Uncharted 2 WON'T get a 10 on Gamespot...

If it does, then I shall leave these forums and never return.

Seriously, I'm not saying it won't be a good game. It will be. Hell, it's on the the top of my Most Anticipated List right now. But my problem is with the fanboys who make it out to be like the second coming of Christ. Thos people who seriously believe that Uncharted 2 is the Next Big Thing in gaming. Come on, people, wake up, get real. Uncharted 2 is an evolution, not a revolution. It refines and smoothes out age old concepts, but it does ABSOLUTELY nothing to warrant a 10.

I still think it'll get a 9.0- 9.5. I have no doubt that it'll be a great game, possibly one of the highlights of this generation. However, this is just a reminder for those blinded by their fanboyism that Uncharted 2 really does not, and will not ever, deserve a 10.

The thing that's bugging me about the immense hype surrounding this game is: the original Uncharted only got an 8.0 here. Is the addition of multiplayer and a couple of tweaks to the formula really going to improve the sequel THAT much? I somehow doubt it.

Oh, so you were exaggerating. My bad, I do that a lot too. In the hype threads I usually see the same 2-3 well known PS3 fanboys hyping 10, everyone else says 9. So was this thread just made for the sake of a very small handful of fanboys? The majority of posters here still say 9-9.5.

i dunno what all the hype is about. this game really doesn't catch my interest and i love shooter/adventure games. maybe i just gotta play the first? i don't really get hyped about super hyped games like mgs4 or gta4. i got gta4, it was fun, i'd give it an 8 but it's not my type of game really. mgs4 i haven't tried yet which stuns me cause i loved the other ones.

U 2 looks to kick ass in both areas though. It's not going to happen but I think it would be more deserving of the score than GTA 4 was.Floppy_Jim

I never referred to the subtitle. I was talking about what a game NEEDS TO BE. Ocarina was perfect when it was released. So it got its rating. But after that, by and large, GS have largely botched up their rating system, except for maybe Soul Calibur.charizard1605

why does it matter anyway... Does it make you a lot more successful in life if it does or does not score a 10? Well... while the graphic looks great, I'm still not sold on the main character, he just looks so plain and blah, not even memorable. I'm def not getting a PS3 for this game... however, I might get a PS3 when God of War comes out, now THAT is a game with some good main character imo.Bear_in_Action
