Just about to say that. Hopefully by the time I'm back it's up for me :(**** it, time for a cig.

Epic does not even begin to describe it. There will be many great games this year, but The Elder Scrolls V is up on another platform entirely for me. The only other game that I am putting up there beside it is Dark Souls. Anyway, it looks fantastic. Looking like they have absolutely nailed it. The dragons especially look and sound perfect.

Wow, it looks better than I thought it would, and the game looks a billion times more interesting and well done then Oblivion. Son of a gun they got my full attention with this one.
The funny part is that all the elitists bashing the Elder Scrolls series will still end up buying Skyrim. Also, that giant spider in the trailer looked badass. Hopefully there is a wide variety of creatures to fight (something lacking in Oblivion/Fallout).
Boohoo! ;'( That's impressive, better than a modded Oblivion, You do realize this is the xbox360 version? Modded Skyrim will look ridiculous so quit complaining. Why don't you talk about how awesome the animations look? Or the different unique environments?Very disappointing. Theres 40 seconds of CG. About 30 seconds of gameplay that ear clips of 3 seconds or less and the rest are in-engine cinematics. The game barely looks better than a modded Oblivion.

Yeah, I liked Oblivion but I never got deep into it. This new game looks to be way more fun and action packed.
Love the viking theme.

The environments are already more varied and immersive than oblivions, the combat looks better although we didnt get to see much, third person view looks better, and the awful oblivion skill system is gone :P. Man I am going to be buyign way too many games this year :P.

I hope its the 360 version. Its clearly holding back the PC.
The animations don't look all that great. Mass Effect and Dragon Age have much better animations. The "unique environemnts"? Viking flavored with a big helping of generic medieval.
I had higher hopes when they hired Arkane Studios to help them. Dark Messiah still looks like it has better combat than Skyrim. The player looks completely disconnected from his opponents just like in Oblivion and Morrowind. Arkane Studio's Arx Fatalis had a pretty interesting world and a unique setting. Skyrim has neither.
Major disappointment so far.

Yeah there are alot of games this year. I still have about 15 or so I never got to finish from previous years... I need to stop collecting games lol.

You got all that from that?..... hardly enough footage to claim this so early... and well life others have said, modded skyrim will look a hell of a alot better than modded oblivion. dynamic weather aswell... its about bloody time.[QUOTE="XaosII"]Good thing folks don't play Besthesda games for their graphics. :roll:Very disappointing. So why not just continue playing modded Oblivion and be happy :)[QUOTE="XaosII"]The "unique environemnts"? Viking flavored with a big helping of generic medieval110millionDA and ME are in very small environments, and are not very varied at all. Viking flavour is awesome.
Morrowind had more flavor. And it was a very large Bethesda game.

Because i was hoping for an improved sequel based on their feedback from both Oblivion and Morrowind plus the talent expertise of Arkane. You're trying to be dismissive of my comments because they dont match yours.
Is this confirmed to be the 360 version? Because if it is then holy crap it looks 1000x better than oblivion on 360. If it's PC then its still impressive but not mind boggling.JakeTD21
Would be nice if they told us... It looks really good if it really is the console version... Like what a 2011 game should look like. It looks meh if it's the PC version.

Not dismissive, just don't see what the point in being so pessimistic over a very short trailer is?The segment with the dragon fight on the ground was killer. The dragon slithered and moved just as you would expect. Not to mention that it looked and sounded just perfect. Bethesda have absolutely it, in my view.
God, the atmosphere. Rolling valleys, brooks, snow covered mountains with rolling mist and dragons roaring through the air... just pure magic. The darker tone is very much welcome as well. Cannot wait to see what kind of a role The Dark Brotherhood plays.
lol at Joystiq
"Dragon fights? Beautiful environments? The kind of score that makes you want to leap out of your chair and just LARP? It's all here. Come with us after the break. Come, have a boner ... or a lady boner."
xD

Umm... Yes i do. Considering the areas they've decided to highlight to showcase the game has very little flavor to them. There wasnt anything in it that seperated it from Gothic 4 or Arcania other than the slight Viking edge.
Its combat still looks completely disconnected from the player.
I'll gladly change my opinion if other videos show otherwise.

Just wait to see and find out more about the game, man. This trailer is hardly enough to go ahead and write the entire game off on, lol.

Ok well have fun with that. Personally I, and I'm going to go out on limb considering your the only person not impressed by something in the video, and the rest of us will enjoy Bethesda's great first gameplay trailer. My personal Goty 2011, don't say im over hyping either, Every Bethesda game is my favorite when it comes out. Morrowind goty2002, oblivion goty 2006, fallout 3 goty 2008. Hell my goty last year was between New Vegas and AC:B. Maybe if Bethesda would have actually developed that one.. Anyways, November is going to be a long wait.We are not worthy this epic trailer.
