Should 14 year olds be on Xbox Live? (VOTE)

Well I am fourteen, and I am going to be turning 15 in August. I dont have a squeeky voice, some guy on live thought I was 18. I am not annoying like the little 10 year olds who constantly say "can you hear me?" I am not annoying, so dont hate on all the "little kids" though I wouldnt even call me that. I am mature, believe me, if you dont send me a friend request and lets game.

I dont support 12 yr olds even though im 13 because they are annoying and just cant shut up. Some start singging, others talk nonsense and they all sound the same with their nerdy and squeeky voices. Thank god my head set doesnt work.gustavog117

There seems to be a misunderstanding about kids playing M rated games. You don't have to be 17+ to play M rated games, you just have to be 17+ to buy them. It's just like smoking. There is no law (in the US at least) that says a 14 year old can't smoke, but it IS illegal to sell kids under 18 cigs.

And this is a fact. I knew kids (when i lived on a military base) who got caught by MPs for smoking, but couldn't do anything about it. All they could do is return them to their parents.

I agree. I can just imagine this guy on Live as one of these horrid foul-mouthed Jack-asses that slag people off and try to act big because there's no consequences for their actions. 

honestly the age doesnt really matter, just really depends on if you're mature enough to play the game. It IS annoying though listening to little kids trying to act like big shots when they should be suckin on their momma's n*pples.gokuofheaven

Its a hard question. Because not every 12/under 16 year old is annoying and it would be bad to have LIVE taken away from them because of the bratish ones. But the bratish ones annoy me so much, submiting a bad review on me because I beat them or yelling at me to kill myself because they died and can't be bothered to wait for the round to end.Platearmor_6

Maybe they need to sing some classics like "Take it Easy" by the Eagles, or "Jukebox Hero" by foreigner, or OH OH "Open Arms" by Journey (love singing that one).  And why not throw in some "Carry on my Wayward Son" by Kansas....i carry on that wayward son whenever i sing it

im 15 and i dont play on live that much but i just get really annoyed when someone bad mouths me off for saying f*** when almost all the other older guys are saying it all the timepetrolhead

I'm 14, and I only use my mic in games that usually require them(R6:V, ect).

Other than that, I keep my trap shut.And if said mates make fun of me for my somewhat squeaky voice, well, you'd get the idea. 

It sounds cruel to bash kids who want to play on XBox Live but the fact of the matter is that they are not even old enough to buy Mature rated games, which make up the bulk of online games they pervade, and if they had decent parents, they would not be playing them at all. I may sound judgemental, but honestly. tell your damn parents what "Parental controls" are and how to use them. So we will no longer have to tolerate your unacceptable vocabulary, shrill voices and offensive nature.

I may be venting but my point still stands, if you cannot buy it without an ID, you should not be able to play it. The fact that your parents buy you these games completely voids the efforts of the ESRB, making the whole system pointless and games could not get as far as they have without it.

If you can't play an online game without a kid eventaully calling you a racial slur or spewing obscene language anymore than I think it goes without saying that things need to change.

 This shouldn't be against all kids, because I know some 14-15 years old are actually really mature. It's the one that are below 13 and screams that pisses me off.

Anyways, Im 14 and I know people dont care about having me on XBOX live because I dont have a squeeky voice like them other little kids.

I dont mind as long as they don't sing, rap, whine, try to talk smake or make stupid noises that they think is funny.

I'm also going to have to add that 12 -year olds from Britain are way easier to stomach over Live than an American ones. Might be the accent. Nothing is more awsome than hearing a little brit kid cuss sombody out over the mic:lol:. Yes I am American- early 30's

Quite true. Theres just more imature under 16s than there are over 16. Because there exactly that, not matured, they have an excuse. And thats why I get annoyed when I hear grown men acting like 5 year olds and complaining because there mums telling them to go to work, because they haven't got an excuse to be imature anymore.

Doesn't matter in a racing game etc. but when you're playing M rated games- Gears etc. it should be an escape from the high-pitched annoying kids.
