I'm back. I see you've all been very busy entertaining our guest. But I believe the fun is just about over. I can say with a bit of certainty that we all recognize this particular behavior. The poster is of no value to us and only detracts from the quality of the board. Without our rules firmly established we need only consult our personal reason/feelings..and each other (cute I know)...it is my opinion that there is no point in dragging this out with discussions or second chances...or really anything of that sort. It's clearly a waste of effort/good faith.
~Alucard..it's all yours. None of us have the ability to put this to an effective end without prolonging the drama. It's as I had explained. Just not a good fit for us.
good, the leader. Now all these guys should stop bothering me!Killzone333
Don't worry about it, seriously.
They will bother you, and it is well within their rights to kick you from the union. But they might start being nicer to you if you start to play GoW and post your progress. Just a tip.
optiow: It's a chance to apply your "learnings". Celebrate it.
KZ333: For the most part, yes. Until you begin moving up in the 'respect' ranks that is. The easiest way is to answer questions and follow the basic guidelines/rules without complaint let alone direct refusal or anything as foolish as bringing up 'abuse of power'. It's childish.
Style traits are often fine unless they are overly distracting. GS has its own policies about these things and we have our guidelines and collective tastes.
Contributing (various ways to do this) is an obvious path to gaining quick recognition/respect anywhere really. In the past users would create graphics for us, invite users, advertise the union, etc. Standard fair. Posting regularly, creating topics/polls, participating in union games, etc. are often considered good enough but one can easily go wrong with those. It takes a bit of tact to get off on the right foot when you are "new".
Reading and understanding the rules helps too. Get a feel for the board. I've always kept to a policy of lurking for a long while at a board to get an understanding of how things work before getting to heavy into the mix. Playing to the crowd and becoming a top level player in the ranks.
The best ways to get along with me (and quite possibly the other serious players) are to let perceived insults roll off of you *thick skin* and perhaps "play" back...answering questions (within reason)...and of course we like to hear GoW talk. Most especially of your own runs. Progress. Doing bigger and better/badder things. (highly encouraged) Even with GoW as a subject you CAN go wrong.
Ex: Alot of us don't particularly like the Kratos' brother arc or hearing about it.
Repeat topics are generally frowned upon. Union games are now forced to conform to GS policy and thus the "Leader" sees to what gets used at any one point. Polls don't have a set rule or guideline specifically but I don't care much for them. Sure its fine to use but they are rarely worth creating a topic over. Especially for a silly question like that of this very thread. It cannot be taken seriously and the idea of it being serious borders on offensive.
TUGOWU is our top priority at GS. Then the members (leader/officers/recruits). None of this counting GoW (the subject of the union itself).
~'Wall of text' enough for you?
That's not true/accurate at all. Lurkers can be members too. Non-members cannot vote in polls or otherwise participate beyond reporting posts and reading our conversation. (and perhaps enjoying links, pictures, etc.)
~The Union is not invisible to outsiders. They just cannot directly participate. Get it?
ENOUGH! Enough I say as I spit all over and pound my fists.
I am tired off all of this nonsense topic stuff.
Then delete the topic for all means! Lock it! I don't care anymore...
Now, deep breaths and I calm down..
Should have started with the latter part of your message (internally) before posting boy-o.
I don't care for feelings/conditions altering the tone of a post or apologies after the fact. I find such things to be rubbish for lack of a better term. It comes off as quite unnecessary..perhaps even pretentious. (I don't even care if that's accurate, I like using that label with total disregard)
~Weren't you doing a run? Or have we not got you started on one just yet?
NOTE: We try to avoid locking/deleting topics
You mean "polls". The slight SRS BZNZ Kakarot got in SS3 wasn't enough to justify his otherwise annoying character.
Vegeta was the best, Starkiller and Alucard are into Broly too, but he doesn't "do it" for me; even with all his power.
I couldn't find any Vegeta's or Broly's small enough. Most of Google's pictures with Vegeta involved him kissing Kakorot/ Goku / what Starkiller says, man child.
By the way, I'm changing my profile again - I like to be fresh.
Not trying to extend life of the topic, but read a comment on Kratos' brother. Personally, am not a fan of that arc, would have made GoW too much DMC-ish.
What's itching my goatee is that I was listening to the GoW soundtrack on way to work other day and [at end of End Title Theme, I think] Kratos gives a small speech about facing his brother again. Just wondering if it was in game and somehow I missed it?Â
KZ333: "Couldn't find" proper avatars of either of those two? Running into yaoi? Indeed you have much to learn.
If by "fresh" you mean whimsical. At least this one better suits your 'handle'.
Req: It was only on the sountrack. It's still non-canon. No worries.
The only threat is from casual (and troll) persistance in suggesting the idea is anything but retarded...as that could force it into the series at some point despite better judgement of the team..Barlog was one I could certainly agree with. We'll see where Stig stands in due time. His stance on Co-Op is certainly promising.
Hey, the skull suits my needs. Just like your crying, screaming, angry avatar suits your's.
And about the Vegeta - Broly thing. It's hard to find good 80x80 images of them.
Is my ground clear? Because I'm tired of cleaning it.
Screaming? This is the RAGE gent (in color). A show of extreme disapproval of any and all users I see. It's also an ode to days past.
Lies. Try harder. Also, there exists the possibility of personally creating these things for yourself...
It's never going to be good enough without run progress. Not ever.
That's a stupid question. The very posing of it (question/poll) is intellectually insulting.
If you don't know what constitutes AO verus M...or the consequences for allowing labeling of the latter in the final product.. well you're just not keeping in the loop very well and should probably not be speaking. If you do know, you're likely to appreciate how rediculous this is.
~It's another wasted topic. One that reflects the attitudes/behavior of a new user. Seeing anything of this sort makes me hesistant to allow such users in. The quality is as such..
Starkiller: I don't care what you call it, it just shows your personality.
As to conclude moiy topic, a game is AO if it features nudity. But a game will sell less if it is AO, so they lie and make it M. A simple thing to think about really.
There are people out there though...
And Starkiller, you just won't rest with my avatar will you? Then find me an adequite picture 80x80 of Vegeta or Broly. Be my guest. And then I'll see if my computer will even upload it!
(*big breath*)
Dusty: ...I have to wonder if you at all understand what AO ratings contain let alone the issues with creating such a title...
No worries, Dusty. I've heard it many times from the lesser users who weren't properly equipped to active in board life with the likes of the TUGOWU of the now. Only things that injure TUGOWU itself will reach me you see.
I've also gone over why I was originally assigned officer position despite being quite reluctant to accept the role in the past. TUGOWU simply needs a user like myself...though I can see there will always be the issue of those that don't fit in the same frame as myself...just as there could never be another one like myself (in the sense that there can be only one).
I was never given this position to be a greeter or 'nice guy'. I was assigned the position to watch for threats to the union, play advisor, stand-in leader (and other similiar positions), reporter, topic generator (usually sticking to things relating to actually playing GoW though creative threads aren't beyond me), rule enforcer *bad cop*, 'gatekeeper' (accept/reject), etc. At the start I was just very active and was more serious than any other current user about playing GoW. Because of all that I knew, it was good that I had a position to properly share this knowledge with others and (if need be) use the powers granted to 'deal' with threads/posts.
We have had officers purely about being 'upstanding recruits turned regulars'..even awarded the position as a prize. The roles of the job aren't as simple as with other unions. They haven't been for a long time. Whatever negatives you perceive with TUGOWU's 'attitude' could be attributed to users like myself which changed focus away from casuals with the usual union banter about a beloved series...to hardcore regulars that will strike each other now and then for the fun of it.
Though I tend to have this sort of complaint launched now and then (easily offended/delicate individuals)..I've been too valuable to simply eject...and the so called offenses not nearly serious enough for proper action. It's playing light by my book. All very natural. I'd like to see things work out but there are a tell tale signs I look for...overlooking these has always ended in an undesirable fashion. Failing to act on these clear solutions has also proven to be a fault in the approach I've taken. Yet here I am again..the nice guy (underneath it all) hearing this out again.
NOTE: If you wish to continue this discussion *signs point to "Yes" though it what sense you approach it..that remais to be seen since your character was never really that evident as a stand-out in the past either* we can iron things out in Union Suggestions, Off-Topic, etc. if you like. I'd be happy to oblige.
Lucifer: Why is this so diffiuclt for others to grasp? I can understand when it's used as a joke or trolling material but not when posed in all seriousness. I have to doubt the latter case out the gate. I still don't believe the topic is sincere.
KZ333: I have been known to say I'm my own audience..what pleases me acts as the very guide I use. Is that so wrong?
I won't speak intellectually about this topic. It's not deserving. It wasn't when it was on the social boards. Back when I reviewed your history, this was the only topic I took issue with in considering your application. It's not the sort of thing valued here.
Your avatar is of little interest in truth. "Sword rattling" mah boi. If you can't find it, create one. Use PAINT if need be. Wouldn't want to look LAZEE in front of Stephanie now would you?
NOTE: I don't expect new users to fully understand the referances above, but I do expect butthurt.
Which is all I have.
A little concern of mine - who's Stephanie?
And last of all - my computer really is horrible with uploading my profile picture. I did try a Helghast, but it stayed the same. so I got this here, my skull.
Now Lucy, or Lucifer - wherever you are I'd like you to explain your avatar. I am interested in the details.
Search (however you see fit) "Lazytown". Consider the way of the 'troll'.
Why not just resize a picture?..
~Look Lucifer. A decent OT 'topic' idea. Explanation of an avatar. Next we'll hvae one for our 'handles', signs, banners, etc. Each one would be better than another vs/poll. I grant my blessing.
Starkiller: So, an OT thread explaining your avatar.
*Easy for me. I've had to explain my avatar about 3 times.
Lucifer: We'll be waiting.
Deleted post? Such a bother...
Perhaps not, for some reason it wouldn't show.
I'll be the one doing the waiting till the thread gets made.
I'm sure you need that time to think of what to say about your avatar. But most should be able to guess combined with your name and the avatar.
