on a MC, BSI is a 94 and MML an 82...never post again. They both scored 9, never post again.

guess gaming will always be second fiddle to books and movies with that logic...so I guess Ebert was right after all. And by your logic, people like Call of Duty even more.....how do you like that logic?

and you are the one comparing MML to Call of Duty....like an insane child. Tell me again, does CoD allow you into stealth, to kill no humans but the last boss unit? It's designed like CoD. It's not 100%, but it feels like a really good CoD campaign. It takes a genius like you to take that as an insult.
Also, people do like Call of Duty more than BioShock and Metro. That's both GoYoshi's logic AND a factual statement based on sales. Why are you so butthurt over this game not being as well received? You're allowed to enjoy whatever you want. I love Vanquish more than Gears of War, I don't piss and moan about how Gears is more popular. You're just being a whiny b*tch over the opinions of others and trying to act like it's a bad thing.

While I don't agree that its like a CoD game I can see why people wouldn't like it. The game has a few problems and its too long. I think Im towards the end and the gameplay is getting really tedious. Im just running past most of the levels right now and the story is quickly falling apart. Its still a good game but its not for everyone.[QUOTE="NeonNinja"][QUOTE="texasgoldrush"] and you are the one comparing MML to Call of Duty....like an insane child. Fine, it's a tie. But seriously, at least the original BioShock somewhat excuses the shitty gunplay by having things like hacking, turrets, and just being a more open game overall.[QUOTE="NeonNinja"][QUOTE="ShoulderOfOrion"] no it's bioshockShoulderOfOrion

BioShock would have had a great plot too, had they ended it at a high note. Instead they kept going and going. Just derailed the game and ruined the impact of the twist. Infinite at least knew how to end. BioShock just sputtered along with more content for hours after it should have ended.

Yeah, Bioshock was one of those games that didn't know how to leave good enough alone, and just became too complacent in the knowledge of its own cleverness. To be absolutely fair, Metro doesn't exactly have a whole lot of hype behind it.For those saying hype is one of the main attractions for why BioShock Infinte is so loved; humor me this: Couldn't the same thing be said about Metro: Last Light?

In what way? Both got 9/10s, both are getting extreme amounts of praise all around, both have been praised for their campaign and story, both are considered the best FPS so far of 2013, both have a good amount of advertisements across the board, I think it's safe to say there is a good amount of hype behind Metro.

I mean mainstream hype and recognition. Bioshock is almost universally considered among the best games of the generation. Can you say the same for Metro?no it's bioshock[QUOTE="ShoulderOfOrion"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] That would be Halo 3/Uncharted 2/Xenblade Chronicles.NeonNinja

Its much better than Infinite, that's for damn sure. Far more consistent in its writing and I had more options in the gameplay. Hell you can play stealth with a Wrench Lurker tonic (or Drill Lurker in Bioshock 2). And in BS2, I can use a tonic to play a "mage". Its gameplay wasn't great overall, and its not as legendary as System Shock 2 but it was good enough. Good enough to respect my choices of style of play.[QUOTE="Goyoshi12"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] To be absolutely fair, Metro doesn't exactly have a whole lot of hype behind it.charizard1605

Not on full alert they don't, especially when they see you. When they see you, they will take to you down on Ranger Hardcore. Notice that there are four levels of alertness....normal, suspicious, alarmed, open combat. Of course they are open to getting shot unless they are in open combat.texasgoldrushYes, they do. They don't offer any challenge at all. And those "levels of alertness" are ridiculous, because I sure as shit didn't see them. There were two levels: 1. Standing around with a "knock-me-out" sign on their back. 2. Run around like a headless chicken. I haven't played Ranger Mode Hardcore. I actually lol at this argument. "The game actually works on the highest mode of the highest difficulty", which I seriously doubt.

"The game actually works on the highest mode of the highest difficulty", which I seriously doubt. You really don't get it. This game allows you to stealth kill from the front, you are allowed a split second, after they see you, to make a kill. There is nothing wrong with this. Most games don't allow this, they make you always arbitrary kill from behind. And yes, you don't see them because you don't get it....there are four modes. 1. They don't see you, and they go about their business. 2. They are suspicious and may want to investigate...happens when you shoot out a light next to them or something. 3. Alerted.....they see one of their guys dead or they see you plainly...they look vigorously for you permanently...unlike most stealth games, they never revert back to their normal pattern. 4. Full combat. If you really want no challenge, play Bioshock Infinite...pot calling the kettle black.
because it is overrated and far from brilliant. How brilliant is it when its just, not only being a repetitive gallery shooter, tears up its narrative because of it. Examples being the Hall of Heroes and the Fink job application shootout at the Good Times Club...those parts were pure stupid from a game design aspect. And the Shantytown section...wow, pure stupid. Want the upgrade, shoot the guard, its your only option. Want to give money to the beggars outside the bar, you can't...Gotta shoot them. What brilliance is it when I can shoot a mom and dad in front of her kids with Liz, and she says absolutely nothing about it? Or the plot holes? Or that they treat its themes with kids gloves...or the handwaving of deus ex machina with arbitrary concepts. Or the fact that we were shown something more at E3 and they through development hell, cut down the game. Why compare them? Because Metro Last Light is the game Bioshock Infinite should have been....a smart shooter that allows choice, and smartly deals with mature human themes in a manner that transcends most games instead of handwaving them.Infinite is not overrated. It's a brilliant game. Metro also looks great, i'll pick it in a few days. Why compare them, anyway?

Dude, i beat it twice and simply loved every second of it. The lore, the gameplay, the story, the level of polish, the art direction, the technical graphics, the sound, the characters...so i obviously disagree. Sure, it's not perfect, it's too easy (even on hard) and it does have some plot holes, but it's easily one of the best games i played this gen.
I'm hyped for Metro Last Night, and waiting it to come out in my country, but if it is (like you say) anything like Bioshock Infinite, then i can't fu***n wait :P
