So people think Skyward sword actually looks that bad? (56k users beware)

I've been hearing alot of comments on how it looks like a "ps2 game", some going as far as calling it n64-ish.

Now chances are some of these are probably troll comments, but for those who honestly think such, lets do a little comparison within the series.

Wind Waker:

Now lets look at Twilight Princess:

And lastly Skyward Sword

From what I can tell skyward sword seems to have more detail than wind waker while still keeping the bright visuals, and at the same time avoids looking washed-out like Twilight princess.

..how come twilight and wind waker pics are blurry?

Zelda's graphics have rarely been stellar. But what it lacks in power it makes up for in visuals and flair. But recognize this? My goodness, no sir.

I find that with Zelda games, it's moreso the artstyle than if it has "amazing" graphics. That being said however, I'm not a fan of this Zelda's artstyle.

The hardware is dated, the graphics are more than fine for that hardware, but at the end of the day, hater's gonna hate.

I actually love how it looks, not cutting edge, but the art style saves it and looks beatifull, though a bit too empty at times

Pink-goggles tend to blind people to the truth. Even seeing SS in full motion at 60 fps people will still deny that it looks great. Why? Because its a Nintendo game on the Wii.foxhound_fox

Try better screenshots bro, TP looks horrible in the ones you picked. Skyward Sword looks fantastic for a Wii game as well, but I do understand those that aren't fond of the art style... I personally hated it at first but it got to me eventually.:)

The pics of TP and WW are kinda bad. Games look much better in person. (At least on the TV I play on.)

It is nothing special but the game doesn't look bad by any means. Compare it to Duke Nukem Forever to see what I mean.

Thats basically on the same level as TP, but the game isn't as open so they managed to cram a bit more detail into the character models. Aside from the first pic its nothing special

Well, as long as we have that out of the way, let me say that you need to look past graphics. Besides, the most important part of graphics is art styIe, and games like SMG2 show this. The game is better looking (as in more appealing to look at) than many HD games. It's one of the best looking games this gen.

It looks charming.That's enough.
