Awesome. Thanks Kojima!

Guys we need to ask ourselves a real tough question right now. Search deep within our soul, gotta rid ourselves of the conversations about petty shit like video games, or sports teams involving players who make way the **** more than you, and all that shit. Be a little a grown up here with this convo.
Are we really sure that The Phantom Menace is a shittier movie than Attack of the Clones? Because I don't know man, Attack of the Clones is really shitty.
I don't like sand
@PikminWorld: I still don't get why people hate that part.
While I don't hate it as much as others, it is still a very poorly written scene. I mean, it's supposed to be romantic and he's talking very dully about sand...

I disagree. In context, I believe the place he grew up was brought up. He was expressing his dislike for jakku (in a casual manner) which is why he was talking dully about it. I mean, it's definitely not oscar worthy, but it's certainly not what most people make it out to be.
lol
it was better than MGSV. come at me bro
Oh shit, now you've done it bro.
Prepare yourself.
Is it just me, or does Gundam Extreme VS Force look like an ultimatum:
Buy a dead handheld for one fucking game or watch as One Piece: Burning Blood sows disdain towards 2V2 games on current gen consoles and PC?
Is there a way out of this lose-lose scenario? If not, then may the Omnissiah bless the Vita.
New Berserk anime planned for 2016. Hell yeah.
And the best part is, finally we will able to see guts in the black armor animated.
But I mean, yeah, if we're talking story/characters/writing, what isn't better than MGSV?
Meh, at least the ideas were interesting and original, even if the execution wasn't exactly gold.
Can't say the same for Star Wars 7, a movie that simply rehashs old ideas and plot elements.
I must confess, I have a new love for Chie.
She is amazing, so smart and beautiful and the best of all Persona characters.
I wish she were mine <3 .
Also Persona 4G rocks, play it if you haven't already!
I am most pleased with this post
What's so special about Chie? don't get me wrong, I find her to be cool but what makes her so special from the rest of Persona characters if you'll don't mind me asking?
In all seriousness, she is one of the best written characters in a game with extraordinarily strong characters. She also is one of the most believable and grounded ones (of the playable cast, she probably is the most relatable and grounded one), which is another reason she's so popular.
All Persona characters are great, and you really can't go wrong with any of them- but Chie tends to be the most preferred one in general because of how relatable she is.
Although she isn't the best written character in Persona 4, that would go to either Nanako or Dojima, but they're not playable, so they tend to get overlooked.
@davillain-: You should play Persona 4, really (Persona 5 will have nothing to do with 4). It's already on PS3 for just $10, so you might as well.
@_Matt_: @charizard1605: Is that so huh? Well I need to start playing Persona then. Guess I'll have to buy Persona 5 whenever it comes out.
You really do need to play it. Provided you can look past some average-above average gameplay for a really really well written story, characters, and setting.
Finally a new Bannerlord blog.

What's interesting, though, is that because everything is connected in this way, disruption can be a very effective approach when dealing with an enemy or rival. A simple example is that raiding enemy villages or preventing peasants from making their journey to the local town impoverishes towns due to their lack of goods to process for trade. More indirect benefits can be received by, for instance, aiding a bandit group near to the fief of a rival noble from the same faction, trying to limit their income and gaining a leg over them in the faction standings. Since everything is simulated in this way, no matter what you do, it has a knock-on effect in the world. Manipulating this to your own ends is key to making progress in the game but AI Lords will also attempt to create problems for opponents, in an effort to better themselves.
It is stuff like this that bridges the gap between freeroam games like Skyrim from actual sandboxes. Though, M&B is still no crusader kings, X3 or Dwarf Fortress.
The topography of the map is not entirely consistent with Warband, in fact Bannerlord's map is somewhat more mountainous. The effect of this is an increase in the number of choke points. It will be hard to avoid conflict, for instance, when traversing narrow passes through mountain ranges that may be riddled with ambush spots or enemy patrols. Tactically, the map offers many more options for controlling areas that serve as trade routes. Battles are often fought in the game to contest key choke points with the goal of securing passage for trade caravans and other parties. As a player, it is important to consider what kind of warfare you are likely to end up in, before sacrificing relations with a faction. If your speciality is skirmishing on foot over rough terrain, you might for example avoid engaging the Aserai, who will have higher mobility in the open desert.
I will believe it when I see it. But that sounds incredible.

Note how the blue faction nearly takes over the entire region.
Overall, this sounds nice and all. But I have to say "show us the release date already". Its been 3 years now. You convinced me long ago I wanted the sequel. Oh well, this still beats the graphics blogs they did in the past (no one played M&B for the graphics).
Edit: Did GS recently somewhat improve their forum infrastructure? Things seem... a bit less problematic.

What does P4G add that the original P4 lacks? Does it upscale the graphics and add some other bits that renders the PS2 version rather inferior?

I couldnt force myself to play the golden version past the first dungeon, the game was sooooo boring. But from what I gathered (both the good and not so good).
Among other things

Interesting I suppose. :P Thanks for the list.

The old Chie Voice actor was far too calm, monotome and arguably mature and didnt fit her character very well. The new one is more upbeat, more emotional, more energitic, and just fitted her character much better.
From what I hear, the new Chie VA matches the Japanese Chie VA much better.

The Golden version is undeniably superior. It has newer, updated voice acting, full voice acting, new voice actors (including a better one for Chie and Teddie), new music, cleaned up graphics, better mechanics for Persona fusion, better mechanics for Shuffle Time, better retention of your progress through dungeons, minor asynchronous multiplayer functionality that is a bit Dark Souls-esque and actually comes in handy, an all new dungeon, more CG cutscenes, 20 hours of extra gameplay, and two all new endings, including the new canon ending, as well as two new Social Links. If one has the chance to, one should always play the Golden version over the vanilla one, but the vanilla one is still pretty good for what it is.
Also I love chie, she's strong willed, supportive, loyal, she's everything you would wish for in a friend. But for a lover ii would choose you know who? I'll let you guys guess which of the girls is easily the one I'd go for. I can't explain because spoilers just a hint. (Detective)
Playing the OG P4 is probably why I'm not too fond of Chie, let alone see P4 as high up as a JRPG (sits very close to P3: FES).
That dungeon saving thing sounds pretty intriguing, didnt even know it had that as well as other mechanical changes. Makes me wonder what'll be Persona 5 if that gets some enhanced edition later down the line.
@illmatic87: To be clear, all I meant when I said that was that the game saves your progress in dungeons far better than before (and also lets you save in the middle of dungeons), unlike the original, where you could lose a lot of progress in your dungeon thanks to one misplaced Hama or Mudo.
Golden does have one new dungeon that's a bit better than the tripe that is the rest of the dungeons in P4, but it's still nothing special. Thankfully, what we have seen of P5 already looks better in those regards.

That already makes so much of a difference. The dungeon checkpoints became so sparse once you got to the Dank Rise dungeon. I would have been fine with the old system if the game doesnt game over if the MC gets KO'd and the rest of the party was up. Did they change that, too?.
Looking back, I can't even imagine creating new Personas without being able to pick which moves I wanted passed on. That would annoy the hell out of me.
it was kind of dumb because i could get the moves i wanted by just backing in and out of the fusion screen
Hey, I was so behind with Star Wars, but now found perfect material to prepare for watching 7. It is informative and very nicely illustrated.

I dont like the current fusion skill system. Sure, SMT2 and up were a bit too unreliable.
But the current system allows you to pick and choose all 8 skills. Which in turn results in all demons being effectively the same. In previous games, some demons would not learn certain spells (Jack frost probably wont inherit agi). Which meant you would pick demons more than just their resistances.
I thought SMT: Devil Survivor had a good balance.
