The dragon fight in the trailer was all ingame and unscripted.

"Glad people got to finally see some Skyrim animation in this trailer. All that dragon stuff actually happens dynamically in-game."

@OutlanderDF Yes, in-game. Only things not in-game are the shots of the wall from the previous trailer. Dragon fights are pretty epicYangire
Believing Bethesda hype isn't very smart.
This is coming from the same people that said all those lies pre-oblivion.Ice144And here come the cynics. Really, guys, it's not healthy being so pessimistic about everything.

Better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. And Bethesda really were Molyneux-ing it up back then.
At least with Skyrim they're likely to hit their date, so they can't BS us so much that we'll still remember it in November, and they won't have time to talk about features and then take them out. I'm not calling lies on everything they say, but I'm wary of them too.
This will be my 1st Elder Scrolls game I buy. Hope I'm not skipping much :PtonitorsiNot really missing much, story wise this is some huge time jump. 3rd person camera looks useable for once, its pretty ass in the other ones.

I hope they have good animations in 3rd person. No ice skating BS!
This will be my 1st Elder Scrolls game I buy. Hope I'm not skipping much :PtonitorsiStory wise, it's not a problem, but if you want to get deeper into the lore, Morrowind is worth a shot. The gameplay and presentation take some getting used to (mods help), but there's just tons of great backstory to take in if you read some of the in-game books.

To tell you the truth, I was never much of a fan of RPG's because of that turn-based mechanic. But I played Demon Souls and part of Mass Effect 2was overwhelmed at how great they can be if done right. So Action RPG's are the ones that catch my attention the most and the ones I'm willing to spend countless hours on plus a $60 price tag.
I was a bit worried at how it was going to be with Skyrim because I've never dig the First Person view slash RPG hybrid...but this trailer has me hooked and looks very, very promising.
I'll probably buy Morrowind for a cheap price at Amazon. Does Morrowind has that third person integration as well? I'll probably get motion sickness if I play this thing on first person view methinks:P

You can play morrowind in 3rd person, but you might want to to check to see if you'd like the combat.Story wise, it's not a problem, but if you want to get deeper into the lore, Morrowind is worth a shot. The third-person view has pretty much sucked in both Morrowind and Oblivion. No good for anything except riding horses and looking at your dude. There are mods that make it somewhat better, but I've never used them.
If you do decide to play it, get some graphics mods. (this is a great site for them) You can get it looking pretty nice if you have a decent computer.
There's also this mod pack, if you want to just download one big thing.
I hope their emphasis on third-person won't degrade the first-person experience at all. It's nice that they're providing an option, but seeing through the eyes of your character is sort of the essence of Elder Scrolls.GameSpot's Analysis on the gameplay trailer. Their "Breakdown."

The first person parts looked the same as before, I very much doubt they would screw that up. If I had to choose though, I'd very much go with third person. I've played a ton of daggerfall, a whole bunch of morrowind, a lot of oblivion, but I never really truely enjoyed first person much.GameSpot's Analysis on the gameplay trailer. Their "Breakdown."
