Implying it costs a $1000 to play this.

not just pc gamers. although there is plenty of positives coming from those who have a pc. either way, ps4 looks to be amazing!

Deep down inside, I think most hermits feel jelly.Â
Here comes a next gen console way cheaper than their current rig outputting almost similar graphics.Â
That will actually have AAA games built ground up for the platform instead of 360-esque ports with higher resolution/framerate and tacked on DX11 features.Deep down inside, I think most hermits feel jelly.Â

These are people that know nothing about hardware yet constantly hype it up and all for a machine that does not even exist yet

It's true that some hermits do buy their PCs to play console ports with better graphics.Â
Some of us don't really care though. There are hundreds of PC titles not available elsewhere, and I'll spend the money necessary to play them because I think they're worth it.
It basicly is around gtx 580 in power. Helps a lot with system optimization and games being played at 30 frames. Its more powerful than the pc guys expected it to be. One guy said the max gpu that will be in there is a 100w one. Ps4 has a gpu in between an 7850 and 7970, thats more than 130w for a gpu.Â
I guess techically the Ps4 would be outputting visuals of a gtx 680 since it will be at 30 frames and pc guys like to play at 60 frames.Â
They might hate that the Ps4 is this powerful because visuals are the reason they bought a gaming pc in the first place.Â
Now some kid will come over to their house and say they cant tell a difference, then the guy with the gaming pc is left poker faced. But I spent $500 on this card.Â

See? In a way, he's correct. I'd be lirious if I payed a close to a 4 digit number for a brand spanking new rig...only to have the major release either be absent from PC or a horrible port job. If you find the right games for you, that are not a sloppy console port, do not have some kind of DRM in it or do not have strange driver issues...you're golden.[QUOTE="heretrix"]

Mods and higher resolutions than 1080p (I'm use 2560 X 1440) with framerates above 60 FPS. I also am not forced into 5+ year hardware cycles; when I feel there is a need to upgrade my rig, I can do it (or not). As for the DRM, it's unfortunate but the best thing about it is, for every company like EA that feels the need to use it, there are many other developers out there that refuse to use draconian DRM because they are greedy aholes.
I spent a pretty decent amount of cash (well over 1000) on my rig and don't regret it at all. It has the flexiblity that consoles will probably never have. To me that is worth every penny I spent.
Nobody hates the ps4 just the ps4 fanboys talking about the powah of ddr5 :lol:Is it because they expected it to be less powerful? I see no other reason.

Use 7850 2gb as base line for PS4, and the engineering sample in these charts for next xbox gpu performance.
