Should 14 year olds be on Xbox Live? (VOTE)

yES, Because one time i was playing gears of war and there was someone talking about raping people and sucking their (well you know what), and i found out that the person was 40 years old. I mean any age can have idiots, i have seen idiots that are like 22 and when you say something they say shut the F up. I have to say that i have a friend who is 13 and he is cool for most of the game and he has a mature attitude, im 15 and i see people on XBOX LIVE that say the N word and they are clearly not black. I think that 14 yr olds are not the concerns for XBOX LIVE, racists are.

Alot of people on xbox live say some stereotypic stuff. I was talking to a teammate of mines on gears of war and he asked me of my race. I told him that i was asian and he said sucks for you having to deal with a .5 inch u know what There are people on XBOX LIVE that are adults but clearly act like childs. LUCKILY WE HAVE THE MUTE BUTTON:D

First off, I'm 15 and I haven't had a "squeaky" voice since I was 12. Second of all, I think it's retarded to say that ALL 14 year olds shouldn't be allowed on Xbox Live because they have a squeaky voice. That's just like saying anyone above 40 shouldn't be allowed on Xbox Live cause they're all just looking to rape a bunch of boys.

And lastly, you really think Microsoft is gonna "ban" 14 year olds because of their voice? No way. And even if they did, they'd still find ways on Live. Just like I've found ways to buy Gears of War, and Crackdown. 

If they have sqeeky voices and scream for no reason and stuff, then I hate them. If they play the game, help out there teammates..etc then i'd play with them.

But serioussly, People get anoyed with kids sometimes because they have squeaky high pitched voices, screeam, sing, and have conversations with other people in their room without muting the headset (that's the worst). I'm actually starting to like the way you have to press the Dpad to talk in Halo 3. But I've played with lots of young people that were perfectly good players and the only way I knew they were young is cause they mentioned it. If someone can controll themselves and is fun to play with then who cares who they are. I think what people get upset and frustrated with is when people are just plain anoying.

I refuse to take any poll seriously that has

1. LOL in the title

2. changes the age from 14 in the title to 12 in the poll

3. changes the issue from 14 year olds on XBL, to 12 year olds on XBL, then you seemed to make the topic into "kids shouldn't play mature games," well you're right, but that isn't the poll or the topic.

I'm 14 and if you read some of these post it's funny that I'm being called the immature one. I know a lot of immature 14 year olds, and a lot of mature 14 year olds. I also know a lot of mature adults, and immature adults. I play Gears of War online and my parents let me get it because they believe I'm MATURE enough. You all seem to not realise the point of game ratings is to inform parents of the content so they can make informed decisions on whether or not to allow their children to play. I get straight A's in school, I don't mouth off or talk back, and I stay out of trouble (most of the time). My parents thought of all this and said "hey, my son is mature enough for this game." Parents that blame childrens behavior on videogames are bad parents, while I see why it's wrong for a 10 year old to play Gears of War it still isn't the game companys fault little Jimmy decided go punch his teacher in the nuts after playing Halo, it's the parents fault for not teaching him right from wrong. If you have a problem with a kids voice or something, mute them. If you have a problem with kids on XBL, petition Microsoft. If you have a problem with kids playing mature games, get in touch with Jack Tompson. Choose one of the following or stop your b*tching

I'm 15, I'm not those kind of people. When I play a game of gears of war, I'm usually pretty quiet, and, not only that, but my voice is actually pretty low-pitched. I do also hate the little kids with the high-pitched voices that play though. What annoys me even more though are the 20 year olds which act like they are the $@it saying "**gga" after every 3 words they say and cussing people out after losing. They are even worst then the 12 year olds because they still haven't matured, even at 20!

If they would stay off of Gears of War, Halo 2, Madden '07, and FNR3 I wouldn't care.But some of them act mature, too bad 95% of them are jerks.

A lot of the time, the first taste of freedom a 10/14 year old might encounter is on x-box live. The power seems to go right to their heads. What I have found that works is to give them a compliment followed right up with something like. "Hay, you're a good player but you have got to try to watch you attitude. I wouldn't mind you on my friends list if you had a better time and made the game fun". Now I know it sounds silly but 9 out of 10 times it works like a dream. You will hear an "I'm sorry", followed by a friends request. Now you may not want them on your friends list but you might be amazed at the amount of knowledge a 12 year old has on any given video game. Also, I would like to point out that on x-box the problem as I see it, is with 18-25 year olds. Way to many power drinkers and people who didn't get enough attention from their parents. Maybe 12 year olds are getting a bad rap! What do you think?  

I don't mind what age people play on xbox live. What does annoy me is when kids just don't know when to stop talking. I think we've all heard the usuall; "OMFG YOU NOOB", "HACKER", "YOU SUCK", "YOUR MOM......O!", that just makes me want to kill them.....but other than that I don't mind at all.shadow8787

While any one any age can be an A-hole children are the worst. there are a few exceptions but not many. I have given up on any ranked matches or matches with random peopel due to the fact that all of a sudden 10-14 year old kids get on and start trying to be all hip-hop, or neo-nazi...or they start singing or something stupid like that.

It just ruins the game. Especially when you are owning them and then they start to whine and piss and moan..teh cheap...teh dont play fare...teh chaisaw teh pwnage...WTF? If you cant be respectful and act your age get the hell off LIVE. I will say that I have had really good experinces with most people my own age 25-30 and very few bad, 90% of the bad has been because of children...honestly they should make it so you cant have a LIVE account unless your 18, and parents who allow 10 and 12 year olds to play Gears or Saints Row or anything LIVE based, should be imprisoned.
