Wii Sports Resort review up. GS

Im almost positive 85% of SW just got owned.

And the Wii continues to kick ass. If anyone had predicted this last year they would have been laughed off the forums. Hell, I'd be laughing at them myself.

Did they change the score or something? Because last time i checked it scored an 8.0... You Wii owners are freaking out as if it scored a 9

games like this the reviewers should have to play it for at least a month and a half before they scored it. if they would have with wii sports i woulda saved 250 bucks:cry:

People on SW made this game sound doomed to fail, but it is those people that failed.

Wii Sports Resort is barely a "game." To be compared to other AA titles like Infamous and Little King's Story is an absolute joke. It's sad that even with the wii's overinflated scores the console cannot compete with the two "losing" consoles. A game like wii sport's resort scoring high up with the rest of the wii's AA's is an even bigger insult to it's library.

That definition is not very good. By that definition sex is a game, and if some sociopath likes killing bunnies it's a game (at least to him).

Which means that what defines a game is in the eye of the beholder. It's the same with sports. Some consider car racing a sport (ESPN). Not in my mind.

In my view, WSR is a great GAME. Many on SW disagree with this, and that is their right. Personally I think hitting rocks with a tennis racket is a pretty good game, but not everyone will agree with me.:P

Well I agree that Wii Sports Resort is game. I also agree that hitting rocks with a tennis racket is a game (not sure in which category to place it otherwise anyway :)). To me personally though, th latter is a more fun game than the former. ;) j/k

So the wii onslaught of AA games continues. I am actually not surprised by this, I always thought that it looked fun.

Same with GeOW1. If they would have waiting to review that game and say all the glitches and how ****** the online was that game would have scored much lower and saved me $60 and a lot of my life back.

I'll accept the AA status but that doesn't stop it from being a total joke. It's a tech demo. If the PS3 wand get's a tech demo from Sony and it scores higher than 7.5 it'd be a joke too.

Just because a game doesn't have any problems doesn't mean it should automatically score a perfect 10. Or a 9. Or an 8.

Good score but I wished it came with at least two Wii Motion Plus add-ons.

It's still a collection of minigames. Sure, the minigames are very well done, but its still a collection of minigames meant to showcase the motion plus add on.

I'm perfectly aware that this holds no ground in SW and at the end of the day I'll accept what scores are given, but it really seems to me that what would have scored a 7 on other consoles (especially on PS2 last gen) scores 8 on the Wii.

I'm perfectly aware that this holds no ground in SW and at the end of the day I'll accept what scores are given, but it really seems to me that what would have scored a 7 on other consoles (especially on PS2 last gen) scores 8 on the Wii.

I don't understand the review at all. In the video review he says that most of the games aren't too involving or good. but there are 3 or 4 really fun games. He then goes on to say that the game sucks while playing with yourself and is only relly good as a MP title. A MP title without online? Then he says the graphics are crap, like the first. Then says there's no variety in the sound. It's just enough to get the job done.

On any other system, regardless of controls, this would have scored closer to a 5 or 6. The whole video review was spent bashing the game then they hand out an 8? WTF?

see, back in our days... all mulitplayer options were offline. its ok, dont be scared... its actually MORE fun when everybody is playing together in the same room... give it a try someday
