The controls look horrible. Buttons top right corner d-pad top left corner WTF is going on here someone said this is gonna kill the switch dude look at the layout. Its beefier than a game gear has terrible battery life probably.
The games are gonna look uglier cause its using a 800p LCD screen compared to an OLED with vibrant colors and switch has a lot of the same games people will compare the colors and go WTF valve. Especially a phone with those gamepads will work way better than this.

I am quite surprised that the Steam Deck does not use a OLED screen and have 4K resolution. I wonder whether dedicated PC gamers would buy such a device knowing they want to play their games with the best specifications.
If a report that states that a OLED screen will add between $3-5 to the cost for each Switch OLED unit, I wonder why Valve did not the same for the Steam Deck. Would adding a OLED screen will greatly affect the price of the Steam Deck?

Why have a 4K display on a device that can't handle 1080p in most games? You could argue 1440p/1600p as it would allow you to play at 720p/800p without any image degradation (2:1 pixel scaling).

I mention the past failure because Valve does not understand that you have to actually bring something to the table to sell long term. Seriously think this through for a moment. What does this device do? Laptops already can have steam on them. People already have steam at home and on multiple other devices it they want. Will this device offer even one game exclusive within itself ever? No. So my question to you is who exactly is this for?
If you have a laptop you most likely will not buy this
If you have steam at home and don't game on the go much you most likely will not buy this
If you want any sort of exclusive titles you most likely will not buy this as you already have steam somewhere else most likely.

hardwarewise they beat sony but....gameswise valvita has no exclusives. in other words it has no games. well unless you count old games from 10 years ago.

Exactly, but everyone and their mom is on some kind of social media. They might've never visited a gaming forum, DF's youtube channel, but if everyone is talking about how shitty performance is of the Switch, and its happening on the likes of Twitter, they will notice no matter what. And if this keeps on going for months or years to come, oof. Bad word of month is what ruins things, EVEN to the clueless casuals. Be ready, it will be fun to watch.
