Further proof that the PC market is expanding rather than diminishing, despite what many here would like to believe. Steam now has 50 million registered users and continues to offer gamers with all sorts of great deals on games and free features.

I don't like drm but steam is the best online gaming service by far and the sales are good. I have so many games on my pc I can't play them all even if I had no life and the next steam sale pops up and boom I purchase more. Console gamers talk trash but have no idea how many games are on pc and the price is right. We all know pc has the best sound and graphics and online already. So why do people talk trash about the best gaming platform around bar none is beyond me.

The only type of gaming under threat is dedicated handhelds, what with Vita doing very poorly and 3DS not exactly setting the world on fire either, and with huge competition from tablets/smartphones. Both consoles and PC are doing great, if you look at the numbers both are clearly growing.locopatho
