I feel bad for people hyping this game. Funny how I was able to look at this game back at last year's E3 and I was asking over and over again how the gameplay is amazing since all we saw was quick execution kills and animation at the time that wasn't as good as Assasin's Creed 2 and Uncharted 2. I got attacked for doing so and now the demo comes where a lot of people weren't impressive. I'm not saying that this game will be terrible, but I will say the the gameplay definitely didn't look amazing. I have yet to try the demo, but I'm sure that will confirm what I've been assuming about the game.
I just hope that people aren't hyping it because it's an Xbox 360 exclusive and it's something fresh relative to the other 360 games like MW2 rather than it being actually being a very good AAA game. If Mass Effect 2 gets a 9.0 only, then I can't see Splinter cell getting that score based on what I've seen from it (yes, I know they are different genres).
[QUOTE="Ninja-Bear"][QUOTE="Mestitia"] And tetris is a better puzzle game. MGS is a lot more then just stealth.HahadoukenThat's exactly why they shouldn't be compared. The whole MGS vs Splinter Cell debate is just silly, because MGS isn't a stealth game. Except that you can stealth the entire game in MGS4. You cannot in Splinter Cell. Sounds more like a stealth game to me. The definition of stealth is "the act or action of proceeding furtively, secretly, or imperceptibly". You can be stealthy and kill at the same time. Obviously, its all about not getting caught.

So you have had a chance to play the whole game? Oh wait you havent even tried the demo :|My cousin just turns 8 on April 13th...It is clearly a sign that the game will score the same as his age. CLEARLY

So you have had a chance to play the whole game? Oh wait you havent even tried the demo :| I have the special ability to watch gameplay video and make a accurate assessment of how the games gamelay will be. I know I sound arrogant and ridiculous, but consider that I've been able to do this with virtually every big game that has come out that I've gotten the chance to play after. There are certain games that you know just scream quality and improvement when you see them in motion. AC II gameplay looked improved and based on interviews, they said that they improved on everything. Look at the score it got. I'm just good at calling these things. I don't really care if I'm wrong about Splinter Cell either. I just call it as I see it. I'm not going to go and try to damage control if this game was to get a AAA. Notice how I clearly said that "I'm not saying this game will be terrible"[QUOTE="Hahadouken"] Except that you can stealth the entire game in MGS4. You cannot in Splinter Cell. MGS isn't even stealth, there's nothing stealthy about it. AI with a pre-fixed cone of vision? Puh-lease. All of the 'stealth runs' on YouTube are people taking advantage of dumb AI and using tricks to bypass certain areas, not sneaking through and beating the mission without anyone ever knowing you were there which is absolutely possible in Chaos Theory.
Isn't there one part in the original Splinter cell where it's impossible to stealth it?
I'm just now getting into Splinter Cell. Can't believe I hadn't done it sooner. Good series.SpiritOfFire117Although according to your sig you're playing it on the PS2 which is a shame; the PS2 and gamecube versions were usually nerfed ports of the xbox and PC versions which were much better.

I cant remember the whole of the first game. There are story-based moments where you have to do certain things which might not be totally stealthy.[QUOTE="SpiritOfFire117"]I'm just now getting into Splinter Cell. you should get chaos theory on the xbox though. it's 94 at metacritics whereas the ps2 port is somewhere in the low 80s.

I cant tell if your trolling or if you just have no common sense (maybe both :P)Hes saying that the demo gives you no choice but to brutally murder the first 3 things you see (4 if you count the guy in the toilet) which is true
I still think it will get a 9.0(AAA), 8.5(AA) the lowest it will get. I didnt play the demo but i like the direction its going, even though it looks nothing like a splinter cell game anymore. I loved every splinter cell game with the exception of double agent, the forumla for the past games was getting old, i wish they could have freshened it up a little differently, but its nice to see a change in the series none the less.
[QUOTE="Swift_Boss_A"]
This game needs to get a 10.5 or 11 in order to claim the 'best stealth action game' title :P
SgtKevali
Why?
cuz MGS4 got a 10
[QUOTE="Arjdagr8"]Your supposed 'full stealth' walk through has the player shooting the first three people he encounters. :| For the love of god please tell me you are joking? It forces you to kill the first three people, theres no way around it, you know why? ITS A TUTORIAL to show you the mark and execute feature. You know like in a lot of games' tutorials where the game doesn't proceed until you have done something specific???? You can't even move during when aiming for the mark and execute for the first three guys.I'm guessing half the people here didn't use the sticky cams, portable emps, emp grenades, flash bangs and frags right?

I hate it when people say they've dumbed it down when there are clearly plenty of different ways to go through the game.
And for those who were saying non-lethal takedowns, what exactly were you expecting after you saw the huge amount of videos of conviction which started LAST E3. None of them had non-lethal takedowns. And like I showed in the first link, you can do full stealth. THERE IS EVEN A MODE ON CO-OP WHICH GIVES GAME OVER ONCE YOU ARE SPOTTED.

But AA = Great.I can't believe the offical hype for this game is AA. There have been more great SCs then good.

Plus this has co op and multiplayer ... Uncharted did not.I'll be watching closely to see how this game does here. If Uncharted 1 was able to get a 8.0, 3 years ago, then this game better deliver an experience just as immersive and fun as Uncharted did. Also, this game is suppose to be longer, so there's more upside.
