I'll give you a problem with what's wrong with SJW crap forced into a game. Take Assassin's Creed Origins. *SPOILERS AHEAD* Now, overall, its a great game. I have no problem with games that have strong female characters. And Aya is definitely tough, smart, self-reliant, everything feminists would want in a character. And I certainly don't mind parts of a game where you play as this supporting character to mix it up and develop their story a little better. But that's just it - supporting character. Not lead, not focus. At the end of the game, suddenly SHE takes front and center, SHE takes the ultimate revenge for her and Bayek's child, which is of course means SHE makes the biggest assassination of the game at the end. Then SHE takes charge of starting the Assassins, SHE breaks the fourth wall and looks at the camera, tells us her new name, and she just becomes the most important figure of the game - at the very end. Huh? I just played hours upon hours as Bayek, journeyed with him all over Egypt, felt the pain of his loss over his son every step of the way, pulled off insane feats, really bonded with this character, and the end of the game is going to focus on the supporting female like he's nobody? To me, the devs chickened out of making this game all about yet another dude, lest they face the feminists' wrath. This seemed to be the compromise, the appeasement, and its beyond forced.
Imagine if it were Tomb Raider. You just played the entire game as Lara Croft, then suddenly at the end of the game, the supporting male character takes front and center of the story's resolution, and he looks at the camera and says, "I'm Dan Smith. Tomb Raider. And this has been my story." And then the credits roll. Oh the uproar.
