Further proof that the PC market is expanding rather than diminishing, despite what many here would like to believe. Steam now has 50 million registered users and continues to offer gamers with all sorts of great deals on games and free features.

For reference:

Steam hit 5 million concurrent users and 35 million registered users less than 1 year ago Link

good hopefully 6million tf2 downloads.

I mean who really has steam but not tf2.

In 5years with the rate pc gaming is expanding Tf3 will have a bigger userbase then Black ops 4.

lol no more of a troll then you are hell no more of a troll then heil is. am I really being judged by 2 piss ants?

I think the funniest thing is that Hermits are proud of this....Hermits that hate DRM, more often then not are pirates are proud that a heavy intensive drm suite has massive amounts of users because they offer 99% off sales twice a year.
As I've said before you only have two choices when releasing a game on the PC steam, and server based games...

You talk so much about hermits being pirates and yet I bet the huge majority of them in this forum have more games on steam than you on the 360 or PS3. Quite a few of the regulars here have in the order of two, three and even over four hundred games on steam alone,so shuf the f*** up redneck.

I don't like drm but steam is the best online gaming service by far and the sales are good. I have so many games on my pc I can't play them all even if I had no life and the next steam sale pops up and boom I purchase more. Console gamers talk trash but have no idea how many games are on pc and the price is right. We all know pc has the best sound and graphics and online already. So why do people talk trash about the best gaming platform around bar none is beyond me.

The only type of gaming under threat is dedicated handhelds, what with Vita doing very poorly and 3DS not exactly setting the world on fire either, and with huge competition from tablets/smartphones. Both consoles and PC are doing great, if you look at the numbers both are clearly growing.

PC gaming isn't exactly growing in the way you would like.

It's Facebook and other social / MMO / web browser stuff that stands for most of the growth :/

It's basically only Blizzard and Valve that thrive on PC atm, out of the traditional gaming publishers.

Meanwhile PC publishers like Paradox and 1C are on the rise

Sega has heavy reliance on PC franchises such as Total War and Football Manager

GOG, Origin and GMG say hi.

Their judgement was accurate, you are a troll and your last comment like so many prior to it, confirms that. So Steam is DRM? Well, so is your XBOX.

Choices when releasing games on 360 ...Retail ( which is slowly dying out ) and digital, you know, something console gamers like you condemned a few years back.
