Yes they have tried it and it looks about the same as the PC version.[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"][QUOTE="tenaka2"] Saolin is that you? The game hasn't run on consoles at all because it hasn't even be tried yet.KingsMessenger

They put parts of the game on consoles, to make sure they aren't overdoing it, wouldn't want to compromise the console version. Later the developer said it looks about the same on consoles. It happens with multi-plat engines.[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"][QUOTE="-Unreal-"]That looks better but it's not a graphical powerhouse.Looks better than Two Worlds 2 to me. Not sure if anyone else agrees.That video is really bad quality. Anyway I can't understand why people don't think those are in-game screens using the game engine. They are really good looking graphics but they're nothing that would make me think they are fake.
Here's a video that shows some nice graphics:

Here's a cutscene using the game engine:

Well after you've seen the videos I posted, I don't understand why you would think the images are doctored. It's not like they are graphics that would be out of reach either, or require insane systems to render in real time. They are very very good graphics but I'm positive they're real time renderings from the game engine.

Also, their engine is designed to be multiplatform, but that doesn't just making porting a magical button press. This engine is NOT CE3 or id Tech 5...

[QUOTE="Riverwolf007"]It doesnt look that good, its an obviou step up, but still in the same gen.well in the end it depends on when the next gen consoles come out but my guess is that the next gen games will look like a pc game from a year before the console comes out.for the last year or so i have considered witcher 2 as a preview of what next gen console games may look like.
dakan45
if the nextbox releases in 2012 my guess would be it will look a lot like witcher 2 run on max settings.

Ok.... lets just take a look at the link YOU provided...
"Of course, what I say can't be too official, but from the tests that we've done so far it's possible to do a game that looks as good as what you've seen on trailers, and it works on consoles smoothly."
...
"It's doable to make a game that won't be crap," he said.
Tomasz Gop
They haven't done it yet.
You are wrong.
Even devs admit console games are crap, by deductive reasoning he is basically saying "console games are crap, but we THINK we can make a non-crap one, its doable"
[but unlikely]
haberman13
I think he's referring to The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf which was canned because CD Projekt thought it was crap.
Makes consoles look like there from the 90's...
Looks so good. Shame I have to get this on PC. I like consoles plug and play concept... But not the horrible graphics they have now a day.
Head = Implode ExESGO
Why implode? Normally it would EXPLODE from being filled with too much awesomeness. Unless if was filled so quickly that they awesomeness created a black hole. But in that case you should have said
Head = Spaghettify
[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"][QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]GeneralShowzer why are you such a hater? If you never read they designed the game to be console friendly, would you still be hating this much? You keep saying the game doesn't look "THAT" good. Which implies it looks good. Compared to what I've seen from the PC games out now no other RPG comes close to looking "THAT" good. Enjoy games, not the platform.i5750at4GhzMaybe I don't like console UI in best selling PC RPG's ? They obviously didn't went in trying to create the best PC game possible. Don't like it mod it. I could see if the changes were gamebreaking like most of the changes to FEAR or Far Cry. But what you're complaing about is nitpicking at best. PC exclusives have used this same exact type of UI.
As long as 150 pt fonts aren't used in a giant scrolling menu I'm OK with it. The radial wheel is a little dopey, but livable.

I'm with the General, only in that consoles ruin games, so we the PC gamers need to standup and say "no, we will not accept dumbing every game down"
Hard to enjoy games when a platform keeps destroying another platform. Lolsoles need to go, along with their "style" of gaming which I would equate to reality TV.
How do we accomplish this? Stop pirating games you pirates, and rip apart console design for what it is, publically and on game specific forums.
The vast majority of gamers have no issue with console design. Yet your asking for its complete removal? Typical elitist PC attitude.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]GeneralShowzer why are you such a hater? The steam yearly sales charts were dominated by call of duty the most consolized game of all time. And we now know that steam is 50-70% of all total sales on PC. The most popular game of the most popular genre on PC sold? Shocking. I would love to see console RPG's like Fable III will sell on PC though.

It's not a case of better or worse. You implied in your post that PC gamers find shallow action oriented games less appealing. "Flashy looking games that can be completed in an afternoon with no challenge seem to sell well on console." I simply pointed out that these same games sell well on PC as well.
Maybe, but as a percentage of game-type consoles tend to lean towards his description; where on PC you have 12 million people playing the math simulator that is WoW.
That wouldn't happen on the consoles, the gameplay takes too much understanding of mechanics, which doesn't appeal to the console market which tends to focus on fast action/light depth.
Sure, those games sell on PC, but they don't define the market; I would say the console market is defined by that description.
Hence the anti-console crowd, we see the implication of a dev making a console port - it means the PC version is going to be "lightened up".
Damn consoles, you've ruined another one! :roll:

They have even more of these in-game shots, it looks absolutely fantastic, Two Worlds 2 doesn't look HALF this good. (technically it may, but artistically its horrid ugly trash)

Are you kiding me. I play WoW heavily. And it's dominated by console owners/lovers. WoW is one of the most casual friendly games on PC.Funny Pics in that thread:P
