Oh, MS will stay even if X1 absolutely flops (which it wont). they will still get loads of profit out the ads they post on the home screen. i am still interested in forza.

Technically the xb1 is not flopping, it's just the fact that the PS4 is selling so damn good that it makes the Xb1 look bad. As far as them staying or going they most likely will, I mean the xbox division is not the most profitable division in MS but they still bring in billions of dollars each year, last year I think it was like 86 billion according to Bloomberg. But thats not what worries me, what I'm concerned about are the shareholders who have no interest in gaming and cannot see the value of gaming if done right, they only see dollar signs.

I'm interested in all of the games they have to show, I'm just not expecting to see any games other than the ones they have previously announced were in development. I could be wrong but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

the cows make it seem like it's flopping.

haha funny stuff. Good post too. Yeah I don't know what they are going to do. Clearly they have now renamed Black Tusk studios, so we can expect Gears of War every two years from now on. So Halo and Forza will not be the only dead horses they will beat on for years to come.

We've already seen them put a lot of money out for Ryse from Crytek, TitanFall from Respawn, Sunset Overdrive from Insomniac, and now Tomb Raider from Square Enix. So far it hasn't made a dent. The only thing that has helped is for them to take it on the chin with that historic price cut down to $350.

Still, Sony is thoroughly dominating Xbox One outside of the US. XB1 has to DESTROY PS4 in the US just to break even on a week to week basis with PS4. As you pointed out, that isn't happening. So the gap keeps growing in PS4's favor.

This gen is over if you asked me. There is nothing MS can do short of buying up EA or Ubisoft or both to turn this thing around. They need to hope Sony trips over itself and does something really stupid in the next year or so.

Short of that, I think MS needs to position themselves for a better run in the next console generation. They need to build up more first party studios and get them started on new IPs that MS owns. The over reliance on third party studios to fill in the gaps is now killing them. 343 is caught up babysitting Halo. Black Tusk is babysitting Gears of War. Also, Halo and Forza are getting long in the teeth and are not the draw they used to be. EA is bringing TitanFall 2 to PS4 as well. If Sunset Overdrive even gets a sequel, MS doesn't own that either. I wouldn't be surprised if Insomniac finds a publisher to put it on both platforms.

Thank you! Someone who gets it. You may just be right. This year's E3 is a lot less about bringing the fight to Sony and more about establishing that they can use IP to differentiate the XBox in the years to come. However, it's insane to think it's come to that. Microsoft actually taking a page out of Nintendo's book and going into survival mode rather than "HURR DURR WE BOUGHT KABOOM" and "XBox will be the only place where you can play Halo and GTA herp derpery."

If XBoxes most die-hard followers were to ever be believed, MS couldn't ever be in this position. 'Hey you guys, it's Battletoads, isn't this neat?'

The problem I have had with MS since 360 is that they spent more on 3rd party exclusives than building up their own 1st party. The ps3 caught up because Sony pounded them with 1st party games and not relying on a trinity of games in halo, gears and forza.

Its really all semantics. It doesn't matter if the exclusive came from a first party or third party. A good game is a good game. Not to mention that outsourcing production is sometimes more productive than doing it in house....

From the consumer's perspective, it's not a big difference. An exclusive is an exclusive.

Overall, though it does matter because third party developers tend to move on and don't necessarily march to your schedule. For instance, when Bungie and Epic both moved on from Halo and Gears of War, MS had to tie up 343 and Black Rock to babysit those IPs. If Halo and Gears of War had been done by first party studios, then 343 and Black Rock would be working on new IPs instead. Maybe one of them comes up with that answer to Uncharted that caused Phil to go pay for Tomb Raider. We won't ever know now. As big as Halo and Gears are, the fact they were developed by third party studios is now costing MS extra.

Great thread Shew but it is all insecurity. The One is selling better than the 360.

There will be games and megatons at E3 from Microsoft.

If I was a cow I would be worried about Sony. So far you guys have a 1TB sku that you guys will talk yourself into that it stole the show. We all know Sony is scrapping the barrel and momentum ends without something behind it.

Thanks for your concern. Microsoft Won E3 already.

No one is worried about Sony. Sony has a lot of studios working on stuff we have no idea about. Media Molecule, Guerrilla Games, Naughty Dog has a second team working on some unannounced project, Sony Bend, Sony Japan, Sony Santa Monica, Quantic Dream...E3 and the rest of this year like the Paris show are more about exactly what these studios are doing.

Also, they have games announced for this year that don't have release dates yet like No Man's Sky, Hellblade from Ninja Theory, and Rime. We know Gran Turismo 7 is in works as well.

I'm not even sure it matters how much Halo, Forza, and Gears of War MS keeps showing up with since PS4 has built this lead without any of its biggest selling titles. The biggest thing they have put out is a Last of Us remaster.

Besides all that, does anyone even care? PS4 has been running away from XB1 without any of Sony's biggest name titles that historically move systems...no Uncharted, no God of War, no Gran Turismo, and we got Knack instead of Ratchet and Clank. Meanwhile, MS has been pushing out Halo, Forza, TitanFall, and Sunset Overdrive, and still they had to drop the price all the way to $350 to finally start to see any glimmer of hope.

I wouldn't say no one is worried. Two big games this year were delayed here from 2014. Teh Order and Bloodbath. It actually worked out ok since there was a Holiday drought from Sony.

All those studios you list are just hope right now. If they don't announce something then don't count on seeing anything in retail for a long ass time. Plus, ND is working on Uncharted 4 and the recently announced Nathan Drake Collection so that might sum up the "untitled project" from earlier.

No Mans Sky will eventually come to Xbox ONE. They announced it as multiplat but changed it in the last year just to accommodate Sony's lack of anything.

By the time No Man's Sky gets to Xbox One, Sony will have gotten everything they needed for it. It will never match the hype it gets when it releases on PS4. And really no one cared that Bloodborne and Order 1886 got delayed except those that want to argue. DriveClub and LBP3 sold very well, and the fall being that it is has no shortage of games to play.

MS seems to think they have to overload fall with all their games for the year, but all that does is cause them to cannibalize each other in sales. Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive got swept aside. Tomb Raider will this year too. Its not a big enough title that you can release it near halo 5, COD, Assassin's Creed, and Star Wars Battlefront (and possibly Fallout 4) and expect it to not get overlooked. That's not even mentioning Forza 6 and Gears of War remake.

Also, Not every game gets spoiled 2 years before release. Sony announced Little Big Planet 3 at E3 last year for a fall release. So no, it's not just hope. I think we will see one, maybe two fall titles announced with the rest being a look at 2016 titles.

Still even if they don't announced anything more, Planetside 2 comes June 23. God of War 3 remaster is in July. Everyone's Gone to the Rapture is out this summer. Add Tearaway, Bloodborne, Order 1886, and the Uncharted Collection to that, and that's not a bad year at all. If all those launched in the fall, no one would be saying PS4 has no games. They just spread them out for better sales. That's no including the others I mentioned like Rime, Hellblade, and No Man's Sky.

No mans sky looks like a great game, but it won't sell that much. It won't reach 2mil at PS4

Sony does have no games when you compare the list to the ONE machine. Crackdown 3, Elite Dangerous, Space Engineer, Scalebound and all the other big titles that were announced. E3 is going to be one hell of a ride! I can't wait!

Not a single one of those will be out this year. Elite Dangerous is out for PC and will be on PS4 as well. Scalebound looks like a title that won't meet the hype...the next Ryse.

MS has basically told us everything that they have for the next two years.

There is still the new Rare game... And I prefer Microsoft announcing a title and releasing it in a 1-1.5 year window (QB the only exception), compared to ND teasing UC4 in November 2013, and releasing it 2.5 years later...

From what I have seen in general Xbox One owners seem to be more sufficiently happy and content with their purchases than PlayStation 4 owners. The amount of desperation in the creation of threads like this speaks volumes as an attempt to belittle what others own to make them feel as if they've done something wrong and at the same time make you feel better about what you own, dragging others down to your level more or less.

One good game in the last 12 months that 1/22nd of the PlayStation 4 community purchased, and who knows what fraction of even that small number enjoyed it/are happy with their purchase of it, probably not too many considering how inaccessible of a game it is, what it is and how it was marketed in a way that would entice basically anyone.

What is there for the next 12 months? Until Dawn and then Uncharted 4? An interactive movie which has already put a horrible taste in peoples mouths because of The Order fiasco and then Uncharted 4 which is the saving grace a year from now?

A fucking year.... Forza Horizon 2, The Master Chief Collection, Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, Ori and the Blind Forest, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, Halo 5, Forza 6, Quantum Break, Crackdown 3, Scalebound, Gears of War, Phantom Dust and whatever else the Microsoft has on the board including a new Rare IP, that's a tough act to follow and people are taking notice. That is why all of these anti Microsoft and Xbox One threads are popping up, people are getting jealous and having buyers remorse so they lash out, they see that this console they despise and its user base are being taken care of and delivered good games in a timely fashion while Sony is basically saying....

"Sorry, we know things are sparse, so enjoy these other games which will be on both the PC and Xbox One, but in our minds they're exclusives."

Get the **** out of here with that shit, this console while selling good has been a complete disorganized and unprepared disaster... People call me a lemming because they think that I am in love with Microsoft, no, I am just extremely displeased with Sony and honest enough with myself and others to make it known. You can fluff things all you like, you can cite sales figures until the cows come home, but at the end of the day it's not going to change that Xbox One owners are more happy.

The PlayStation 4 and what it provides is underwhelming to the core, and that's not going to change for at least a year...

Hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. @Heil68 Now look what you cause a full B4X meltdown...hahahaha

Never have single paragraph cause so much anal discomfort on this place i truly envy you know..hahahaha

Now let me address this lemming.

The Tomorrow Children,Rime,No Man Sky,Drawn to Death,Until down,Every Body Gone to Rapture,Kingdom Hearts 3,Persona, and many others are coming that without counting Uncharted collection which totally neutralize Gears collection, and Until Down which you downplay like a blind fanboy without playing.

Wait so 2 you ask what is for the next 12 month but then you list a bunch of already release games.?

So you count MMC,Forza Horizon,Project Sparks,Sunset Over Drive.?

You don't change B4X still are a blind as ever,Blackace level.

Where is Guilty Gears Xrd,Velocity 2X,The biding of Issac,DC which also came on the holidays last year.?

But then you mix 2016 games as well like Crackdown, and Quantum delay which is Remedy last game is anything top go by you will play Quantum Break on 2018.

Scalebound,Crackdown,Quantum Fake,Phantom Dust, and sequel to Gears are all 2016 and knowing MS probably holiday 2016,the only big name there is Gears,Scalebound hasn't even been show gameplay wise it was a damn CG..lol

This Year Ori is the only decent thing on xbox one for the first 6 months of this year and Indie which you people love to claim don't count, the xbox one has shit to play this year,it doesn't get a good exclusive since Sunset Over Drive and that was 81% not great either..hahahaaha

Halo,Gears,Forza,Tomb Raider are holiday games,so basically the xbox one has shit to play for almost 1 year,it sure hasn't have anything other than Ori which is multiplatform as well.

And the rest of the crap you name was already release last year, and non were 90% material, not even Halo lol.

So 1 good game is better than NOTHING the xbox one doesn't have a single 90% or better game, and in FACT ORI AND THE BLIND FOREST IS THE HIGHEST RATED GAME ON XBOX ONE THAT IS NOT ON PS4,OUTSCORING ANY XBOX ONE EXCLUSIVE..

Hahahahaaa That pathetic the xbox one is but is great because it show that the best thing on xbox one not on PS4 is an Indie game and you people know how much you hate those now and how they don't count right.?

Hahahaa

LONG LIVE INDIES.. (they count only on xbox)

Rime is not on PC,Until down is not on PC,The Tomorrow children is not on PC,Drawn to death is not on PC,and No Ma Sky is PS4 first then on PC much like your precious Tomb Raider the only difference is Tomb Raider will come to PS4 and no man sky is not coming to xbox one.

People call you a lemming because you are a blind biased lemming B4X on all of your accounts, how the fu** can you find the PS4 displeasing and not the fu**ing xbox one.

FACTS.

The PS4 has more games. 80+ more.

The PS4 has higher scoring games. Fact backed by Metacritics.

The PS4 has a Faster UI.

The PS4 is Stronger.

The PS4 has fast installs.

The PS4 has 2 games abode 90% on metacritics the xbox one has non,not even Halo could achieve that because it was broken as fu**.

That is why people call you a lemming because you are,and i spotted you since the very first posts B4X your meltdowns and fake manticore crap has given you up...hahaha

Now repeat after me xbox one owners are not more happy with their console than sony fans are with their PS4.

The PS4 has more games and higher rated games.

The PS4 is the best selling consoles because it has more games..lol

Indies count since i counted Ori.

Now repeat that in bold 20 times a day and your meltdown should come down..hahaha

@FastRobby said:

Wanna bet that all those games are going to get a higher score than The Order? Go play your indiestation, cow

Just like Ori outscored any xbox one exclusive.? Hahahahaa talking about indiestation..ahahahaa

no it didn't.

And don't post that stupid article by the Forcast company IDC which was just that, A forecast and was debunked a million times.

all we really know is that the 360 passed 80 million units a whole month before the Ps3 and that the 360 sold 83 million units as of March 31st last year and the Ps3 had sold 82-83 million as of sept 2014 which is 6 months after the 360 hit that figure.

' As for the stats, we've heard the PS3 has sold around 82 or 83 million'

http://www.psxextreme.com/ps4-news/1688.html

Yes it did.

Those number are wrong they were weeks apart from 80 millions, and that year The PS3 outsold the xbox 360 world wide just like it outsold it again on 2014 and is outselling it now world wide, those numbers are not official.

The xbox 360 only sells on US is dead every where else, hell the PS3 is even outselling the wii U in japan several weeks this year.

And those numbers came from VG chartz since another source quoting those same numbers quoted VGchartz as source for the 83 million mark.

No breakdown of the three individual system was given. Using the admittedly unreliable figures fromVGChartz says that PS3 has sold 83 million, PS4 8.3 million, and PS Vita 8.5 million.

http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/playstation-3-ps4-vita-sales-reach-100-million/

The 100 million came from sony the breakout of numbers came from VGchartz and you know what that means, sony never broke the numbers by platforms when they stated 100 million and you can try to search for it you will not find it.

In fact now VGchartz has the PS3 ahead 85.67 million vs 84.84 xbox 360,nothing has change the PS3 continues to outsell the xbox 360 world wide,so if they were apart by weeks reaching 80 millions it is a given they outsold the xbox 360 by now.

Is that so? Because it looks like Crackdown, Fable Legends, Scalebound, and Tomb Raider still aren't on a store shelf in sight. Funny that. Please, I love a good fairytale. Don't let anything like reality stop you.

I'm saying it will be a lot of fun laughing in your face at your "one exception" argument.

I definitely do not think Tomb Raider should release this year. MS clearly doesn't care about money as much as Sony, but I don't get paying as much money as they did for this only to dump it into a fall meat grinder that it can't possibly compete in. They should release Tomb Raider next summer when it can be the focus of attention. Forget Uncharted, Tomb Raider will have it's hands full just trying to be one of the top 5 selling games on Xbox One this fall, and that's assuming Fallout 4 isn't a fall game too. The way I see it, here's how the top 5 games on Xbox One will sell in the fall:

1) Halo 5

2) Black Ops 3

3) Star Wars Battlefront

4) Assassin's Creed Syndicate

5) Gears of War Remaster

After that you will have some combination of Tomb Raider, Rainbow Six Siege, Fable Legends, Forza 6, and maybe Just Cause 3. Tomb Raider could beat out the others for the 6 spot, but its hard to tell. Still, you'd think MS would want to release this game when it has a better chance of taking the headlines. There's a reason Square Enix thought the reboot was a disappointment. It didn't sell well enough to compete with the IPs in that top 5 I listed.

I get what you are saying, but Microsoft likes to have a lot of exclusives from September -> December, because that way they sell the most consoles in the holiday season. What better thing to say then: We've got Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5, Fable Legends, Tomb Raider, GoW, new CoD, new AC, and SW BF. It looks like they are THE console to own, with the most and best games. It's all marketing... I don't got a problem with it, because this way I'll probably buy Halo 5 during holiday season, and then when I've finished it, the other games will have dropped in price, and I can play them during times that there aren't that many games to play, as is the case at the moment.

When do most consoles get sold? During holiday season. So if you could steal 25% of the people that were planning to buy a PS4, to the Xbox One side, it would be much more compared to if you would get them in June.

True but again I think that goes back to them not caring how many games they sell which is odd because that's how most console manufacturers make their money back. Most people will be like you and pick up 1 to 4 titles, and get the rest sometime in 2016 when the price drops. That means MS won't profit as much since people aren't buying when the price is highest.

That's an impressive lineup, but you'd have to have $400 in hand for games this fall to buy most of them and even then you'd never get around to playing all of them until some time in 2016.

Sony has long taken the opposite approach to maximize game sales. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony delayed Uncharted 4 on purpose to hit the early 2016 window. Infamous Second Son sold 1 million copies in just 9 days in March 2014. Order 1886 was the top seller for a couple of weeks this February even after all the bad press. Bloodborne has sold extremely well for them too. Uncharted 4 will clean up in the same time frame next year. It will be all anyone talks about. Right after E3, Planetside 2 launches on PS4 on June 23, and I think the God of War 3 remaster releases in July.

So Sony is content to let MS battle COD, EA, and Assassin's Creed in the fall and let those games carry their owners, and then dominate the headlines the rest of the year.

on trial for what? xb1 has healthy sales numbers (what does it matter that they have lost on npd a lot when they are outpacing a console that sold 80+ million? ) and first party games that sell a ton.

sure they dont have much more than halo, gears and forza but ms is promising more ips.

That's kinda funny, actually. PS4s sales in the US alone last year proved that to be false. If your product truly has a healthy cycle, you don't double your sales over the holidays. I'm sure Apple would say the same thing.

haha funny stuff.

It's rather hard to compare any of the current consoles to the Wii, though. 2009 was a strong year for the Wii but then it was the beginning of the end for its novelty factor.

Whos to say the PS4 won't fade? There are no reports anywhere that 360 owners are jumping to PS4 in significant numbers.

Last I read, the XB1 is selling better than the 360 was at the same time.

My mind is blown. I guess we'll pick up this conversation at the end of the gen since all we'd really be doing is arguing whose crystal ball works better than the other.

As far as outselling the 360 up to this point in time? That's actually not as impressive a soundbite as you may think. The 360 didn't even break the 10M units sold in a year mile marker until 2008 (10.91). So, while the 360 was building momentum up until its first price drop, the XBone was dead in the water until it had two price drops and game bundles. They are two very different machines in terms of market position.

Now, for that, I don't need to rub a crystal ball. Unless something utterly massive happens between now and E3 2016, the Bone will not push even 10M units sold-in through this holiday season and then that whole "How is it selling compared to the 360, now?" will become a Cow warcry. You might want to retire that argument.

Apple Q1 sales (September-December) are always WAAAAAAAY more than the rest of the year...

  • Q3'14 = 35mil (Q3 is May-August)
  • Q4'14 = 39mil
  • Q1'15 = 75mil (This is actually September-December 2014)
  • Q2'15 = 61mil

So yeah, they doubled it... And at the moment Sony isn't really outrunning them in USA. Sure last NPD differences were minor, but that just means that the Xbox One is doing better than last year in America. If they keep this, they will sell even more during the holidays, which will pay-off.

The Xb1 already sold 10 million. And, all consoles sell better when the price point dips below $300. Who's to say in another year, when the XB1 drops to $249, it won't start to sell like hot cakes?

You put too much faith in early leads. The 360 handily beat the PS3 until the slim came out.

Wat?! You may have missed the point of what I was saying. I'm talking about what they sell in a single year.. and no. XBone is nowhere even remotely close to selling 10M so far in 2015. They'd have to be putting the things on rockets to Pluto and underwriting them to make that happen. LOL!!!

@FastRobby said:

Wanna bet that all those games are going to get a higher score than The Order? Go play your indiestation, cow

Just like Ori outscored any xbox one exclusive.? Hahahahaa talking about indiestation..ahahahaa

@delta3074 said:

no it didn't.

Both Sony and MS's consoles are on trial as far as I'm concerned. Both consoles libraries are as interesting as..well they aren't interesting in the freaking slightest.

Yeah because PS4 was doing sooooo good in that department... You haven't had anything since launch until Bloodborne came. That's only a waiting period of 1.5 years... And now they have to wait another year for the next decent game (UC4). It's so good being a PS4 owner, keep waiting on that greatness

So Infamous,MLB,TLOU,DC,LBP,Velocity 2X,Guilty Gears Xrd,The Biding Of Issac didn't happen.?

Now define what decent is because if Decent means 90% or better yeah you hypocrite lemming the xbox one still is waiting it doesn't have a single game on Meta that is 90% there isn't a rule on this site which stated that only gamespot score matter and the standard in the industry which even THIS OWN site promote is Metacritics.

And while you try desperately to hold to gamespot 9 and try to claim Meta wasn't valid here because this is gamespot the reality comes and slap you right in the face,oh look just right of Gamespot score is Meta score in other words gamespot validating mata..hahahaha

So that means the xbox one has 17 months without an actual 90% or better game and it would be basically on its second year when it receive its first 90% better IF Halo,Forza,or Gears collection deliver.

We also know the last Halo wasn't a 9 either and i am talking about 4 which scored 87% that is Resistance 2 like..lol

The xbox one has less games, lower scoring games and get inferior version of those games to.

@TigerSuperman said:

As I said before MS could come in, talk about history for 10 minutes, close with Halo 5, have a 25 minute conference and be perfectly fine because Halo 5.

This thread is full of hopes and dreams that won't happen for the TC.

How did that work out last year.? Oh yeah MS had to basically sold its console for rotten mean prices with freebies and gift cards because it was outsold 10 months out of the 12 the years has..lol

@TigerSuperman said:

So where are the AAA big budget exclusives for the PS4, in between Bloodborne and Uncharted 4?

Also that's a poor argument since multiplats are the number one selling games.

Been big budget doesn't warranty success or a good score i am sure The Order is a big budget game and look what happen to it,Halo 4 isn't a 90+ game neither was Forza 5 or the last Gears game either, having millions into a budget doesn't warranty a good score, look at Destiny.

Oh and i am not even counting Uncharted collection when lemming are counting Gears collection and last year accounted Halo specially you as something big, when in reality it charted 1 month and banish from the charts..lol

@kudotsunodafan said:

Over-exaggerating much? This is some serious concern trolling. Microsoft is here to stay and they'll be kicking some serious ass this E3.

There is honestly no way they can **** up at E3 with their games lineup:

  • Halo 5
  • Fable Legends
  • Forza 6
  • Rise of Tomb Raider
  • Gears of War Ultimate Edition (Recycle over exploited games)
  • Quantum Break
  • Crackdown --2016
  • Scalebound (Not even gameplay exist of this game.)2016 The closes
  • Phantom Dust -- Delay 2016
  • Rare's new game(s) 2020.?
  • Gears of War 4 -- 2016
  • Twisted Pixel new IP -- 2016 or who knows.
  • Press Play new IP -- 2016 or who knows.

Best lineup in Xbox history!

Fixed for you body.

I see nothing great all i see is some recycle and abused series, and some games which are 2016 and probably late 2016.

@FastRobby said:

Different SKU, but keep reaching

It didn't existed there wasn't 2 sku on launch like the 360 or PS3,it was 1 $500 and now you can get an xbox one for $350 so yeah it is a price drop of $150 over the original model and with 2 free games which also add even more value, the xbox 360 didn't enjoy that.

What the heck is the difference between a first party IP and third party IP exclusive to the average consumer? Nothing, a worry that the game will come to another platform a few years after it's fully reached sales potential? lol

People are so hung up on first party when the only thing that matters is CONSOLE EXCLUSIVES. Microsoft isn't that much of an asshole to rip an IP from a talented developer, unlike that tyrant Sony and were crucifying them for it. lol, this forum.

Btw; Microsoft has Scalebound, Quantum Break, Crackdown 3, Phantom Dust and Gears of War 4 coming next year. They're fine, looking a lot better than Sony's AAA exclusives.

Really.?

Guilty Gears Xrd 85% = Halo MCC 85%

Velocity 2X 86% = Flopza Horizon 2 86% (flop because of sales not score it didn't chart alto if Flop to here.)

The Binding of Issac 88% > Sunset Over driver 81% (also flop sales wise didn't chart.)

Samurrai Warrior 76%

Drive Club 71%

What Holiday Drought.?

I just proved to you the PS4 had games and equal score and even higher in some situations,so the whole holiday drought is a myth, just like a sad illusion that the xbox one has games when in reality it doesn't it has shallow shit and recycle failure its best game not on PS4 is an Indie game which quite make the xbox one into an Indie station and pretty much put the xbox one on the same spot the PS4 was on launch when Resogun was the highest rated exclusive..hahahaa

Oh and i am treating Ori as an exclusive you know it clearly ins't but since it is not on PS4 i play alone, but the last xbox one exclusive and highest rated is Sunset Over Drive which was 81,MCC is not exclusive,Forza Horizon 2 either.

Wait so some one say rare new IP,this otehr studio new IP without name and the same can't be say about the PS4.? Damn lemmings a hypocrites this gen,is like you don't even try to cover it..hahaha

Multiplatforms mean PC and PS4 no man sky has no release date for xbox one and hasn't been announce for xbox one, unlike Tomb Raider which we know will land on PS4..hahaha

@FastRobby said:

No mans sky looks like a great game, but it won't sell that much. It won't reach 2mil at PS4

Bookmarked.

I don't care if it sell 3 copies all i care is that it would probably be a great game which I could buy.

@FastRobby said:

There is still the new Rare game... And I prefer Microsoft announcing a title and releasing it in a 1-1.5 year window (QB the only exception), compared to ND teasing UC4 in November 2013, and releasing it 2.5 years later...

Crackdown was first show with the cloud crap demo and was april 2014,the game doesn't come probably until fall 2016 so yeah 2+ years there.

They sold the most consoles the holidays because they sell their units for rotten meat prices.

$349 + 2 games which = like $100 + $50 gift card for a console that wasn't even 2 years old was total desperation but the reality was if they did not do that,at $400 not even Halo,Forza and gears would have save it from been outsold by the PS4.

You assume every one wants Halo,Forza,Gears or Fable, most people will go for COD,Starwars and assassins creed and others, and those will hurt MS games badly, look at Forza Horizon 2,Sunset Over drive they were kill by 3rd parties games, and even Halo charted barely the first month only to banish from the charts the month latter.

The year is 12 months not 3 which is sad, since as of now the xbox one has shit since last holiday, and will continue to be like that probably until late september.

@StormyJoe said:

Whos to say the PS4 won't fade? There are no reports anywhere that 360 owners are jumping to PS4 in significant numbers.

Last I read, the XB1 is selling better than the 360 was at the same time.

Yeah just wait for those 360 owners to jump for the xbox,i am still waiting for the 70 million PS2 owners who didn't jump into a PS3.

Is it clear the xbox one is losing badly and 360 owners jumped to the PS4.

Comparing 360 sales to xbox one sales are a joke.

First the xbox 360 had a 6 month shortage,on launch MS could barely ship half a million units and 1 million+ as of December 31 compare that to the xbox one 3.9 million which 900k went unsold.

So from the go we have a constrict hold back console by shortages vs one that saturated the channels.

Second the xbox 360 wasn't selling for $150 less than its original price 12 months after launch with 2 free hot games + a $50 dollar gift card.

The xbox 360 first price drop came in August 2007 and was $50 dollars no free games no nothing in fact in January 2007 the xbox 360 was $400 with no games, the xbox one was $350 on January 2015 with 2 free games.

So both consoles were not been sold under the same parameters and still the xbox one still barely outselling the xbox one if it wasn't for MS huge holiday deal the xbox one would be behind the xbox 360 now, since MS shipped 10.4 million xbox 360 as of December 31 2006.

Hell MS as totally avoided talking about even shipped numbers is a total mystery and you can wonder why the silence.

I think Xbox will do great; probably could be their best showing OR it could be incredibly predictable and boring because it seems like they're showing us all their cards. Nonetheless, it'll still be solid.

Sony will probably focus more on PlayStation as a whole, which will definitely bore some people but I think it'll them that Sony is focused on providing next gen experiences - part through Morpheus and then part through their new IPs and strategic partnerships with people like Capcom. It'll come down to what you prefer in an E3 but I think Sony will come out on top.

All in all, I'm pretty freaking pumped for this E3. We should see some really awesome games across the board.

lol the fanboyism is off the chain in this thread! Both MS and Sony are on "trail" for different reasons. But I think MS has to put in the most effort as they are on the defensive, while Sony can "slack off", which I do NOT want them to do. I for one just hopes MS E3 lives up to the hype. I am still glad Spencer is turning sh*t around since the mess that airhead Don Mattrick created.

Phil Spencer CONVINCE me to get an Xbox at E3, so far you have gotten my attention.

At the end of the day, that's what I wanted to see what the reaction would be. They do need a good showing this year. The time for cheap soundbites and marketing have come to an end. After this year, the XBone either trends with the relative success of the 360 or it fizzles out short of that goal. This is the E3 where they show us they can go HAM. The 360 sold 10.91M units in its third year out and this is the E3 where they show us how they are going to do that.

Yeah, it's tough talk to say that the brand is on trial. I truly was expecting to hear a lot more compelling arguments as to why they will attain that goal. Instead, a whole lot of people simply want to turn this thread into a personality conflict about me. It shouldn't be hard to state a case for the XBone making waves at its biggest E3 ever but apparently it is.

May victory go not to the strong, but to the just.

Indeed. And to be quite honest Is am glad the PS4 is kicking the Xbox One ass, because it MAKES MS try and put out more games. Competition is always good. Whether you're a PS4 fan, Xbox fan or Nintendo fan. For reason with Phil Spencer, I believe he CAN deliver, because not only is he a gamer himself, but I've been seeing on twitter on how he actually reads customer/fans tweets and responds to them. But still I'm gonna wait until E3 to judge. If MS delivers then I'll get an X1, if they don't then I guess I'll be sticking to my trusty PS4. :)

IMO for MS to even have a good E3, 343 should come out and apologize AGAIN, but also release more free stuff. A free Halo ODST is nice, but how about a free Halo Reach? I mean the MCC was a bust and 343 should realize that more if they do not want to get booed off stage. Other than that MS should just stick to their promise that they'll be announcing mostly mostly first party games/exclusives and that their conference will be "jammed". Their megaton imo should be a new IP. The next Halo or Gears. Like how TLOU was the next Uncharted for Sony. But I'm not trying to get hyped for that. As for the new Rare game, it should be a new IP instead. I know I would love a new Conker game. But the thing is a lot of biased people just don't trust MS/New Rare with old school Rare games. And will find just any reasons to hate. The old Rare is gone. It was gone before MS even purchased it. They can't give people that "nostalgia" people want, because the old team are all gone. So just release a new IP. Also MS should announce that they have bought a new studio, maybe Remedy. Because remember what happened with Bioware MS?

Anyways MS should just stick to their promises and they'll have a good Xbox E3 imo.

As for their PC E3. They SHOULD NOT DARE even try to talk about the Xbox One, though Spencer admitted via twitter that he is not there to try and promote the Xbox One. Spencer should talk about Dx12, cross plat play(which is really interesting imo), how Windows 10 is good for gaming and if they really want to convince PC gamers that they "care about them" then release some titles for the PC like the Age of series, Shadowrun or heck even the MCC. ;)

I mean that would REALLY convince PC gamers. Plus MCC has already sold well on the Xbox One and their old games so why not?

@tormentos: proving again why he is the biggest tool in SW. Because, you know, arcade shooters are just as big of games as something like Gears of War.

Aqua Kitty for the win!

Hahahahaa

The Tomorrow Children use graphics techniques the xbox one hasn't even use..hahahahaa

Drawn to Death look like a fantastic very mature competitive shooter,No mans sky is bigger in scale than all Halo, gears,Forzas and Fable put together and Rime is a open game with cell shaded graphics which has instant classic written all over it as Ico or shadow of the colossus.

And this is the problem with stupid lemmings they believe because and indie developer is making a game some how it most be a 2D shooter...lol

You people will get mighty owned come this holiday.

Now since you think indie means that all games are like Aqua Kitty now you most prove so..lol

First off - nice "100 replies in one post". What the ****?

Second: It's not clear at all, and you have zero basis for saying so. MS adjusted their pricing and strategy, and you condemn them. If they left their original strategy in place, you would condemn them. Proving one again, you are nothing more than a noisy cow devoid of logic and reason.

Third: From a manufacturer's stand point, shipped ISsold. This whole "shipped vs sold" is an exercise in economic ignorance.

Fourth: Aqua Kitty. Aqua fucking kitty. If you are going to make that dumb statement "Moo the PS4 has 80 more games moo moo moo", I am going to bust you on it.

Lastly: You are a hypocrite: You bashed the Xb1 for having "no games for 8 months"; yet don't say squat about the PS4 not having any games the rest of the year - even SONY admits it's a problem. Oh, but super moo-cow Tormentos points to a bunch of Indy arcade games as damage control.
