I really hope this megaevolution thing just turns out to be a huge joke. Not only does it destroy their aethestics, but it also seems like it wont do the game balance any favors. At least you will only be able to have one pokemon digievolve per battle.

I have to say, Mega Evolutions is one of the two only design choices I have disliked in the entire series (the other one being removal of the day/night system for Ruby and Sapphire).

I'd have to see Chespin's final evolution to even think about choosing it.

Right now it's the worst of the starter Pokemon.

There's too much stuff going on in the special 3DS units.I would've prefered just one of the legendaries be on each of them.

I'm starting with Fennekin or Froakie.

I might choose Chespin depending on if it evolves into a Grass/Steel type.

Fennekin might be Fire/Fairy instead of Fire/Psychic.

Froakie is probably Water/Fighting.

Because with the new type chart Chespin's grass will be weak to Fennekin's fire; Fennekin's fairy will be weak to Chespin's steel.

Grass s weak against Fire; Fire is weak against Water; Water is weak against Grass.

Steel is weak against Fighting; Fighting is weak against Fairy; Fairy is weak against Steel.

Chespin looks like it'll be grass/ground

Let's be honest here. The only ones who will care when this game flops will be cows and lemmings. No one else will. Sheep will actually be playing their game and loving their 7.0 or 6.5 masterpiece.

So IIRC, you get a new starter, and Kanto starter and a Torchic? Well shit, won't this game be easy. The hardest part will be deciding whether I want Chespin/Squirtle or Bulbasaur/Froakie. Megablastoise looks like a boss, but that would involve me getting Chespin. :(darkspineslayer

I'm glad gamefreak now has a t-rex pokemon. its on of my favorite dinosaurs. though I thought it would have been rock/dark type. I did wish there was a mastodon instead of another sauropod.

and now there is another pokemon news today. I wonder whats that all about. guess it could be the pokemon fighter game.

I like the idea of mega evolutions as it gives older Pokemon more relevance again.

Okay, to settle the new features shown off in the trailer first:

• Fairy type Pokemon
• Mega-evolutions
• Sky battles
• Horde battles
• Persistent online connectivity (Player Search System)
• Full trainer customization
• Pokemon Aime

Now, these games look incredible. The graphics look charming beyind belief, the music is predictably great, and they just look like Game Freak went all out on them. Just wonderful, wonderful games.

In addition to all this, the thread has alos been updated with a bevy of previews, all of which seem to be extremely positive about the game, and all of which are remarking on its incredible pace.

October 12 can't come soon enough.

Can't believe theres only three weeks left till this baby gets in my 3ds.

Any word on how the event thing will work? Can I get it from the eshop without having the game or will I have to wait for my copy? I'm not sure if I'll get the game on the first day. Getting shipped from amazon.zeroyaoi
