More like... awesome. Make me even for embarassed of my own text. It was supposed to be a parody, but it ended up being just clechéed. Here it goes:

All of you, get ready.

Be the best that you can be.

Can you go all the way?

Do you have what it takes?

Even when the going gets tough.

Fight with all the strength you've got.

Go the distance.

Have faith.

In the heat of the battle.

Just stay calm.

Keep your cool.

Let it all out.

More strength than you thought you had.

No power must be unused.

One thing you have to do:

Put the important things first.

Quality over quantity.

Rest before exaggerated training.

Try your best.

Use what you have in all competitions.

Vast is the possibilities.

World cup?

X-games?

You can win it all.

Zero things are impossible.

We've spent our lives doing things the ways we think to do. Some did well with their lives, others went down with regret. We've built our societies up on fundamentals, religion, politics, hard work, leadership, and other values; and have seen many crumble into their ruin. Many have died, passing on their fate to their children, and the cycle continued, balancing between war-time and peace; and who started this cycle? Nobody knows. But the cycle turns like this:

-There is a time to live, and a time to die; There is a time to build, and a time to destroy!-

Darn, didn't notice the new challenge.

Anyways, the winner of the last one. Tough decitions. A really good entry from Allikiza. Makes me feel bad about giving the victory to someone else, but I still liked Honkyjoe's very good. If a tie is allowed, they are tied, if not Honkyjoe wins.

I hope I can use the library on my pc, not my small collection of CDs. Ok, here it goes.

It's my life

This Pain

All the things she said

I love you to death

Farewell

It's my life

A pendulous fall

Almost over now

Past the point of no return

Fly like an eagle

Across the highlands

How depressing, the best poem I can make using my songs is a suicide poem. Anyways, if you want to now where the songs are from, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 11 are from Kamelot, 1 and 6 from Bon Jovi. Number 3 is from T.a.t.u, number 8 from N.e.r.d, number 9 from the Phantom of the Operah movie and number 10 from Seal.

I wanted to be found. Life had it's choice for me. Growing up in the slums of my area as a Shy Guy, life didn't have much hope. I didn't know the origins of my birth, I entered this world so suddenly at birth, life was hard by myself, and for about 2 years I was by myself. I wanted to be found.

Then I found a group that I could relate to. They weren't a gang, nor cutthroats, nor common folks. They were other Shy Guys, wearing mask like I do. They were in the same boat as I was in as far as living went. I layed thier on the streets collasped from hunger, and they came to me, gave me the little food they had and asked me 'Want to join us?' I had been found.

We started as a group of 19 Shy Guys. I was the only one that stood out as I was the only one that ever grew taller. We all worked different jobs bringing money to the whole team, we ate, sleep, did almost everything together. As time went by our numbers doubled and we became more organized. As our numbers increased, we found an increasing need for leadership. Surprising, everone turned to me for that role, and it was then that I realized that I found something of my own.

Our members of Shy Guys tripled, and we all got together to build our own building: the Shy Guy Canard. Our numbers kept growing, and with our share of troubles and advancements, we begun to run our own chain of businesses. Our headquaters grew, and we built more buildings. 10 years passed, and we gained enough power to make our own nation. Through business, land ownership, takeovers, merging other firms, and political empowerment, we became powerful. We had so many types of Shy Guys and equipment, enough to defend our territory.

Before I knew I, I had found myself at the top of what seemed to be, an empire... I am Alphas Gai, remember it.

I wanted to be found. I wanted the companionship of people who were like me, different. I knew that I wasn't the only person in the world with a Walrus fetish; but sometimes, I felt... alone.

My days were spent alone. I would set up a crude camp on the side of the rocky Alaskan coast and watch my fantasies interact with each other. I would set up my camera equipment and snap pictures until the night fell. I gathered all my pictures into a large pile, hoping that one day, I could publish the worlds first Walrus porn magazine. I think I might call it... Tuckable Fusks, ya, that sounds good.

Though I enjoyed my Solace with these peaceful, sexy, large, floppy, sharp, whiskery creatures, I was beginning to starve. As the mating season faded away I ran out of enough puffin to feed myself. It would be a few days before the Walrus's would sink back into the azure blue sea, but I couldn't leave them. I survived by eating my own feces and sand, it hurt at first but it would hurt more to watch my life disappear without me.

All of the other Walrus's had left, except for one. He was a large male, probably the Alpha. His tusks were long: hard. I knew I shouldn't do it, but I had too. I ran headlong and fully naked towards his soft brown flesh. I jumped... It seemed I was floating for an eternity. I landed on his face and got a quick whisker stroke in before his tusks accended upward... And stabbed me in the heart.

I wanted to be foud. As much as being caught was a terrible thought, I was sick of running. Nowhere to hide, nowhere to escape. Just the same continous chase. I was tired. It had got to stop. Now was the time to finish it. I walked around the corner and they spotted me instantly.

"I see you have finally come to your senses."

I didn't answer him. Couldn't he just skip the unnecessary comments?

"I'll make this very simple for you," he said. "Put the box down and you can run off. We won't follow you. You will be free. It will be over."

I was standing there in a confused state. Unable to let go off the box but unable to continue running. I knew I had to make a decition, but it was impossible. I could not let them get the box. I would never give them the box. Unfortunatly, letting them get the box was my only option. So I could do nothing but standing there.

The man sighed and pointed his gun at me.

"It's your call. Give us the box and live, or die and we will take the box anyways."

Another choice. I was sick of these choices. But I couldn't delay the decition anymore. Then I made the toughest decition of my life. I tossed the box. It landed in front of a trailer driving in forty miles an hour. For some moments, they just starred at the box getting massage from four big wheels. Then he pointed his gun at me again.

"It doesn't matter anymore, but still..."

He pulled the trigger.

I wanted to be found, but I'd heard the horror stories of what had happened to those that were. Some had been stabbed in their heart with the tusks of the flabby creature they loved, and others had been shot dead by anonymous strangers. But I suppose I did want to be found. That was until I was. There were no tusks and there were no bullets and there definitely wasn't any Walrus porn, but there was a keen sense of disappointment. As much as I didn't want to die, not dying was quite anti-climactic. My adrenalin had been pumping and I'd been expecting my heart to stop beating after a wonderful explosion. Instead? "Found you!" Rik had cried. Now I don't want to sound like a prude, but playing Sardines with Rik on his birthday isn't exactly my idea of fun. To make matters worse, chances are that Eddie would be off drinking with his mates Hedgehog and Spudgun in the other room, and they'd have no interest at all in finding me. Rik would be snogging me for hours. Ah well, I'll just have to pretend to be a bird and hope that he has a heart attack.

I would prefer if the last sentence was supposed to be "and then there were none." Well, I'll give it a try anyway.

It began with one

One dream

One goal

Always far away

Maybe unreachable

One step forward

Three steps back

Impossible

One day it was time to give up

A dream faded

Two more took its place

It ended with two

It began with one. One walked down the road as one tends to do on one's day off. One stopped by a store to buy some ciggarettes. One lived in a bleak, drab world also known as London. One needed Two. As she smoked she continued along and saw Two in a dusty alley. Two had One tablet for One. One wanted only one, so it worked out well. Two was a bad influence. One took the one pill, and and on one's day off, One passed away.

It ended with Two.

It began with one

One brother

Who gave his soul

To save the other

And as the family mourned

For all the lives lost

The living brother warned

"Don't be quick to accost"

"Do not judge, or let emotions be tossed."

And as he embraced his only brother

A woman walked over, it was his mother

She touched his shoulder and spoke to him kindly

"If you must, give your soul for the other"

She kissed his cheek and held him tightly

Ten years later another war broke out

The two brothers left their family to fight

They ended up trapped in a small holdout

Along and freezing in the darkest of night

They kept their wits but in their hearts they did doubt

And as the enemy rushed in to end their lives

One turned to go while the other stood stout

He gave his life to his youngest brother

It was their deal

For he to save the other

And as the last brother returned home to a life he once knew

He looked at himself

"It began with one, but it ended with two"

It began with one. But even for primary school the equation was too easy. Another one was added, and answer was: it ended with two.

epilogue

Which was still too easy, and the maths teacher was immediately fired. And so was the English teacher as it was an American school.

CHALLENGE FOR THE DATE ABOVE THIS TEXT

The codename for Ubuntu has always been like this: -adjective- -animal- and both start with the same letter (for example, Feisty Fawn, Jaunty Jackalope, etc.)

Take liberties with this naming scheme (you don't need to use animals, necessarily) if you must, but make an entire alphabet out of this scheme. If you can make it flow as a piece or poem, bonus points.

EDIT: This challenege brought to you by Ubuntu 9.10's new crappy name: Karmic Koala.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Is perfectly
Suited to children's taste
Don't you see.

But not the film
No sirree
the book is the best
and is the one you should see.

See? I say
The illustrations of course!
Many editions
Are bland and corase
But do not fret
For no matter how bad
The story its self
Will always be rad!

Perhaps I am not?

This is what poor Harry thinks

So young and distraught

Though through friendship and courage

Harry prevails

With his badass spails

We share his smile

And we share his quests

But perhaps the best thing

Is hermoines developing breasts

I like to paticipate in my own challenges (though of course I can't win them), so her is my review on poem-form:

Mario kart DS is truly great

With a lot of speed

In every race

The power slides

challenge your skills

And with all the items

It's quite a thrill

I only have one negative thing to say

WHY ARE THOSE BLOODY BLUE SHELLS STILL IN

Can't you just take them away?

By the way, you can keep posting on the last challenge until sunday, when I will announce the winner. Anyways: for the new challenge.

The plot twist of Banjo-Kazooie

Just doesn't make sense

What is the reason

why does Grunty kidnap Tootie

Because of an experiment

A machine that can transfer Tootie's beauty over to Grunty

I guess most of the games I've played have had ok plot twist, since I couldn't think of any worse than this one.

I had just been reading comments on how Star Ocean 3 (one of my favourite games) had a horrible plot twist (which I didn't personally feel it was), so I was wondering what the worst plot twist is for other people.

Why, after obvious masking
And subsequent twisting and turning
Does Reith turn out to be Amila
And Calintz have to choose
Between her and Serina
Like a two-timing bastard?
If it weren't for
Her death
He would be
Quite a cheater indeed.

Oh Kojima what were you thinking

You had a great game

That ticked all the boxes

Then you did some tinkering

And took Dawkins' influence too far

And ruined the ending

It was really bizarre.

All you had to do

Was end it at the sunset

Instead you ham-fisted it

And ended it with a bum-fest.

Challenge of March 21st:

Write a poem called "I can't write poem."

By the way, helios, don't forget to decide who wins the last challenge.

I can't write poems

Because I can't rhyme

And my rhythm is just very bad

I try

It just doesn't work out

And one more problem

That I always have

The last sentence of my poem always seems to get far too long.

I can't write poems,
And I don't know why,
I've never written a proper poem before,
And I have yet to learn it.

I can't write poems,
Now I do know why,
It's not because of any linguistic incapacity,
It's because I type them.

Right, I'll post the winner tomorrow.

There was a time when
I thought it was quite easy
To just spill out words in a
Form other than prose
But then one day I realised
That it was actually rubbish that
Was dripping out of my pen
(Which, by the way, was running out of ink)
And so I came to the conclusion that
Since I had written too much and
Exhausted all my so-called ability
I would call it a day (or a lifetime)
And throw my pen in the bin
Telling myself, "I can't write poems."

Haha, thanks flash!

Winner of the challenge for the 14th of March...

...is Foolz3h!

A round of applause for his great complaint about the Metal Gear Solid series!
