Man, all this SW talk is making me think about reinstalling SWTOR

@davillain-: @Maroxad:Yeah he barely got any Screen Time as did the Captain Storm Trooper who I thought would have more screen time. but Kylo Ren in general was a dissapointment.
and yeah I agree that Kylo Ren took his helmet off too much in this film, but I expect him to not take it off in the other films because of what Rey did to his face.
Finished Final Fantasy X.
Great game. Good ending. That post credits scene kind of ruined the climax though.

I like to pretend the post credits scene doesn't exist. It's such a perfect ending, and I think that scene sort of takes a dump all over it and cheapens it a fair bit.

Yeah, but I guess they put it in so that they could have something to work towards as far as Yuna's personal story in FFX-2 goes.
Either way, it's still up to interpretation (both, in 10 and 10-2) and I chose to interpret it as a meaningless scene.
Anyhow, I loved FF10. Great game, if a bit unpolished and choppy. I'm glad I decided to play it.

But they didn't have to make 10-2. 10 is such a perfect story all by itself, and 10-2 just feels like an unnecessary, shoehorned sequel. I mean, sure, it explores some fascinating questions, but you could do without it entirely.
I think 10 by itself, and without the post credits scene, is a great story. Probably Square's best told story ever, actually.

I agree that 10 was perfect as it was, a self-contained story that needed no sequel. But looking at how wonderful a job they did with world and character building in FF10, it's understandable that they would want to return to it. From what I know of 10-2, even though tonally it's largely different from 10, it explores some interesting questions about Spira after the events in the latter. And it does it well, from what I know.
Either way, I have no intention of playing 10-2, since one of the reasons I liked 10 so much was that tonally, it wasn't afraid to throw heavy stuff at you and just have a desolate feel all around. I can see the allure 10-2 might have for some, but I'm perfectly happy leaving the story as it is right now for me.

It was so funny when you finished Persona 3 a few weeks ago and said 'that was sad. I need to play something more lighthearted now. Guess I'll go play FFX.' Like, seriously, that made me lmao.
I just want to share my 2000th post with my fellow system warriors. That is all.
Congratulations! :)
Khoof nailed why they did X-2 and why I got it back then. Plus the XII was so far off and I just thought a sequel to a Final Fantasy game? Never seen that before, so why not.
X-2 excels at being a good revisit to the game world and the "Free" structure of the game really suits it well. You revisit places and see the the events that occur in the world after X and it was engaging and satisfying revisiting all the places again to see what changed. Compare that to XIII-2, where you're basically traversing through mostly empty and dull timepaces in the middle of nowhere with cameos here and there that may not even exist.
The game in general was enjoyable for what it was. There's a FF "Job" system there that's pretty straightforward and not as deep as V, Tactics or BD, but still remains flexible. Combat is more fast paced as actions are really responsive. I prefer the Blitzball Manager game of X-2 over X. There are cool new locations that you come across throughout the adventure and I found Paine's story arc quite interesting which ties in well with the games main objective of piecing together those spheres (i think?) that store those historic recordings.
It's hella cheesy with some laughably bad moments, but I thought Yuna is portrayed stronger and better in X-2 compared to how meek and fragile she was in X.
btw, khoof, if you do end up playing it. There's alot of bullshit with the game when it comes to missables. Things like classes can be missed very easily. Things can close off iirc and the requirements for the "Full Ending" is all over the place with very obnoxious requirements.
I did some reading on FF10-2 and I also liked how they've struck a balance between showing the aftermath to both, Spira's story at large and Yuna's personal story. It makes me want to play it ;__;
Also, Wakka and Lulu get married? WTF. I always thought of them as having a brother-sister relationship.
@Gamerno6666: How far along is the manga? I've been saving up the episodes to watch back-to-back, but it's gonna suck if we either get a hiatus, or just filler.
Not that much. There isn't enough content in the manga for season 2 but if they follow the webcomic mad house can easily do a season 2. But I want madhouse to hold on until Murata completes the whole garou arc which will take a lot of time considering the pace of the manga.
One Punch Man finale thoughts.
I am not satisfied. I need season 2. :'(
Today's episode was the final episode? F**K!
i havent seen it yet but i will very soon.. sigh there no more anime to watch i always enjoyed looking forward to Sundays because of one punch man lol
anyone got any advice on what anime to watch thats good?

I assume the web-comic follows a different story arc. I've been looking forward to the end of S1, but I may have to hold off.

The overall arc is same between the manga and the webcomic but the manga is starting deviate a little bit by adding more detail to the garou arc.( Which is the longest arc in the series btw)
Just got done seeing EP VII, it was better than EP I-III and a New Hope but honestly fell flat cause everything I predicted, happened...seriously w t f...
Spoilers only consists of EU and Abrams lack of creativity, so if you don't know what happens in the EU, SO STAY AWAY
The movie was entertaining but Abrams literally stole shit from the EU...which PISSES ME OFF cause Disney straight up refuses to have the EU be canon
Also Poe is the shit, probably the best new character in SW.
Guys we need to ask ourselves a real tough question right now. Search deep within our soul, gotta rid ourselves of the conversations about petty shit like video games, or sports teams involving players who make way the **** more than you, and all that shit. Be a little a grown up here with this convo.
Are we really sure that The Phantom Menace is a shittier movie than Attack of the Clones? Because I don't know man, Attack of the Clones is really shitty.
I was going to go see the Peanuts Movie today, but local theater isn't showing it. Found out that it's heading to the dollar theaters soon. Damn it!
Well, at least I got tickets to see another movie (guess which?) on Wednesday (my brother's birthday).
@jg4xchamp: Larger Jarjar role and a villian that has no lines, completely chareterized by his weapon, vs whiny Annie and just generally kind of shitty. Hard call.
One Punch Man is ending today. :'(
Just finished the final episode...
It was truly amazing this anime is just so good and funny lol
Saitama sort of remind me of Goku as he thinks of others even to those evil dude i mean during the fight against boros he held back and let boros hit him as much as he was able to just to satisfy his need for a strong opponent hence the sad music at the end... so glad a second season has been confirmed for March next year!

I have been saying for years that Attack of the Clones is the lowest ranked Star Wars movie. It's got some decent moments but eh...
@Zassimick: Personally canon wise
The Clone Wars (2008) > EP5 > EP6 > EP7 > EP3 > EP4 > EP2 >>>>>>>>>>>> EP1 (EP1 was soooo pointless starting the saga at a very young Anakin point of view). The Clone Wars literally makes Anakin into a BAMF (redeems his character from the movies) and made Obi an unstoppable strategist
Embargo's up for all the stuff revealed during Bandai Namco's Jump Festa 2015 press event.

- Tales of Berseria (PS4/PC)
Yay
@finalstar2007: great post. But yeah I haven't seen the final two episodes so I'm looking forward to watching them after my finals.
That OST is amazing.
@Blabadon: Happy Birthday man. I remember the UC drakes fortune days when you used to praise it or those 999 discussions hehe. We created lots of memories here at GameSpot. Those of us who decided to stay with the community and of course the lounge where we all gather and discuss games and stuff. Good times man and happy birthday again. Have a nice party.
@a-new-guardian: @charizard1605: thanks folk
Yeah I generally don't write big posts anymore. I get tired, mostly post on mobile, and there's just not enough discussion relevant to topics at hand.
I still have the link for PUSH (on GameSpot) if you guys want to post there btw.
@Blabadon: I tried posting there, but all the posts get redirected to GGD anyway, so it's pretty pointless. It just acts as an archive at this point.

Maul plus pod racing (which turned into a cool racing game later) makes Phantom menace better.
