Think a successively falling pricepoint on their console to burgeon sales in temporary boost increments to meet sales figures that are effective in soundbite form only is a measure of success.

The OG Xbox went through some startling and frequent price drops too, as I remember it. But that system had some really awesome games it's first two years. I'm still waiting for digital releases for Panzer Dragoon Orta, JSRF, and Shenmue 2. (and the first if you please, Sega) Wouldn't mind seeing Voodoo Vince pop up again either. But knowing our luck, Blinx HD leads the way, along with Kabuki Warriors Online. :(

Let me break down why this is bad.

The Xbox 360 sold slower than the Xbox One is at this point. The differences between the Xbox and the leader this gen are less than 1 million in both the strongest territories the 360 dominated last gen. Dominated 3 years later, over the PS3, and only last year beat the Wii in both. Xbox has never been as close to the market leader in such a short amount of time of any of the 3 systems it has had.

Type-0 is spin-off of a Jrpgs franchise, using that as an example of why the Xbox may not get many, if any, deals is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Look at Hardline winning on Xbox one in multiple places despite PS4 advertising, sames with Destiny for the last few months.

The recent trends have Xbox one games suddenly running better than the PS4 in a few areas, not that this is relevant because look at Evolve, Hardline, and Borderlands Handsome collection. Doesn't seems to matter at all.

The xbox 360 sold 10.4 million units as of December 2006,the XBO was close to selling 10 million in November both numbers were sold to retailers so basically they were spot on,worse the xbox 360 had a 5 month shortage of units when it launch the XBO didn't the xbox 360 didn't drop its price by $170 with 2 free games by its first year either,in other words relative to what the xbox one was been sold for and with free games it sold like crap and barely is keeping with the Xbox 360.

In fact the xbox one is $349 with 2 free games,and in february sold almost 20k less than what the xbox 360 sold in the same time frame in February 2007 and the 360 was $399 with no free games,this year so far the 360 is outpacing the xbox one even that it was more expensive and with no free games.

Dude the PS4 is almost 10 million units ahead of the xbox one,1 million here or less and one million in UK or less is irrelevant fact is the PS4 is winning every single place and the gap keep growing.

Beating the xbox 360 the first years isn't a hard job to do the unit had a shortage of 5 months.

MS shipped 3.9 million xbox one and sold like 3 million,compare that to the xbox 360 which was like 1 million because of lack of units.

I won't make the same mistake I did with B4X trying to divine the tea leaves this early. For all we both know, the XBone could be $200 by next holiday season with a Halo 5 bundle and all bets are off. However, I think the overall jist of my bet last year stands considering MCCs actual software sales. Halo is not the power franchise it once was. It will have to be coupled with another promotion. It's really that simple. MS can't afford to lean on Halo alone to get them through the holidays and they can't make Halo look like a weakened franchise by leaning solely on it through the holidays.

MCC got a free pass and I'm inclined to believe H5 will be much the same.

They don't show actual numbers buffoon but they show who is winning and by a considerable marging.

What? Halo is still huge to this day. Their new trailer on Youtube reached 3 million views in just 2 days. It's a big game and will make the console war very interesting at least in the US and UK.

Why? Halo 4 alone outsold every PS exclusive ever that isn't Gran Turismo. I expect gargantuan sales for Halo 5 and it will probably match or even out sell Uncharted 4 despite the install base numbers. You are severly underestimating Halo.
