System Wars Lounge V.65: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Edition

I should have thought that they would appear there, I don't really know if it was. Also sorry for treading the line kind of there, but don't worry, I ain't like that. I look forward to seeing it.

Just saw Star Wars. It's not bad, but... meh. And no, I'm not a picky bastard with movies the way I am with games. So much seemed telegraphed though. Everything was predictable from a mile away. Wish they could chill on the fan service, but Star Wars basically is fan service, so I guess that was unavoidable.

Some cool stuff here and there though, and not a bad set up for a trilogy.

Just played Rocket League for the first time.

Weirdest game of the year. And Splatoon was released this year.

The controls can take getting used to, but the mechanics are incredibly nuanced.

Just a tip. I highly reccommend changing the camera stiffness option to something that's not the default (0) to like .75 or something. Really helps you align long distance/long run shots more accurately while under boost since the change in velocity makes the camera has a noticeable alignment delay high speeds. Also, play around with the camera options, it's mostly preference but it can make a big difference.

The last three times I took part in the Splatfest, my teams won (Decepticons, Pirates and Burgers), so I'm hoping for a Naughty win this time :D

But yeah, Rocket League is weird because I never thought a game with a concept like this could work, and work so well at that. I sat down to play maybe a match or two at most to figure out if it's any good, but I ended up playing it for like two hours straight. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. And yeah, that's the best part, I think, that the game is actually based on proper physics, not just random arcade-y trash.

Definitely gonna play more of it. MUCH more.

Lara Croft: Go is cheap on the Google Play store.

So I picked up Star Wars: Battlefront this evening cause I'm riding the hype train. So I'm playing a mix of:

Star Wars: Battlefront, Splatoon, Halo 5, and Destiny: The Taken King. Never before have I played so many online shooters, and each of them so diverse.

And I'm just taking part in my first Splatfest. My god, this game is wonderful.

I didnt think too highly of it compared to other JRPGs on the PSX. It's overwrought with a poorly translated, convoluted text heavy script, some laughable implementations of symbolism and religious references. The 2nd half of the game feels blatantly rushed and unfinished. It's hard to say whether or not it has aged well. But be warned of an Incredibly high encounter rate, some pretty passable combat and there is this maze part of the game that i can recall being incredibly bad.

Should I get the Mario kart Wii u for $250 or see if maybe the splatoon/smash bros bundle gets back in stock?

What can I say, it's an amazing game. I don't even have the New 3DS model LOL. I just bought it because I love it so much man.

God, that movie was so good! Few movies actually get me emotional, but Episode VII hit the feels quite a number of times.

Xenoblade, Pokemon, Tearaway are amazing (you already know abotu Xeno :P ).

Saints Row IV and Assassin's Creed are rough but you'll still get plenty of enjoyment out of them.

Downloaded the new COD and played it for free with Steam's weekend deal... wow, amazing to see how far COD has fallen. All this new tech and bullcrap has caused COD to lose its identity. It plays like COD, yet it feels like a cheap run of the mill shooter. Bored after two matches. Uninstalled thereafter. Incredible garbage.

I avoided all trailers and interviews all year long and gave it the best shot I could. I figured J.J. being a fan would help and I was amped. I re-watched the trilogy Ep. 4-6 unaltered on Laser, watched EP 1-3 on Blu, then watched the Lucas altered Ep. 4-6 on Blu these last few months...even threw in Spaceballs on Blu.

Up next, Tarantino in 70mm.

I'm gonna need Dark Souls 1 on PS4 after I'm done with DS2.

It's a good game but damn the enemy placement and level design is much worse than any souls game. The controls feel different but I got used to after some time. Who the hell spawns 4 ruin sentinels in a single room lol. And this is at Drangleic castle. Iron keep was tough.

Just got back from the theater.. star wars was truly amazing i had to wait in line-up for over an hour

Loved it. The characters were great, and the visuals were terrific. I have a couple criticisms, but none of it was enough to stop me from having the biggest grin on my face or just being enthralled by it.

If I didn't have all this stuff to do this weekend, I would have gone to see it again already. May go tomorrow, for sure on the 23rd with my dad.

I would surely go see it again too, i think im in-love with that female character lol she's gorgeous

@finalstar2007: Daisy Ridley was wonderful in the role. She performed incredibly well, and I agreed with my wife when she said that Rey is a fantastic role model for young women.

And definitely gorgeous, yes. ;)
