This is spot on, even when you're static and not moving these elements horribly distort the image. Everything in this game looks blurred and has a fog/haze over it, when I first started playing it I kept rubbing my eyes because it makes you feel like there's something wrong with your vision. It may be a very good looking game in a lot of ways but all of these post processing effects really ruin that graphical momentum that this game has built up.

I feel the same way. It just looks low res and blurry. Too much filtering and post-processing. It may be suffering from a severe case of FXAA as well. The image never looks sharp, even when elements are in focus. All that work from the artists and it is a write off due to the blur/haze over the image. They should at least give us the options to disable this stuff. Very poor decisions indeed. I guess the cinematic feel they were going for was a DVD being played on an HDTV with a poor upscaler.

To me the chromatic aberration problem is even worse. I wear glasses and when I look out of them through the side, like all the way to the right or left, I get that effect. So when I'm playing, I feel like I'm not looking directly at the image.
It may be confusing when the black bars are thrown in but this is what the case is.
Ryse runs at a resolution of 1600x900 (which maintains an HDTV's aspect ratio of 1.78:1 - or 16:9). The Order: 1886 will be presented at 1920x800 (which is the CINEMATIC aspect ratio of 2.40:1). At this aspect ratio, you would need a screen resolution of 2592x1080 to avoid the black bars.
You xbox one doesn't display in 1600x900 it display in 1920x1080p which mean pixel get blown up and artifacts are introduce,the order uses a 1080p image with black bars but the image is native display,1-1 there is no blow up of pixels and the image stay clean.

The length of an hdtv is 1920. The height is 1080. Each bar is 140 pixels off the top and bottom. Tormentos did not say it was 1080p, he stated that it still retained the native pixel ratio--meaning zero scaling is going on.

Well I don't know where you get any "bad" from in this game as far as visuals is concerned. I really don't see how it stands out above any of them. Not saying its worse, just that its not leaps and bounds above all. I'd even saying its about the same as dying light (which also used a weird filter) but in dying light you have a large draw distance, especially when climbing on top of high structures. in the order, everything at a distance is blurred, even enemies. and dark lit areas (like the generator room) makes spotting far away enemies hard, they are just basically blurred in with the background. Not to mention, while I don't mind the black bars too much, in combat situations when your in cover you can't get the camera to show you much of where anyone is and the additional few inches the black bars cut off really hurt compared to other TPS style games. I can post screenshots later/tomorrow to show you what i mean. Also even in the cut scenes, they usually blur out everything except the one thing they want you to focus on, sure that 1 thing looks good, but its not impressive when everything else is a blur.
So I just got through a couple more chapters. The Order is a good looking game don't get me wrong. But the film grain and blur used keep it from the top. I would rather look at Infamous Second Son and Ryse.

Yes, that is 100% absolutely, honestly and truthfully what happens in Crysis 3 if you sprint.
Even a blind person can see that the image was severely downsized and colors got messed up... Seriously there is not a single straight line in that screenshot. Someone tried their hardest to make Crysis 3 look the worst as possible.

It doesn't look bad but again It's using a lot of post processing and blur effects to make it look that way. Blur drives me nuts in 99% of games. And this game has it on literally everything under the sun not in the middle of your reticule so it gets a big knock back in the looks department for that alone as I generally turn it off in 99% of games. Top notch though for a PS4 game as it looks in the top three of graphics for the consoles. But over all it's not all that impressive when put up against what is possible on current pc setups. Though I think that's now just something everyone should just know.

The Order looks nice sometimes. Just isn't enough to bump off the King. Now that The One has screenshots, you can see how beautiful this game is. From 2013.

Well honestly its no where near as good as Batman AC combat, but you do have to counter some, shield bash to open up others, and flat out dodge roll and get a strike in on the others. It is a varied combat game. Its just monotonous and weakly executed imo.
