[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"][QUOTE="Lethalhazard"] The two genres I don't like are fighting games and sports games. >_> MP3 doesn't rank up to MP1 and 2 IMO.

Lethalhazard

well it seems like you're just in this mind set where you'll pretty much hate on any game on the wii.

So not true, I already like SMG. But that's about the only game I like on it.

then you might as well sell the wii. Again... aside from SMG it seems that you won't be satisfied. You might as well just sell it now and spare us your whining seeing as you're too narrow minded to try out some of the AA games for the wii.

[QUOTE="Willy105"][QUOTE="Superzone"]I'm still not buying it. I don't play games to do stuff that I can just go outside and do.Superzone
That would be very expensive. Skydiving and such in a 5 star Resort in a tropical island. It would be cheaper and easier to do what you do in GTA.

You get my point. I play games to do stuff that I could never do in real life. To me, that's kind of the point of videogames, to escape reality. But that's not even my biggest reason for not getting the game. I'm still waiting for the next big AAA Wii title to play, since my last AAA Wii purchase was SSBB in freakin' March 2008. I realize Tiger Woods scored a 9.0, but a sports game isn't good enough for me.

March 2008? That's incredible!

I don't consider Wii Fit a game. It's using a game system to exercise, which is not playing a game.

It was one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2008, because the mainstream media far outnumbers the gaming media in both size and influence. Also, the gaming media also said it was a good game.

I have tried some of the AA games for the Wii, most of them lack depth. It's not narrow-mindedness. I have yet to see a Wii game with deep components, such as MGS4 for the PS3 or Mass Effect for the 360 and PC. You're starting to sound like a fanboy, calling me narrow-minded just because I don't like the casualize games of the Wii. If I was a fanboy, I'd hate Nintendo. But no, I love the DS.

just becasue a game doesn't have guns, blood, or isn't saturated in brown and bloom lighting doesn't mean it doesn't have any depth. I suggest checking out little king's story. That game has plenty of "depth" to it's gameplay.

And this is exactly one of those times in which the media got it wrong -- they do it a lot now, best graphics awards were nearly 99% of the time given to console games at year. Now that's very "credible".

Try LittleKingStory, Rune Factory Fronteir, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, the Final Fantasy CC WiiWare games, and others if you want that sort of thing.

I read the review.

What's the point of your quote? It doesn't improve or devalue the game.

h575309

It has enough depth to satisfy the "hardcore" gamers too. I could compare this game to CoD4 very easily. Lackluster single player, amazing multiplayer.

No. How can you compare an AAA FPS to a AA minigame game? They are nothing alike.

It's an overall comparison of the kind of entertainment both games provide.

I don't care about the "gore" and "grey" art-styles so much. But I wouldn't mind a more mature Wii game that touches on tones of more mature things, such as racism or even murder. Usually Wii games do have a lot of depth to their gameplay, but they lack things such as complicated storylines. It seems it's mostly a party console.

What do I mean? I just told you -- in 2008, console games won best graphics 99% of the time across the boards; from sites Gametrailers, SPYKE, IGN, Gamespot, Gamespy ect. The list goes on. NOT VERY CREDIBLE.

Why isn't it credible? PC games don't look good because most people don't see those cool epic graphics that PC gamers hype up. They see primitive or incomplete graphics that consoles can and do a lot better. Console games DO have better graphics.

When that award is judged from an objective stance, and not a subjective stance. That's credible. The only answer to Best Gaphics of 2008 is Crysis Warhead. Still to this very second, the best damn looking game on the market.

Yes. yes I am. GAMING is about playing games. The actual GAME part. In my house, you know what is the greatest game ever made? Wii Sports. Because it is the game people play the most for the most time. Sure, in the same library I have Star Wars: Republic Commando and World of Goo, but only I play them, the others aren't interested. Wii Sports is the better game from a gaming perspective. Sure if you want another perspective, such as how complex (in a good way) the game is, then....

So because Crysis Warhead was not awarded best graphics of 2008, you're going to say that this review is non-credible?

So you're saying a good game is a game that's basically popular? In my definition, a good game is a deep game that involves some casual elements and hardcore elements, along with high-qualtiy sound/production/(most games could use a story too)/gameplay/value. A GREAT example of this is Zelda. It's easy as heck to pick up and play, but it's dungeons and world is deep and involving. I LOVE Zelda puzzles.

[QUOTE="SMR-Venom"] So because Crysis Warhead was not awarded best graphics of 2008, you're going to say that this review is non-credible?

It was only a mere example that the media as a whole can get something wrong -- it happens, putting you hands on your ears, shouting randomly with your eyes closed won't change the fact that the media is human, and they can get it wrong sometimes.

[QUOTE="SMR-Venom"]Then what do you consider credible?Stevo_the_gamer
When that award is judged from an objective stance, and not a subjective stance. That's credible. The only answer to Best Gaphics of 2008 is Crysis Warhead. Still to this very second, the best damn looking game on the market.

Unfortunetaly, this is what most people, including me, see.

Yes.

Nah. A good game is a game that is the most playable. Zelda is not pick up and play, but once you get the hang of it, it's great.

That is so inherently flawed that I can't believe you would even state such a incredibly ludicrous statement like that. I can assure you that Wii Play -- even though very accessible, and very easy to play -- is not EVEN CLOSE TO BEING A GOOD GAME.

REAL gamers don't worry about the whole "pick up and play" deal. Veteran gamers consider good games to be ones that immerse you into the game wolrd the most, feature great sound and music, and, of course, deep and satisfying gameplay. Wii Sports contains absolutely none of that. You make a Mii, and then go to waggle city.

[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]It wasn't.

I have it, its fun, I play it from time to time like I did Wii Sports.

Stevo_the_gamer

Then perhaps you're not looking at it from a gaming perspective.

Oh no I am, its a fun game.

Of course they can, they are only human. So it is safe to take the average score of this game (From MC), which is 82. In turn, it is safe to take the average score of Wii Fit (80). You won't get any better "proof" in this human world we live in. Calling Wii Fit "crap" takes you out of the norm, just as someone would call any other AA game "crap".

Although I must say, it isn't the best technique to look at one example and call the media unreliable.

[QUOTE="enygma500"]

I don't understand the review at all. In the video review he says that most of the games aren't too involving or good. but there are 3 or 4 really fun games. He then goes on to say that the game sucks while playing with yourself and is only relly good as a MP title. A MP title without online? Then he says the graphics are crap, like the first. Then says there's no variety in the sound. It's just enough to get the job done.

On any other system, regardless of controls, this would have scored closer to a 5 or 6. The whole video review was spent bashing the game then they hand out an 8? WTF?

hakanakumono

Like I said, the wii scores an 8 for it's 7s.

This is Gamespot, not IGN.
