So Scalebound ended up being a little bit different to what I expected. I did indeed expect the fast paced combo based combat with some light RPG elements. That said, I liked what I saw. The combat looks great none the less while more grounded and less flashy. The whole dragon command aspect is cool as **** and makes for some awesome potential gameplay segments. And is this open world? Horizon Zero Dawn has some competition. Will be must have for Xbox One owners.
Quantum Break looked quite good, the time mechanics look nice and slick and the shooting looks fine. I like the whole time machine aspect of it where scientists fucked up space/time with a contraption, like a Philadelphia Experiment sort of thing, good stuff. Would play.
Then there's Crackdown 3. Didn't like the first game nor did I have any desire to finish it. This looks like the same thing with better destruction... I'd frankly rather have Just Cause 3 because I can airjack jetplanes and surf on missiles, 'nuff said.
Rise Of The Tomb Raider has the whole Last Of Us/Uncharted vibe going on. Looks to be well implamented too. The kill animations are annoying though because it initiates a cutscene and a camera pan every time you stealth kill someone. I'd like individual timed melee hits like TLOU has much more. And like I expected, the stealth looked cool as hell, but when things started heating up it became boring as **** poor mans Uncharted. Where on the contrary, Uncharted 4's stealth looked lite, but the shootouts, perticularly in the PSX demo looked vertical and open ended.
Overall, as I hoped and expected, MS cleaned up and they finally have truly great looking games coming to their new platform, finally! I'm happy they pulled it off.
