaborate one then them. There human, as am I. And it's not hard to tell there's a large amount of jags in the beta compared to retail. So Epic obviously did some thing with the extra time to develop.

No. That game granted is fun, it's not graphics king though. It's basically Uncharted in a constant scripted sequence, and those are the only areas that look generally above average.

team fortress 2 has the best graphics. period. as an overall visual package, it can't be topped.
