that's no blur though, it's depth of field, aka, one of many post process effects. Notice how it is being used to shift focus to the female character because she's probably gonna have a line or something. That's a very common technique used on movies.

As someone who bought the game (because I had a $50 Best Buy gift card lying around and own consoles for their exclusives) and prefer gaming on my PC or Xbox One, I can safely say that The Order is one of the best looking games I've ever seen without question.

Anyone saying that it doesn't look good either hasn't played it or is full of shit. Yeah it's got a lot of filters and other things going on that make it look as good as it does and yeah there are other games that have better graphics from a TECHNICAL STANDPOINT, but in terms of just looking fucking real...I can't think of any other game that looks better honestly and I've played pretty much everything out there on every platform.

I understand that the game is linear and pulls off a lot of graphical "tricks" but that in no way means that the game doesn't look amazing because it does.

You xbox one doesn't display in 1600x900 it display in 1920x1080p which mean pixel get blown up and artifacts are introduce,the order uses a 1080p image with black bars but the image is native display,1-1 there is no blow up of pixels and the image stay clean.

The only thing nice I can say about the Order is the steampunk + supernatural setting.. A setting that really makes it into movies and game media.. Outside of that, from what I have seen of playthroughs.. I feel like they should have just made this a movie rather than a game.. This game would have been amazing like 7 to 10 years back gameplay wise, but the fact of the matter is there are entirely too many games like this in the market place. They lack value in both depth and replayability. It is no wonder most of these devs and publishers wanted to stop things like the game rental industry.. So they can release games that can't be rented by numerous people and beaten in a few sittings.

Best looking game in my opinion, and it was actually fun. It has its issues but I enjoyed it and look forward to a sequel.

It does look pretty good, too bad as a game the same level of careful consideration wasn't given to the gameplay, so I hear. Still, heard yesterday they want to make a sequel already, just waiting for the go ahead from Sony, which might be questionable given the critical reception toward this game. Who knows, maybe it'll sell, or maybe Sony will finance the sequel anyways. Regardless, it would be a shame to let whatever engine and development assets they've built upon for the first game to go to waste. Anyhow, most criticisms of the game seem to be pretty consistent, hopefully the developers don't shut it out and can be mindful of the game's shortcomings (as well as its strengths) if they do end up making a sequel.

Just played it over at a buddies place tonight after work as I don't own a ps4 right now. Easily one fo the best looking games on consoles I've ever seen.. It also deserved better then a 6. It can be boring and repetitive, and the amount of cut scenes are kind of annoying but it deserved at least a 7.

I think Rare will be the ones to make a game that looks next gen to me, they still have amazing programming talent, the same guys that made Nuts and bolts, Kameo etc.

Beyond that idk, Uncharted 4 doesn't impress me either. It's not a system bias either, both consoles can do comparable results it's more up to the developer.

Difference is I actually played Ryse on my 42" 1080p HDTV, and I don't have an agenda as you do. It never looked like that pic you just pulled off the internet when I played it. I have no doubt the Odor looks better, but this habit you have of things becoming blurry when something better looking comes out is fucking bullshit.
