So people think Skyward sword actually looks that bad? (56k users beware)

Which is 600p too few for a modern console game and 1120p too few for a modern PC game. Thanks for helping me prove my point, I thought I was surrounded by Sheep for a second there...

I think the cel shading makes Wind Waker hold up better then Twilight Princess was playing both not to long ago and TP looks worse then WW at least on my 46inch tv.

Well, a logical explanation is cartoony-graphics and 2-D games ages better than 3-D ones. Of course, graphics in itself is improving at a diminishing returns. 10, 15, 20 years from now, I doubt Crysis, Uncharted and GeoW would look like crap.

Firstly, The WW and TP shots are horrible quality, and the SS shots are bullshots. So...

And secondly, the character's in SS look flat out ugly. *Looks at Debbie* :|

I think the Art style is gorgeous, like the color's and the environments, but those models are just abominations. Kinda balances out to just decent.

You're right, last gen had games like God of War and Uncharted. SS is more like two gens ago, but games like Eternal Darkness for GC still look better than SS.

Not only does SS's art style look like a Saturday morning cartoon, but its in Standard resolution! That's 4x3. I play games like Deus Ex in 25x16 on my PC.

SS looks aweful and I can't wait till it flops. The only reason to keep your Wii is to play old GC games and DL old NES games for nostalgia...

I'm not sure if I'll be getting it but I think it looks nice. I find 3D games from last gen can still look beautiful even though they are technically dated, just like 2D 16-bit games can still look very pretty, for example Super Ghouls n Ghosts which I recently finished and had a lot of fun with. I'm so glad I'm not so hung up on the technical aspects of graphics to deprive myself of playing whatever classic I may want to play, or Xenoblade for the Wii which I'll get soon. I've been into some retro gaming recently and it's actually been a nice change. I also finished Chrono trigger recently and enjoyed it more than FFXIII. Higher tech graphics help but they're not essential.

Eternal Darkness is a master piece, One of the best games from the GC era. It plays better than alot of the crud which people praise this gen and lest gen. Characters look about right for the GC era so dont know why your coming out with "Looks blocky". as you are comparing a Wii game to a GC game.

While it is ideal to have an open mind, Haz, some people just won't ever be interested in everything offered. All we can do is agree to disagree and respect their preferences.

Graphics definitely suck, but i am not getting it cause of the horrible Wiimote. Graphics suck on 360 and PS3 aswell.

RE 5 got the same score as Twilight Princess. RE 4 is considered a top 5 all-time console game. And the funniest part is that REmake, a GC game, looks better than Zelda SS, and scored higher than TP. Go look at some old screenshots if you think I'm lying.

I messed that up. What I meant was it plays in 480i, or 704x480, or 7x4 for short. The important number is the 4. Todays PC games are made in 2560x1600, or 25x16 for short. The important number again being the 16. Modern games are thus 4 times sharper than last gen games that play at 7x4.

Long story short, Zelda SS is last gen. And it looks like a cartoon. And it has bad music...

I need to get component cables or something for my Wii before Skyward Sword comes out, because as great as I think the game looks it will never be as sharp on my TV as it is in the screenshots you posted Shinobishyguy. :(

I looks heavily downgraded from Twilight Princess and that one is done on the Gamecube.

Wow Twilight Princess looks a lot worse than I remember! :o
