@funsohng: it's actually not.
I usually don't care about graphics, but I played the demo on old launch 3DS, and the screen and rez was too small for me to play well.

Without even beating Dark Forces, I started replaying Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, starting with a female Jaden (even though it isn't "canon" in the EU), reserving Saber play until it's dueling time (using a lot of blasters).
I remember when I could look at that game's protagonist and not had to remind myself about Jaden Smith.
Heh, I had to remind myself of Jaden from that god awful Yu-Gi-Oh! GX when I first played it.
Saw one of the best "rekt" moments in real life today! :P

Likely NSFW. Or not. Just in case :P
As I was walking to my university a young woman ( I say young but she could be 30/40 for all I know) was walking in front of me. There's construction/restauration being done on an "old-ish" building near the Uni. As she passed by it, one of the workers looks at her and shouts:
- "Hey gorgeous! I'd suck what you love most anytime!"
To which she answers:
- "What? My husband's cock?"
Oh, sweet Jebus! Fatality! Rekt! XD His co-workers all started laughing at him like the noob he was!
Well done, random woman! :D
Why did he say I'd "suck" what you love most?
I mean did she have big tits? That would give him the impression she loved her tits? Because eating pussy isn't a "sucking" process, it doesn't work that way, you'd be doing it wrong....
It reads like he set himself up.
@jg4xchamp:
Makes more sense in portuguese. We don't use to term "eat" for it. Suck is used for the ladies and the gents, thus the comeback makes sense (and was awesome!) :P
Still, it was pretty cool she answered at all. Most women just pretend they didn't hear it. Not sure why construction workers feel the need to randomly talk to women like that either lol

Well I'll give you that I'm actually playing the game on a New 3DS XL Monster Hunter Edition, but I hardly got lost or anything on the old Launch 3DS. Though I will say that going from Launch 3DS to New 3DS XL is completely worth it and I have no need to even return to the Old Launch Model.
With that said, I'm still sad there isn't a WiiU version. Capcom be hating.
If you have a GAF account (I know @jg4xchamp and @Slashkice are members), you should check out this thread if you haven't already.
Didnt know that was coming out soon.
Btw, I was gonna give you my extra copy of Frozen Cortex, but I decided not to. Because you're just. Not. That. Awesome.

Be awesome. Give it to me. ლ(ಠ_ಠლ) I should beat Frozen Synapse first or at the very least settle a little score I have with a rocket squad. Never have I rage quit made a tactical retreat so quickly until I met them. >.>
Now that I'm spending more commute time on trains with my truck gone, I'm rediscovering Tearaway. I hate it when you get back to a game and forget central mechanics like the damn glue.
So far I've been really enjoying Majoras Mask 3D. Majoras Mask used to be one of my least favorite Zelda's, but replaying it so many years later, I can see why it's so good.
However, I am about to do the Great Bay Temple...may God have mercy on me...
You shouldn't be buying shit like Dead Island 2 day one anyway. It'll be half price a few months down the line.
I'm also Canadian
Doing a quick currency conversion, this puts us on par with the US. Still...*Sigh*
No JP voice track in Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.
Pre-order cancelled. Will get at a later date.
ENG voice is cringe worthy.
Call me weaboo or whatever but i always prefer original voice work. Its more sincere and gets better emotion.
Preferring the original voiceovers is one thing, calling the English dub bad is another thing entirely when the voices match the character and the localized script isn't dry.
@Technoweirdo: Yes, converting it does line it up and thinking about it critically, it makes sense. To not bring it up would just create a grey market with americans importing everything. That said, given it was already raised to $70 when the dollar was only starting to turn to shit, the fact they'll only do profit or on par irks me. I can't imagine they aren't losing money with the price point. seems strange to me they wouldn't just take the hit anyways and maintain good will.
There is also the fact that these price jumps aren't matched. Converting it doesn't matter much to the average consumer, reality is it takes just over full shift of minimum wage work to afford a single game now, whose earnings haven't grown to match the inflation.
One of the big questions regarding the industry today is whether AAA development is sustainable; whether it'll have to change or stagnate or possibly crumble altogether. Hardware evolves rapidly. Development speed on the other hand has only slowed down as one person can only do so much coding and asset creation to take advantage of hardware before they need an extra (hundred) pair of hands and their weight in gold to match. That, in turn, led to...well...this.
Taking a hit in the name of goodwill isn't really gonna do them much good. Consumers aren't willing to get hit either if it's gonna cost them a day's work now, possibly more next gen. AAA might not be able to survive if market conditions don't change.
But I do wonder: Is that -really- a bad thing?

I'll play my superior Wii version with JP voice track that made the characters like Dunban and Shulk even more awesome.
Dunban = vegeta and one of the detectives from detective conan and his peformance in Xenoblade was the best.

You could go play a good game instead.

This. I personally thought the japanese dub was pretty dull.
@Ballroompirate: really cool concept, bad execution. also, they should have got the real pink ranger and green ranger. amy jo johnson>>>>katee sackhoff. van der beek was cool as always
I agree on all accounts, except Katee played a pretty decent PR in that short flick
Exciting news for me today! There's a Redwall video game that's being worked on, as well as a film adaptation!
The Redwall series, written by the late Brian Jacques, was a huge part of my life in middle school and high school. The worlds were vast, the stories epic, and the characters wonderful. These were the stories that shaped goodness and inspired heroism, and I've said for years that a video game a la The Legend of Zelda or Battlefront would make for an excellent IP if done right, but Jacques himself was not a fan of the medium. He passed about two years ago I think, so I'm only a little surprised that one is now being worked on but I find it very exciting!
I haven't read the full pitch, but it sounds like it's a Kickstarter which I have never utilized, partially because of where I'm at in my life in terms of my goals with finances, as well as personally not wanting to contribute to the Kickstarter model. But this game would probably push me over the edge to donate, especially knowing their aspirations. I don't know the developer's previous works and will have to do some research, but from their pitch video it sounds like they care a lot of about the stories the books told and want to make a game focused around that which I am 100% for.
@darkspineslayer: Soooo...whats the difference between that and Dying Light? Aren't they by the same studio too? Or is it publisher?
Different Dev, different publisher. Dead Island 2 is being done by the team that did Spec Ops The Line while being published by Deep Silver, which published the first Dead Island. Dying Light was done by the original Dead Island team and published by Warner Bros.
Put my name down for a 26.2 mile marathon in September while the farthest I've ever run before is 10 miles at an 8 minute pace.
I'm legitimately terrified of the amount of training and preparing I'll have to do to get ready for this.
