Wait... are you guys serious.... (PS3 installation)

Im taking a guess and saying more than half of 360 exclusive owners haven't even tried a ps3(or at least in the later days) so let them have their ignorance

But Blu-ray can hold sooo much content....

Now it seems the latest trend in PS3 bashing is trying to act like installation is a bad thing? You honestly don't think if MS had a standard HDD, devs wouldn't be doing the same thing for the 360?

It seems a lot of this flack comes from the 360 camp, trying despirately to reach at straws to control the damage that hasn't even happened yet (and for all we know ... won't.)

But seriously? The fact that a small portion of games gets installed to the harddrive to decrease loading times? is that horrible? I was unaware this was a bad thing. Or maybe it really isn't, and you're just blowing it way out of proportion because you can't stand to even concieve the PS3 doing well in sales...

Are the PS3's loading times for DMC4 shorter or longer than the 360 version's loading times?

If they are significantly shorter, then it stands to reason that, yes, they would've done this on the 360.

If they are longer, the same, or just slightly shorter, then there's no reason why they would bother with installing on the 360 unless the PS3 version for some reason needed the installation for the load times to be bearable.

Also, 20 minutes is WAAAAAAY too long. PC installation times are MUCH shorter, even if they take up 10-15GB like Supreme Commander.

If it is just to help the PS3's loading time, yet they are still not significantly shorter than the 360's, then it means that the devs would not have done this on the 360. Isn't that what you were asking in your first post?

And yes, it's a bad thing. Consoles are about quick satisfaction. 20 minutes is too long even for PC gamers, for whom even the biggest games install in 7-10 minutes, 15 at most.

Consoles should really never have to have their games isntalled anyway, imo.Erebyssial

you make a good point..sony really wants you to dish out its original starting price by any mean possible..now its 499 for an 80gb and 399 for the 40gb..i may be wrong on the prices but i know they keep switching crap up that will eventually lead to you buying more crap for their system..

THe only people that complain about this are 360fans simple as that, ps3 fans should be happy, it cut the load times by alot with DMC4 and made it much more enjoyable as there are a lot of loading times in DMC4 so the shorter the better!!!

This is just **** 360 fans trying to convince themselves it's a bad thing because of the whole devil may cry 4 is better on ps3 because of this.

I don't own a ps3 and don't plan on owning a ps3 but I really don't see it being that big of an issue. Seriusly if you can't wait twenty minutes for a game to install then you have issues.
