Whilst the chaos continues in the central plains, another warlord of boundless ambition has annexed his immediate petty neighbor, Dong Zhou and his officers Lu Bu and Diao Chan, thus laying the foundation for the Kingdom of Qin. The principle actors of this nation are:
The King of Qin - A Ruthless, terror inspiring warlord bent on ruling the world. A gifted leader of men, he crafts masterful strategies which almost always lead him to victory on the battlefield. But mere soldiering is not his only skill, as his crafting and cunning aids considerably in his more "aggresive" form of politics. Will he found a dynasty which will last for ten thousand generations? Or one which collapses as soon as his corpse grows cold..........
Dong Zhou - If anyone could be more ruthless in the Qin court than the King, it would be Dong Zhou. A man whose cruelty, corruption, and waistline know no bounds, he serves as the Kings right hand henchman, leading in place of the King when the king must be elsewhere. The shear terror of falling victim to Dong Zhou's depravity will be sure to keep underlings in line and enemies in terror, though he himself is not disposed to loyalty.
Lu Bu - The chief enforcer of Qin and the mighties warrior of the land. Like a dog, he will carry out his orders , whatever they may be, must must be fed a continuous diet of battle to ensure his obedience. Prefers the direct and blunt approach to problems, and action rather than talk. What more need be said of him?
Diao Chan - The lady of the Court of Qin, and the Kings favorite acquisition. Her beauty, grace, and skill at dance and music lifts the spirits of the Qin court ever closer to the heavens, but will she unwittingly (or perhaps purposefully) bring about its demise, as all the others vie for her affections?Han Zhong, Go Sheng, Zhang Liang - The three stooges of the court. Though competent, their bungling and bickering amongst themselves tends to entertain the King as often as it irritates him. Even so, they are the epitome of the faceless, heartless bureaucrat, following procedure without question or thought, regardless of the logic behind the rules or their effect on others. Indeed, protocol is deviated from only if doing so will enrich themselves personally, and they have had a rivalry of sorts, as far as how much they each put in their own pocket, without the King noticing.
