for one, you can make an avatar of yourself and no, its not as cute as Mii, but it looks way cooler.  XBL lets you have custom avatars via the Vision Cam.  But being conscious of parental concerns, they are seen only by people on your friends list.

second, Home gives you a virtual apartment thingy that lets you customize your furnitures, decorations and stuffs. it also let you watch movies like you're in a real house.  XBL has a gamercard with useful bits of data like rep and gamer zone, allowing you to see a little but of how someone likes to play.  More than just cosmetic, these serve a purpose.  On top of that, this data, including achievements can be shared with everyone, both on XBL and anyone on the net.  Speaking of gamercards, they were made possible by fan sites directly supported by XBLs Community Developer program.

last but not least, you can walk outside of your house to meet different people around the world and play games with each other, go to a movie theater to see movie previews, or watch a actual movie (but you have to pay of course), and go inside a trophy room thingy that lets you show off your achievements.  Movies and TV shows are available in abundance on XBL, in both SD and HD.  The only thing Home has over XBL is that you can share the media.

My name is NeoGeo419, but that was just because I loved the Fatal Fury, Samurai Showdown arcade games. Along with KoF on ps1 and 2. Anyway point is I never was insane enough to buy a NEO GEO. $600 for a console is insane. I had to cry holding out my debit card to buy my 360 at $400. Check my about me if you think I'm a fanboy. That video mentioned nothing about what the XBL gamercard does... but how could it? The video was all music and no narration.... and no real information.

Note also how it totally misrepresented PSN trophies by showing the space of a developer, which really has little to nothing to do with trophies. And what does the movie theatre have to do with trophies. (btw, the video erroneously calls them achievements) It showed a camera rotating around the avatar. Where's the real information in that? Or did the video creator run out of steam and needed some filler.

That video is a prime example of smoke n mirrors... something the Sony fanboys are so used to and easily taken by.

Even with that video, XBL, feature for feature, outdoes PSN with Home.

HOME, if it's moderately successful, is gonna cost a crap load of money to operate and maintain.

Sony's game division as of right now is losing $500 billion every quarter.

How is Sony gonna pay for all of this?

Xbox Live is.  Home is a bland, awkward attempt at copying xbox live.  The only high point to it is that its free.  Home feels like and expanded version of the crib in ESPN NFL Football.  Nothing more.

if its simply charging you to go online to play, then i'll call it a rip-off.

but if they charge you stuffs like better furniture, better clothes, or bigger apartment, then many people can live by that.

1) XBL community modding each other, then why there are still many brats on Halo 2 multiplayer?  Are you new to the internet?  Jerks are a reality of being online.  every platform has them.  But with XBL, if you set your gamerzone and set players to avoid or prefer status, you're less likely to be paired with them.  Submitting feedback with help this even further.  I've been doing this since day one and haven't had any problems.  How is PSN Home addressing this?  You said PSN had something similar.   What is it?

2) IT CAN BE DONE with HOME!  Nintendo can do this to.  But is it?  NO.  Is it being done with Home?  Based on the video you provided, the answer:  NO

3) IT CAN BE DONE with HOME with the trophy room and such, did you even watch the video?  The actual trophy room is a good 2 seconds in that video.  Can the trophies be viewed outside of Home?  What happens if you switch your alias or account, do they follow you?

4)This has nothing to do with your respone to item one.  See my sig?  That was created by a fan site.  MS helped the developer do that.  There are other sites being helped by MS that do other cool things with gamercard info.  What's PSN Home doing that's similar?
