Real world military squad-based tactics will work in Stargate Worlds. The last thing we want to see in our world is a bunny-hopping Jaffa.
So how much of the game will be NPCs? Can players only be SG teams, Jaffa, Ori (hopefully) etc. Or does this game allow you to be anything you want? It seems to revolve around combat a lot.

I have no idea how the combat or classes are going to work out but there should be vehicles but no flight as far as i know. I'm sure people will make mods to make other things from the Stargate universe possible so if something you want isn't in the original game there is always the chance of mods adding it in.
I dont know the extent people will be able to mod things since this will be a multiplayer only game like WoW. Hopefully the developers will be like Stardock who made the Galatic Civilizations and listen to it's customers and develope new patches and stuff based on feedback.
Not to me atleast. Expansion packs are mods that have to be bought since they are made from the company to make more money. Mods generally are free to download and use.
I would like to see Atlantis in the original game. You would have to do a certain amount of things before getting a powerful enough powersource to gate to Pegasus. Would add a nice quest between teams to see who could "claim" Atlantis first:).

That would be quite a bit better and really should improve gaming performance. Especially when SGW comes out since you need to transfer data back and forth otherwise you'll get lag and we'll only see you jumping around which ticks other people off lol. Still that seems kinda expensive for your service. I pay about 40 USD a month for my service but i dont know how much your already paying for your service.
Alot of inner cities in europe have very high speed internet for really cheap but then it's also far harder when a medium state in the US is as big as some countries. We do get ripped off alot in the US because there isnt generally enough competition to bring the prices down. I think in france they can get a pretty cheap 20 Mb connection where in the US you can even find that for a very high price really lol.
I think the best you'll get is satallite since the cost of trying to supply a high speed internet in a low population density wouldnt make them any money and that is what they are all about. Maybe you electric company will eventually offer high speed through the light socket (yes some were actually thinking about it) but who knows when that will be.

I dont see that happening in very many rural areas or reaching that far out. He might still have a Panera Bread and Starbucks that have hotspots so he could possibly play online there on a laptop lol.
I just checked my service prices. I can get 8mb broadband with unlimited monthly usage allowance for £14.99. I think that's a bit of a rip off though. I'm sure I could find 16mb for a little bit extra.
