Please tell me. Why pay for an online service when there are two others for free. Ps3's online might not be as good as XBL but you wont need to pay additional money and there is no browser. You also have to wait till a game comes out to play the demo. So tell me, what makes XBL so much better?

Because it's a premium you're forced to pay to play games online with the Xbox 360, which many people wish to do, why else? Though I don't pay for it anymore so I don't really count. It's certainly a gyp, but you don't need to ask why people pay for it when it' clearly obvious.

I dont pay for Xbox Live simply because everytime I go to drop that $50 for Live I end up buying a game or two with it. Live is great, but gritting your teeth and paying that fee is a real pain.

My thoughts exactly. No need to pay for online when you can do it on other systems for FREE, and almost the same quality(just less features, which don't prove to be significant). I'm kind of price conscious. If I don't have to pay, I won't.

It's the best service IMO and never seems to bother me to pay around $3 a month (if paying for 13 month card which I do) to do so.

Yes it is actually. People buy the service to play their Xbox online. We'll call that black (Because I'm bias that way.). Now other people might say "No way, I'm not paying for that!" That would be white. Two possible options, black or white, though it's more or less just two options. The reason people buy Xbox Live is because they want to play games online, and having only a 360 to do this Live would be the only option, whether they think it's a gyp or not. There's really nothing complicated to it. All you're saying is "Why do you pay for live, are you stupid?" which is completely unfair and ridiculous.

Thats redonkulous. I respect your wish to pay for a service found on other systems but these same games on Xbox 360 can be played on the PC for free.

Yeah, that's really annoying. It's more or less 30-40 pound a year, which is 30-40 pound in one payment at one time meaning it costs that much. You can say 1,000 squid a year isn't alot because it's only around 3 a day, but at the end of the year it's still 1000 squid. You don't pay in days, you pay in years.

Xbox Live is a lot of unnecessary filler. All you need is to be able to play games online and voice chat. Anything more than that is unnecessary filler.

becuse Xbox is teh bust systum i evar playd and Sony GayStation doezn't evne have games all you can do is watch movies adn theres no HDMI on Sony plus its $599 and it doeznt do 'tru' 3D like Xbox cuz Xbox only has Gears of War were Sony only has pony riding adventure 17 who wants to play that i don't i know that if u buy Sony ur only gonna cry and wish u had a real video game cunsole like teh 360 Bill Gatez knows how to make a consle Sony shuld stick to music unless u want a paperweight that has no HDMI games or even a controller cuz u have to buy it seprately i rather play Wii than Sony cuz at lest theres Mario Sony shld just give up.

But on a serious note, i pay because I own a 360 and not a PlayStation 3.... its pretty obvious :)

Do me favour a send a message to your friend asking him to join a game. "Join me" will do it. See how hard that is? It's really a moot point. Slight inconvience with a huge saving of money.

Ditto. For the pice of one game a year, I extract much more fun and entertainment or much longer than most full retail games. Does that mean I wouldn't like it free? No. But to play my favorite games online, MS wants $. And 50 a year is nothing.

Because in 27:|

and paying for LIVE is no different from paying for any other service. Think of it as paying for cable.......sure regular TV is free.......but cable offers more, and is well worth the money :P
