Soundtracks That Are Better Than Halos?? Are There Any?

MGS series, Lost Odyssey, Zelda series, Metroid series, Mario series, most Final Fantasies, Alan Wake, GTA, Red Dead Redemption, LittleBigPlanet, Eternal Sonata, and Mass Effect.

Yes there are soundtracks that are better than Halo; however for me the Halo soundtracks are high up there.Homeworld, the C&C games with Frank Klepacki staff, and one newer game that comes to mind would be Alan Wake. I love The Poet and The Muse, and also Children of the Elder God.

I've always liked the Silent Hill soundtracks. Nothing like Halo in terms of style. Darker and moody.

I know that there are tons of great soundtracks out there, and im 100 percent sure there are probably mind blowing ones i havent heard yet. However, as far as I am aware, alot of people give credit to Halo series for having the best soundtrack ? Is this true? I have noidea, but I will say I think it is extremely well made, having a ton of emotion and outstanding vocals and orchestra. Certain songs, especially Rain from ODST and Havy Price from Halo 2 really move me, make me feel the events of the game besides just seeing them and pumping bullets.

I love soundtracks so I am really curious, is there a better soundtrack than Halos. If there is i would love to hear it.

I would say for myself that if there was a soundtrack close to Halo's grand music it may be Assassins Creed's music. It does not have that same EPIC feel that Halo music has, but it is probably the most beautiful game music I have ever heard, and sometimes even a little haunting and supernatural. Given the very supernatural ending the gamer had and the beautiful streets of Venice and Florence tied in, the music ties in with the game amazingly. I also like Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and any Legend of Zelda's soundtrack. Bioshock's is great and atmospheric.

KZ2 just won an award for its soundtrack.

I got to say that it deserves it, I have no complains about the game's sound, very energetic. Not sure if it it tops Halo, but it's definitively up there.

The FF games also had very memorable soundtrack. FF7 was a bit overrated IMO though...

AudioSurf and Beat Hazard, because their "sound tracks" theoretically consist of every single song that has ever and will ever be committed to digital media, including the Halo soundtrack.

Its all subjective ofcourse, but I consider the Metroid Prime games to have the best soundtracks of any game I've ever heard.

While lacking in original tracks, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is one of the best soundtracks ever. It's the amalgamation of gaming's best achievements.
