Why people choose consoles over gaming PCs.

People with extreme gaming PCs seem to think they are getting a better deal and gaming experience than console gamers and dont seem to understand why people by consoles.

i buy gaming consoles because not only are they sooOOO much cheaper, but in a years time when your gaming PCs all dusty and struggling to play the new PC games even with your new $150 graphics card my console can still play the newest games. Has anyone got a PC that is as old as a ps2 that you havent spent **** loads upgrading? i think not.your the ones being ripped off.

Maybe because he only likes MMO and RTS games.  

Some of us have been out of school for a decade or more, and have these things called jobs. When you have a job, you have this thing called money. There's not one game that interests me on the consoles....not one. It's not a matter of getting ripped off, it's a matter of getting what I want. I don't care if fishing is cheaper than flying, I hate fishing and love flying. I don't want to fish so I won't. Likewise, I'm simply not interested in the games a console has, so I won't buy one. Simple as that. Until you can give me flight sims (emphasis on Sim), a plethora of 4x games, and gorgnard games, then it's a moot point: consoles don't interest me. Why spend ANY money on something that doesn't interest me? That's called 'Getting ripped off'.br0kenrabbit

I dont quite understand how you got a job with that kinda attitude, i sure wouldnt employ you! so, does it make you feel like more of a grown-up playing games on a PC? its exactly the same thing.

IL2: Sturmovik Forgotten Battles Rome/Medieval2 Total War Civilization III/IV and Alpha Centauri Supreme Commander Warcraft 3 Galactic Civilizations Silent Hunter IV Flight Sim X Neverwinter Nights 2 Company of Heroes And so on...now tell me...how many of those have console versions or games like them on the consoles? Consoles are a different playground, and I'm not interested. I'm 31, I don't like ninjas, cars, anime babes, anime AT ALL, choose-your-own-adventure JRPGs, fighting games or sports. thats the diffrence from PC gamers and console kids.

the majority of PC gamers are adults with JOBS, who have no problem spending thousands a year just upgrading. i spend like 3k a year upgrading, just to get better graphics and extra frame rates.

where the console kids get money from thier parents or on some day like thier b-day or xmas, they add it all up and buy a 480$ xflop, and thats what they keep for the next 5 years... they keep outdated hardware 

How are consoles cheaper? I could get a $50 PC and play games like Dues Ex, Diablo II, StarCraft, Thief and Fallout and have a much better experience than most games coming out today.
How are they soooooo much cheaper? Buy an HDTV for your 360 or PS3 yet? A well built PC with minimal upgrades should last anywhere from 2-6 years.
PC hardware is always improving, this is fact. Consoles never improve (the same unit, new "versions" are released), their hardware always stays the same, this is fact.

The fact that PC hardware is improving just makes it even harder to find a cheaper PC that will last, i've had mine 4 years and it cost £650, i won't even try and play new games on it.

I haven't upgraded my GPU in 2 years, yet it still runs all games on high settings.......

Ill tell you why people choose consoles over PC:

1) They games dont appeal to them.

2) They cant afford it (however, anyone that can buy either a PS3 or a 360 can afford to be a PC gamer)

3) They are ignorant.

There are no other reasons beyond that. Most, sadly, fall into #3.

That's because what most console gamers say reflect their age. Terms like "lemmings" or "cows" really show how mature some of you are. Good job, you worked your ass. Doing what? I'm an old PC gamer, and I can say the majority of the PC gaming community are much older and mature then console gamers.

People dont choose consoles over gaming pcs.

All my friends play on pcs and I think you will find that a hell of lot more people play pc online than consoles as well.
