Why do Gamers whine so much about progressive themes on games?

I love how you keep only quoting small parts of my posts and completely ignoring the rest. I guess you are not going to try to answer my question about what other reasons that you can come up with for the developers making the female characters uglier than the models that they were based off of but not doing the same for the male characters nor addressing any other parts of the previous examples that I made which you ignored.

They picked people who identified (self proclaimed, the major failing of the "study") as liberals or conservatives, then had them look at images, and made assumptions on how they felt. All in all, sounds like a garbage study. Also, having read suggest articles from that link, most of that site is opinion based, with little to no scientific citation or backing (check the Five Traits of a Trump Supporter). You should stop linking this as gospel (I've seen you link it in other post), it does a disservice to the points you are trying to make (but maybe you are in an echo chamber and can't see that).

If the male models were just as bad as the female models then I would agree, but that's not the case. The male models still look good and very accurate to the real life male models that they were based off of. Do you think that the developers are capable of making good male models but somehow not also capable of making good female models? That sounds much more far fetched to me especially given all of the other SJW stuff that Bioware has done.

Since most game writing is pretty bad, this is the area of quality where just about all of their progressive ideas fall.

Surely if the game had a feminist message they wouldn't want to sabotage it, they would want it to sell well so more people will see their message. The progressive writing usually is not injected into very violent games though, and even if you think a game having guns is sending a message that guns are cool, if anything that just makes injection of progressive ideals that much dumber.

Based on the photos he presented, I'd say Ryder looks closer to her reference model than Morrigan did. Bioware has never really been good at this.
