Why is bashing the Wii U cool to you people?

Well Nintendo is known for making "kiddy games", and people generally don't like to be seen praising those games because it would make them seem like little kids. So everybody bashes Nintendo and praises games with guns, gore, bad language, etc to try to prove to everyone else on the internet that they are older than they actually are.

That is a easy $600 right there i am spending on Wii U from now till the end of the year. I had a Xbox One on pre-order but cancelled it because the Wii u games are far more important to me.

the 3DS had terrible launch titles and weaker hardware then the Vita, everybody on this board was like **** 3DS its McWeaksauce VITA is the way to go, well looks like technical specs don't matter because the 3DS has WAY more games and way more sales. Once Wii U gets Super Smash Bros + Mario Kart Wii U and Zelda it will blast to the top just like the 3DS did...

 

Wii U has unique games that atleast update each franchise, You say that REHASH everything? No thats Call of Duty every year on your precious sony console...BTW the nintendo franchises only come out once every console cycle. 

 

Only EXTREME neckbearded nerds argue about irrelevant system specs that don't matter, MOST CONSUMERS don't go well this one has 1.8 teraflops and this one has 1.9 teraflops bro, which one? I'm sorry, but not everybody is as nerdy as the general populance of these boards..its like a bad episode of the Big Bang Theory...

So lets have a little respect for the Wii U owners and the people who actually LIKE that nintendo is doing, some people don't want a new Gears of War game every few months and like the bright colorful art style and fun that nintendo brings to the table ;)

They are. SW always goes after Nintendo. SW is mostly a bunch of kids crying (yes if you are under 18 you are still a kid) about Nintendo being Kiddy. They cry about dem graphics (I play 8 bit games that are still fun so this I never really understood). They complain about games with color becuase color is only for kids. Bro.....color....WUT. But at the end of the day it comes down to one thing. Most can only afford one system. This makes most feel the need to bash all besides the choice that they can get.

I get. If I could only afford one system there is no way in hell that it would be a Wii U (It would be a Ps4 at this point).

People that are over 30 years old and have a career, no longer have to bash systems, being that we can buy whatever we want. At that point just sit back and enjoy all the good games. System becomes irrelevant.

Because Nintendo got cocky and thought they could get away with selling us another gimic based on shitty hardware.

It's pretty obvious nintendo focused on the 3DS while it was originally flailing, you could tell that how all the games were coming for it.  Now with the 3DS in good standing, they will revert their attention to the Wii U.  It will take a while, but Nintendo always delivers with the games.  Maybe not, death killing field games with blood and gore everywhere, but happy diversions from life with great tight controls and bright colours.  Their games make me, I dunno, happy?  And for someone who's dealt with depression his whole life, that's something. 

That said, I've got a PC (I do enjoy the "HARDCORE" games as well) and a Wii U.  That covers the main bases well.

I'll stick to companies like Nintendo, Rocksteady, and Platinum games that I feel still understand what gaming's all about and you stick to whatever it is you like.

There is a point to the bashing. The Wii U is a mess of console with no ideal customers. Nintendo does not understand who wants to buy the Wii U. The Wii was different as it brought in casuals like crazy, but this time, I seriously have no idea what the appeal of the Wii U is.

No bashing, truth. Nintendo needs to do a better job at selling their product.  I have NO reason to buy a wiiU over .. say.. a Ps4.  Which is 50 dollars more and comes with 500 GB of space.. has much better specs... and is gauranteed third party support.  Nintendo needs to get over it and lower that damn thing to 200 dollars.  give it AT LEAST 128 GB hdd space.  Then i'd be down to buy one.

The WiiU specs are not slightly inferior to the xbox one and ps4.It's actually a lot weaker than those consoles, but it's stronger than the current gen consoles.

It's an over-priced current-gen console released in 2012 with no compelling exclusives until 2014, I don't see why you wouldn't bash it
