Not a deal breaker…. but to not have one of the most iconic brands in automotive history not in the game is kinda weak

In the past the issue of showing damage and performance degradation has been an issue for car manufacturers in licensing to video games.

As I understand it GT5 is going to have a brutally realistic damage modelling.

If Porsche isn't there it's obviously because they couldn't get the license which isn't Polyphony's fault. The stupidity of system wars never ceases to amaze me.

Yes, and I mentioned that many times in this thread. The thing is, that is the only car I'm going to miss. It's not that big of a deal in the end.

Besides if you have followed this game for a while, you would've already known porsche was not going to be in the game. RUF is a fine substitute anyways, since it's basically a porsche made better.

9 pages of outrage and or argument over whether or not the game has Porsches or not. It'd be nice if we had a link to such claims. After the 5th page, I skimmed and still didn't see one.

I don't even really care about the game but they already have so many cars in the game already. I doubt they don't have a Porsche and if they don't, I'm sure the license will have it's light on DLC.

GT becomes a bigger joke every day. It was first announced 6 years ago. It has barely improved visually and is still having disappointments more and more as the years go on. by the time it comes out it won't even matter anymore... heck, it hardly does now.. F3 kind of destroyed the GT franchise.

I doubt you have played either of those...Oh and they never "lost" Porsche. They never had in anyways, and most people who pay attention to GT knew that porsche was probably not going to be in this one either..

The problem isn't designing the cars, the problem comes with licensing. EA has had the Porche lincese for a very long time, and is refusing to grant it to PD for a fair price, thus Porche automobiles won't be featured in the game. KukicAdo

I believe EA have held the license since NFS: Porsche Unleashed. Typically all the NFS games carry this legal notice: "Porsche, the Porsche crest, 911 and Carrera are registered trademarks of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. Licensed under certain patents."

Perhaps EA is refusing to sublicense, or perhaps the value proposition may not be deemed worthwhile to PD.

But the idea that PD are deliberately excluding Porsche cars because they're incapable of coding them, or are unwilling to, or are lazy... is frankly just dumb.

Eh i've never liked Porsche. To me Porsches have always been the car that a man gets when he makes good money, but not good enough money to buy something cool. Alot like corvettes.

Anyway why is everyone complaining about porsche when you get to drive the superior ferrari?
