Should 14 year olds be on Xbox Live? (VOTE)

Depends hows mature the young kid is.

People tell me I sound like im 25, But I tell them I just turned 15 and they can't believe it.

I'm 14, and I think that it shouldn't be based on age, it should be based on behavior. Generally, if I'm on LIVE, I shut the **** up and let my gun speak for itself (I don't play racing games, so it's just my gun), I don't need to trashtalk. I will talk if I want to speak to a teammate and try to coordinate with him. What I hate is when people my age act like douchebags and start singing or doing other idiotic **** that's aside the game just to piss people off. On the other hand, kicking somebody instantly based on age is a pretty **** move.pyrobrand

I don't think it really matters as long as you are 13+ and are not annoying. Every once and a while i run into a 10 year old on gears-they usually scream, swear and ask stupidquestions like "Can you here me?" Kids like that shouldn't play.Nills

Here's why this topic is wrong...

Not all 14 year olds are immature just like not all the people in their 20s are mature. You can't simply say, "Let's just kick off every 14 year old gamer on Xbox Live because they can potentially be annoying." That's like saying, let's go bomb Iraq because every Muslim is a terrorist. It's wrong, it's unjust, it's immoral, it's unnecessary. Would I prefer playing with an older gamer? Yes. Does it really matter that much though? No, not really.

I think that children shouldn't be on games that are rated 16 or 18+...
There should be some way to check the age of users, and block their profile from playing games until they are of the correct age.

You my friend have a very stereotypical view of 14 year olds or 12 year olds (The topic and poll confused me) The amount of abnoxious early teens are easily equalled out by the amount of overly agressive adults. I believe everyone should be allowed to play XBL, no one has the right to tell them they're not just because they don't like them. I meet about 10 - 20 annoying people everytime I play XBL but I just get on with it.

Oh and btw probably the largest majority of 360 games sales come from12 - 16year olds
