I have an urge to replay MGS3.
Vita version plays very well, if you're looking at that.
of course, if you still have a PS2 disk than it's probably not worth it, even with the portable factor.

I WAS JUST GONNA POST THAT

Of course you should. The greatest of games are always calling back to us.
It's the Peace Walker buzz that's doing it. The game's so great, but its level design and execution of its ideas pull it back. I know that if I were to take a look at PW's core "building MSF" mechanics, they'd be pretty shallow, but it's still fun to run and tranq through thanks to dual analog sticks on the Vita.
I highly disagree about the "One game for the rest of your life" (or whatever the question was) where you said Peace Walker btw. The game's level design and missions simply aren't good enough for me to agree.

Go pound sand shit bag. Read some of your shitty posts. Terrible. Get a freaking life. Don't like what I post? Don't read it. There's more to life than mommy and daddy's basement.

It's glorious when pretentious douchebags just... Prove themselves. I love this guy.

Usually playing Metal Gear always leads me to play another Metal Gear. That game usually ends up being either Metal Gear AC!D or AC!D 2 as its card system encompasses all Metal Gear lore up until the release of AC!D/AC!D 2. It compliments whatever mainline MGS I'm playing nicely.
You're right, the Mother Base mechanic isn't terribly deep but it's fun trying to seek soldiers with the best stats and skills to make MB as efficient as possible which leads to better gear and equipment. Building and customizing Metal Gear ZEKE is fun as well.
Oh that was about a console game that had as much replayability as Total War: Rome II. As much as I love Peace Walker (and it's insane replayablity) that wouldn't be the "one game for the rest of your life"
Just pulled the trigger and ordered a PS4 from best buy. Got express shipping as well, so it should be here by friday hopefully. (it says estimated arrival time is 1/30, aka. tomorrow)
I was going to get these with the order as well:
Tomb Raider:DE
AC4:Black Flag
CoD:Ghosts
and a PSN+ card
with it, but they would have either taken several days to get here, or I would have had to pay the express shipping price for each item I just listed, which is pointless because I can just go to the store and walk out with them. Also, Tomb Raider:DE is sold out online.
i guess we moooo now?

AHHHHH I JUST GOT MORE METAL GEAR ZEKE PARTS
Yeah, this stuff is fun as hell. Props to Kojima for taking a chance on the PSP even in 2010. I feel bad for shitting on how deep it may be, MSF building is so damn fun. It just doesn't always remain addictive with how cryptic things can seem, how often items are just useless, and how easily GMP comes about. That and a few gameplay issues (not pausing the game while switching the weapons/items was a braindead idea, 2/3 slot-switch be damned). Still, I love this game.
How are MGA? Fun fact, the first was the very first game I bought for my PSP. I just never got into the game since I was much more of a rash brogamer back in the day.

This site sure has died since the restructure.
Yeah, Blab actually had this graph that showed how the traffic on this site has plummeted since the redesign. Like, worse than Halo 4's online population.
That sucks. I have noticed it isn't nearly as lively as before... well lets put it this way, I've been seeing random alts bashing things left and right instead of actual meaningful conversation nowadays.

Join the club of those who visit this site and have a pair of working eyeballs. It's really damn bad.
It looks like nintendo has been ineffective in targeting kids on both the 3ds and the wiiu and they plan to fix that. And what's up with that philip thread?
You don't know Philip?

Don't you dare play with my emotions like that, Phazon. I'll smack you like Philip would smack you.
Wait, I have been misinformed. Phillip didn't drown, he's just a fish.
I was concerned for a minute. I thought he might have air drown...that's a fish thing, right?
Also, pretty sure Super locked that thread because Philip is black.
Just checked my email to see an update I got 5 hours ago, telling me my PS4 has shipped already, and will be here tomorrow.

It isn't that surprising seing how they killed pretty much all of the unions
I usually don't share personal stuff here, but I'm just so proud! Video from my sons graduation... couldn't be more proud of the little fellah. :'(
February North American PS+:
First up is Outlast, the PlayStation 4 horror title.
We actually already knew it was coming to PlayStation Plus, as Red Barrels, the game’s
developer, revealed the news last week. But
Sony’s reiterated and confirmed it, so expect
Outlast for free at some point if you have PS+
and own a PlayStation 4. As far as PlayStation 3 games are concerned,
4A Games’ Metro: Last Light will be free, as
well as PayDay 2 and Remember Me. You can
read the review of Metro: Last Light here, PayDay 2 here, and Remember Me here. And then there’s PS Vita, which will have two
free games in February. The first one up is
Street Fighter X Tekken, and the second one
will be ModNation Racers: Road Trip. You can
read the review of the former here and the latter here.
@2ndwonder: :) why did you abandon rc?
Had to sta... Follow you all the way here. ;o
Thanks you are the bestest :) I've met some people here that I really like talking to. Didn't mean to abandon rc. :(
:o we can go back over there if you want.
I gotta admit, I get these bad nostalgia rushes from thinking of the old SW
I know I haven't been on that much due to stuff nor have I been a member for as long as some of you, but I do miss it too a little bit.
Now the community is getting less fun too. I got no one left that I really care about here that's not on Steam. I usually post elsewhere now. Nothing to do but just mess with the mods.
