there in no way in history that R2 will be better than clear skies, the first STAKER was so far ahead of gaming that im still recovering from how awesome it really was .

Gears of War multiplayer can actually be very tactical. Also I might go as far to say that Gears of War has the most satisfying kills in any game I've ever played. Blowing someone apart with a shotugn. Sniping someones head into chunks. It's all music to my ears.

Resistance 1 was pretty much a mess online. I'm sure number 2 will improve alot but it'll still seem like a mediocre fragfest compared to Gears I think.

To be honest I found the campaign in Resistance far more enjoyable than the campaign in Gears simply because it was 3X longer. Since it looks like its shaping up to look like a repeat of that situation i'll probably enjoy Resistance 2 more. However, Gears 2 will probably score higher with critics. Some things that could cause an upset:

Critics wont excuse the lack of story in Gears this time around

Campaign is just as short, if not shorter, than the first

They don't see enough improvements in Gears 2

Thats my take on the critic prediction.

do you think anyone will stay with theyre squad most people dont have mics and when they do alls they talk about is anything but the game.in Gears 2 you actually have a reason to stay alive you dont respawn every 5 seconds unless your playing anex or guardian the kills are more satisfying rather then just shooting someone till they cant move you can actually run up to them and do a violent execution.and the story looks alot better then the first one more charcters and backstories.

I think that Gears of War 2 will be liked more by the critics and maybe outsell Resistance 2, but I would still prefer Resistance because I liked the story mode better than Gears of War.

gears multiplayer is way overrated. an actual reason to stay alive? god what doesnt have that. and yes ppl will stay in those squads to complete their objectives because thats the only way to earn points. and honestly, please tell who online with mics talks with other ppl(not just with their friends) about strategy. nobody.

and i dunno, socom is coming out around the same time too, and there is a bundle with a mic in it, and since that is a really popular game with a huge fanbase, a lot of ppl who get the bundle will be able to use those

They were both great?

No doubt both games will be well recieved, GeOW2 may get better reviews but I believe Resistance 2 will be more robust interms of singleplayer and multiplayer

meh, i though both gears1 and rfom1 were both very average games. both 2s look decent but i don't give a damn about either one personally. i'd take farcry2 over those anyday...ninjaxams
