1) better combat system. Not just swinging your sword around. counter attacks and ability to dodge attacks
2) build a party to help you with your quests and just to accompany you.
3) more races
4) being able to escape from guards, lose them in buildings, crowds, etc.
5)More populated towns, like assassins creed
you understand that they do have a limited amount of space on the game? i mean if they put all the provinces on the game, along with more weapons, spells, ingrediants, items blood and people, it would come out in 2015 and have each city about as big as a house and each province as big as city isleMore people in cities, towns, and the overall provinces.
Bigger map to explore(ability to explore all provinces)
More realistic combat system(dismemberments, more blood, maybe a bleed-out system that you lose health depending on how severe your/NPC/creature's wounds are, reaction to where and how someone is hit)
More weapons, spells, ingredients, items, etc.

the only thing that really pissed me off about oblivion was the character movement animation while in third person, looks really retardedkingtahktahkhuk
yep.
i doubt thier is any confirmation but ya they are probably making es5I love this thread man! but seriously: i am a huge fan of oblivion and i thought it was a near-perfect game far ahead of its time... that's why i cant wait for another oblivion.
My question was: is there any information regarding a possible elder scrolls 5? because i haven't heard of it... and regarding the list of improvements, i think they should make the game even more lengthier because in a world like oblivion you can't get lost in long enough ;)

[QUOTE="Trickshot771"]lol usually a 2 year wait on elder scrolls game, that means 2009.Larger variety of weapons, improved hit detection...uh..more skills.
We probably won't get to play it until 2010 or later, though.
eterpay
also since the beggining of the game they have had set skills and classes. changing that may not bring happy fans.
Don't be dumb. You think they can work on Fallout 3 AND elder scrolls 5 at the same time? You'll be the only one expecting it to come out next year.
How about a 3rd person reticle so I can shoot bows and spells accurately? Without having to kneel.
I would also like for gauntlets to have damage added to melee combat. ie:for h2h
I'd also like to be able to hit someone with a staff.
Different mount types.
Non-fugly npcs.
I want throwing weapons back and maybe a crossbow.
Get rid of fast travel.
Get rid of scaling enemies.
More user friendly UI
Better voice acting
Get rid of the gaurds ability to see a crime from a mile away... through walls.
PS- Better level design. Tamriel was great but every oblivion gate was almost exactly the same. It got old quick.
brianpoetzel
all good, especially the get rid of the guards seeing your crimes from a mile away and through walls.
but I loved fast travel. especially for those times I didn't feel like taking crap from bandits and monsters and everything in between. so like, all the time basically.
dont get rid of fast travel
they have 1 and 2, no comments on 3, i dunno about 4, i mean you an just become invisable or get on a horse.1) better combat system. Not just swinging your sword around. counter attacks and ability to dodge attacks

5. the reason that they have depopulated towns is that each person has its own schedule. maybe more people but no where near assassins creed. which was to easy to fight. you can beat basicly everyone you want with the nooby counter

How is counter attacking in Assassin's Creed a "nooby" thing? Do you consider mashing the X button over and over to require more skill than counter attacking?

i hated how you could beat everyone, made the game boring. i dont want to assasinate someone then kill every other gaurd in town then hide.@Eterpry
1) I could generally care less about classes. I love melee and hated magic so as long as they have a basic melee class I'll be a happy customer. I loved my melee Hybrid sneaky/powerhouse of doom character in Oblivion. I was able to go from heavy armor assault type to a light armored sneaky night crawler, silently assassinating my targets.
2) very unimportant
3) to improve on this Idea: I hated the fact that everything grew according to your level. I wish everything were a set level and if you ventured out too far you would face superior ledendary monsters that could kill you in 1 hit if you werent prepared enough.
@Ganon
From the looks of your ideas it appears as if you didnt play this game at all.
1) I thought the combat system was fairly decent. It wasnt a poor system. if anything the inventory system needed much improvement. Same with Dark Messiahs inventory system.
2) The world was large. What were you expecting? An entire planet to roam? That would take days if not weeks to get around.
3)There was plenty of variety in the towns. The nordic towns (mountainous) were always covered in snow/fog where as the towns in the south had very nice weather with tons of visibility. there were even towns that looked damp like a rain forest. I forgot the names of these towns as I havent played this game in almost a year.
4) There was days, months and years to go by. You really didnt play this game at all. Seasons is just ridiculous. I rather the town and land scape variety as stated in #3.
5) You definitly have a few screws loose. This would definitly ruin the game as that system ruined MGS3:SE. I, along with many many MANY others hated that stupid healing system. It also became rather nonexistent as you became use to the patterns in the game. The point of MGS is to sneak around and not get caught in damaging gunfights. Therefore making that healing system fairly useless.
6) Im not even going to comment on the absurdity here.
Why take portions of other games and put it in Elder scrolls? That would just kill the game and ruin what it was about.
More NPC's i think my street has more people than the Imperial CityLief_EricsonOMG I know, I was playing it yesterday and i was walking trough the imperial city and it really does lack NPC's theres like 4 people walking around! And yes a cape would be uber bad ass! I'd wear a cape in Halo3 lol capes are the best.
They should carbon copy the fighting system in Condemned 2.
Maleku
I'm not sure about all that violence, but having to actually think about how you fight instead of swinging your sword around like a crazy person would be nice. And it would be cool if there was more variety in the way NPCs move and attack.
I think the world should be larger but with no ****ing stupid travelling missions and pretty much no travelling. You go to one area and stay there and do missions in that specific area and just have to travel a short distance to reach a quest in that area. This would allow them to get rid of the fast-travel systems entirely and it would make the experience so much more immersive.
The town in the area you're questing becomes your home for a while and you can become friends with people, anyone, you can visit their homes for biscuits and tea (or whatever) and they might ask you for favors with the simple reward of their friendship. And you can ask them for favors in return. And not just silly rewards like discounts, but gifts. If you befriend a gladiator you can ask him to accompany you on a quest and if you befriend a merchant he might give you a precious item or repair your armour for free all the time.
The last thing I think they can realistically add to this game would be more animations and more interaction with your environment. They could add a Climbing skill and you could climb anything, cliffs, houses and... well that's all you can climb I guess. It could work like it does in Assassin's Creed, that's a beautiful system. Except in first person.
Oh, one other thing. Realistic fights, so you don't hit someone with your sword and they just flinch a little but it's about getting successful blows and piercing their defense and their armour. The same would apply to you, instead of Health you'd have to defend against blows with your shield and/or weapon and if you're stabbed in the stomach you're severely injured, if you're hit in the leg you have trouble walking etc. But maybe that would be too hard to successfully integrate.

I beat the game and I was honestly dissapointed about the enemies and the aquatic life in the game. Besides the few slaughter fishes in the water I was really hoping for more monsterous creatures living in the deep waters and more gigantic land monsters. Instead there is just one slaughter fish in the entire lake and a few rocks in the bottom.
For gigantic monsters I want dragons, sea serpent, some strange sea creature, gaint grypones, giant spiders, I don't know! What ever fantasy creature they can come up with I want them to put it in the game. And for the enemy incounter(depending on the type of enemies) I want them to be natural. By that I mean for them to be minding their own business like eating pieces of grass or sleeping instead of them charging straight at you the moment you get a medium distance from them.
Last thing I would want is there to be more non hostile wild life. Besides seeing deers all the time I would want to see maybe birds, fishes, rabbits, some sort of grazing animals, and just creatures to make the world seem more alive. I would love to see for example a huge herd of grazing mythical creatures in the distance or a dragon flying high in the skies on top of the moutains.
Aside from those I think the game is just perfect.
seasons (summer winter ...)
a story line ya oblivion had story line but you could go do 20 side quest and do one mine quest when the the world getinm destoryed by gates and that so ya
Well, I like how they do it with providences because they are just huge remakes of each providence from the first game, so I like it that way. And as for you ideas, I like them, but the only thing is, I don't think there will be an elder scrolls 5, I think it will be The elder scrolls Online, no way they would make a # 5 and an online one, and I don't think they would make it online and call it 5 still, unless its kinda like guild wars where you see people in towns and you have to party up to go out of the cities together.ok so please tell me what you think would be better in the elderscrolls 5.
please criteque other ideas as well. i have listed a few ideas and bad ideas bellow
1.a wider difference between the classes, races and birthsigns
2.teh ability to attack from a horse, although you would do less damage from the horse and u can get knocked off.
3.more legendary monsters, ex: dragons
4.all the provinces instead odf just one(this would never work as that would require each city to be 7 times smaller, distance from towns 7 times smaller and everything else 7 times smaller.)
5. more idea for this game

Ermmm... Jobs, like mundane, everyday jobs, self evolving characters, i.e fights, large scale battles, arguments and proper fighting between NPC's, also, more NPC's, the Cities did feel a bit dead, customizable weapons, or even being able to design your own armour, weapons, items, houses you can design+build, an online multi-server MMO kind of world, more provinces and a more densely populated map and better combat interface/experience with combos/counterattacks, not like a hack 'n' slash but just to make it more interesting.
