I got my paycheck today. Besides some needs, I got me:

-Cowboy Bebop - The Complete Series (DVD)

-Ultimate Spider-Man: Limited Edition (PS2) - The thrift store I work at sold this for seven dollars (US). Normally, selling limited editions of older stuff would be more than that.

And I also bought my sister Fall Out Boy's American Beauty/American Psycho album.

My buddy is selling both his 290s for $100 a piece to upgrade to 980s.

I'm tempted to grab them since my mobo supports crossfire. But then I'd probably need a better power supply and I'd have a rig with a dual core and two r9290s which seems a bit lopsided.

It's not even remotely close to being bad, everyone just has bad system wars habits where shitting up a thread is allowed. Or they love hiding behind the veil of "it's my opinion" when on that forum people will not only go to bad for their opinion, detail their opinion, and then give straight up examples that justify their opinion with the level of objectivity (any Arkham Asylum v Arkham City thread for instance).

Only shitty thing about gaf at this point is the following picture, because it's legit one of the dumbest things someone could be posting on a forum.

My sons and I picked up Force Unleashed 2 this week super cheap. We finished it tonight.... Good god what a shitty story that game had.

I give up on Oblivion. This game is beyond saving. Maybe it was good when it came out (thought I don't remember it being good in 2007 when I played it), but now, it's piece of shit. Its writing is bad, the world is bad, quests are bad, dungeons are bad, everything about it is just painfully boring and tedious. Especially now that Skyrim is out, I don't see the point of torturing myself through this just because I don't feel like I wasted 5 dollars on it.

One thing I found useful about Oblivion was that now Kingdoms of Amalur is so much more interesting in comparison. I might actually try and beat it this time once and for all.

I started Far Cry 2 with Dylan's Realism Mod. It's good so far. But I think FOV is way too narrow and now I have a headache.

Oblivion was pretty meh when it came out.

I find almost every bethesda game to be extremely poor. that's just my opinion tho.

like... i'll never understand this obsession people have for open world games. 90% of them are made by the same shitty developers, and almost 99.9% of them are broken pieces of shit with little to no story, just a whole lot of mindless wandering and killing. if you can even get those two things to work properly.

like... give me one of these 'movie games' people like to shit on, because of their lack of choices and freedom, any day of the goddamn week instead. Those are guaranteed to be better structured anyways...
