Windows 8 is now out

i find that my 4 year old dell with 1gb ram runs faster with windows 8 (installed preview version) than it did when it was running w7. so im definitely going to make the upgrade permanent. im even thinking about installing it on bootcamp on my macbook. but i heard that windows 8 kills macbook pro's battery.

Windows kills Macs in general, the heat is ridiculous compared to when running Mac OSX.

In other news, Microsoft is sued over their Live Tiles from a company called SurfCast, who were awarded patent 6,724,403 titled "System and Method for Simultaneous Display of Multiple Information Sources" in 2004. http://www.pcworld.com/article/2013355/microsoft-sued-over-use-of-live-tiles-in-windows.html
