The Witcher 2 Leaked Online

CD Projekt's highly anticipated RPG The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is not due a release until May 17th. Despite the developers efforts to keep the game from pirates, the full game has been leaked online. However, those downloading the game are being shunned by gamers for disrespecting the company's generosity to PC gamers.

That's too bad. Are people really that poor to buy the game for 45 off Steam? You can get it for 33ish on D2D right now too.

Well that sucks. This another reason to go digital only tbh.

Like Valve and Blizzard games, this is just something you just don't pirate. Its sad that games like this get leaked. Hopefully not pirated too much. Even on the torrent page there is a huge proportion of people telling not to pirate it.

CDProject is an amazing dev team that deserves the sales.

After the initial sales of 'The Witcher',they used the money to make the enhaned edition patch(Which can be downloaded for FREE).There are barely any devs that are this honest.The pirate who leaked this has no conscience.

Console games get leaked more often, but for some reason never get the same amount of news articles or threads.

Story is BS, yes the game is on torrent sites but you cannot play it because there is no exe. Also, lets not forget that the retail version also has basic SecuROM that prevents you from playing before the release. So pirates will somehow have to get a working exe and they will also have to crack the drm. The game wont be playable by pirates before May 17.

What he said. Was the video not a trailer released long ago? Its also Russian only, and currently not cracked. So yes it was leaked early, but you can't play it. Unlike console games which always get leaked early and first, those require no cracking.

This makes me rage. A great PC developer getting shafted after giving the PC gamers more than what other developers have. Damn pirates. Please don't turn into Crytek!

Damn. It's a shame that it was leaked, let alone this early. I really hope this game sells well like the first one did. The developers put so much effort into it and it looks like a truly amazing game.

Of course its leaked. Its just not playable/cracked. Being leaked doesn't mean anything if it isn't cracked.

That kind of stuff just encourages me more to buy the game.... Poor CD Projekt, let's hope they don't lose a lot of sales because of it, they are these type of companies that really deserves my moneywarishuku

Agreed. Plus they will release the game without any copyprotection on GoG anyway, so it was obvious that it was easy to pirate. I truly hope that the PC gaming crowd shows enough support for the game to prove that the PC market is still worth producing for.
