Who said I was skipping trainer battles? Where did you get any of that from what I said?[QUOTE="NationProtector"][QUOTE="Maroxad"]
I am not saying that Black and White 1 werent easy. Of course, the game only gets easier if you only use one pokemon.
What I am saying is that exp gain from random encounters will NOT be sufficient push you to the 50s territory unless you grind. Even by the time you reach elite four. I strongly recall my party being level 50ish by the time I beat the game (I used a party of 3). Also, you will only encounter pokemon between level 37-42 in victory road, unless you fish, surf or take advantage of rippling water. On Soul Silver, I played most of the game being underleveled, so I had to make due with proper usage of passives, items, and moves.
Point is: If you were to skip every trainer battle, you would find yourself so underleveled, you might regret doing so.

I never said you did.
You stated that the game would be really short if you could skip every trainer battle. What I am arguing for is that even if you could skip them, you wouldnt want to turn down an opportunity for EXP and money.
Edit: And regarding the difficulty. Pokemon is not quite as hard as something like Shin Megami Tensei. But I did find it more challenging than most modern Square Enix RPGs.
Considering the left over trainers I did not have to fight on BW, I would have shaved about around 2 hours off the game. And that's adding the fact BW is also more linear than Plat/Di/Pearl. Y and X are supposed to be bigger than both.
