I'm looking for a good RPG for the 360. It can be a JRPG or the stuff like Oblivion (which I did play and liked a lot). I haven't played a JRPG in a while, so traditional stuff like Blue Dragon (if it's good at all) would be cool too.Petshopboy
Lost Odyssey and Mass Effect are the best available imo

I'd say Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata are the two best JRPGs on the 360 right now. Infinite Undiscovery and Tales of Vesperia are two upcoming 360 JRPG titles you might want to look into.
Mass Effect's the only other good RPG on the 360 I can think of, though i haven't actually played it yet.
Got a pretty tough predicament (for me, anyway). I'm in need of a new 360 game, don't know whether to get Fifa 08 or GTA IV. If I get Fifa 08 it will be now and for cheaper than what GTA is. GTA is also not coming out for another 4 weeks. I'm a mad soccer fan but also an oldschool GTA fan, I'm also pretty low on money at the moment so whichever game I pick the other game may have to wait a month or two before I purchase it. Any suggestions?Hitchy9
I'm personally not a fan of sports and I haven't played a GTA game, but I'd still go with GTA4. sounds like a much better game.

well then you should ask yourself which game do you think you will be playing longer. i'd go with GTA4 mostly because im not much of a sports fan.
hey i need help. should i buy rainbow six vegas 2 or buy another guitar controller for rock band. i would be getting a guitar hero one and i think they cost aboot 70 bucks, but i dont even know if they sell them standalone. i need a new one since i really dislike the rock band one, and the strum bar is a bit wonky and squeakes really loud. well typing this ive decided to buy the controller, so i have 2 questions...
1.) will the gh3 wireless controller work on rock band and
2.) do they sell the gh3 wireless controllers standalone yet?
thanks soooo much :)sly_fiz
I know you can get them standalone. If not, you could probably track down one on eBay. I'm pretty sure Guitar Hero guitars work with Rock Band, but I'm not entirely sure. Y'know, because Rock Band hasn't been released here yet. At all. And still hasn't got a release date. Not that I'm bitter.
[QUOTE="kamikaze-jk"]lost odyssey, ace combat 6, battlestations midway, or bully which one?sly_fiz

No arguments here either.buying a elete console, one extra controler and one game on sunday, halo 3, GeOW or burnout paradice?darkspineslayer
I'd go with Halo 3 personally because the online is really addicting, but GoW has some awesome online too. If you liked Halo 2 or the original, get Halo 3. If you like something sorta like SOCOM, though not quite as slow, with 3rd person, more methodical action, get GoW.
I came upon some awesome deals, really really cheap used games. I've already bought PGR 4, Forza 2, WWE 2007, and Bully. There are a few other games I'm interested in, however even though the games are cheap, I don't have a ton of money. The 4 games I've already purchased cost me $55 so I can only spend maybe $40 more without putting me in a bind. I hoping to come out with 2 more games, so here is what I have to choose from, please help I can't make my mind up. I can get the following for $30: Dark Sector, Viking, Lost Odyssey, Universe At War, Dynasty Warriors 6, Condemned 2, Devil May Cry 4, or Overlord. For $10 I can pick from: Full Auto, Timeshift, Viva Pinata, Turning Point, COD 3, Jumper, and NFL Tour. I've narrowed it down a little I think first pick of either Dark Sector, Viking, Overlord, or Condemned 2. And second pick of either Full Auto or Timeshift. Which do you all think I should go with???

If you're a wrestling Fan, be sure to check out TNA Impact released on June 2nd 2008.

If it were me I'd be going for Viva Pinata and Lost Odyssey. Most of the other games listed are less than prime examples of their genre.
ok so i love RPG's and i cant decide whether to get mass effect or lost odyssey. they both look amazing and mass effect got a higher score but i really like the old turn based style of lost odyssey. so if anybody has played both which was more fun and which lasted longer? Thanksliqu1d_couRAGE
Mass Effect i enjoyed more because of the exploration and the story and how it develops. LO is still very good but ME I enjoyed more
In my honest opinion, the cream of the crop...
Essential, Great, Maybe
Single Player: Oblivion, Bioshock, Assasin's Creed
Multiplayer: Gears of War, Rock Band, Scene It
RPG: Mass Effect, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey
FPS: Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3
Racing: Burnout Paradise, Project Gotham 4, Forza 2
Family: Viva Pinata, Kameo, Lego Star Wars
Arcade: Puzzle Quest, UNO, Cloning Clyde
Other: Dead Rising, Rockstar Table Tennis, Ace Combat 6, Virtua Fighter 5, Beautiful Katamari, Command & Conquer 3
And Upcoming: GTA 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2
Is Army of Two worth a buy? I have a friend to play with online, he is telling me to buy the game but I have been reluctant although I am interested, I am afraid its like every other shooter and will not hold interest for very long. I love shooters by the way, last shooters played have been Call of Duty 4 and Orange Box...
Thanks!
rent it and beat it with him. in about 8 hours you will be done. multiplayer sucks. Is Army of Two worth a buy? "doesn't haven't to be"...? Eh?
Anyway. Some good non-shooter games are : Guitar Hero, PGR4, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey and Burnout Paradise. If by "dosent havent to be a must have amazing game" you meant "doesn't have to be..." then you could also go for some of the less lauded (but still quite fun) games like Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Bladestorm, Dynasty Warriors 6(?) or Overlord.

Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (XBLA), Forza Motorsport 2, Burnout Paradise, and Oblivion.

i'll admit that it doesn't look that great and it attempts to use a strong focus on co-op as its big selling point, but it still doesn't look all that groundbreaking. you might be better off renting it.
would i like orange box if i liked cod4abdullah1154
depends. Orange Box is mainly single player material. TF2's not that great of a multiplayer game, but if you like single player shooters (and of course, puzzle games) then you'll have a blast. very different from COD4, but if you like shooters at all you'll love it.
hey guys i was thinkin of gettin shadow run. my friend has it and i like it. but do alot of people still play it online?pygmahia5
from what i've heard, the community's still good enough to find a group of people just about any time
does anyone know a good RPG-ish game that has depth and replay value? (Finished Oblivion, Saints Row, Dead Rising and Mass Effect.)

Lost Odyssey is a good RPG although I wouldn't say there's much replay value..
What do you guys think of Frontlines: Fuel Of War?Danoz304
Its ok but only get cheaper than normal price, eg second hand
Would I like Lost Oddyssey?
I have never played a turn based RPG my whole life and have no experience with an RPG. I didn't like Oblivion too much due to shallow and clunky combat and stupid quests and a hard level up system. The only RPG I've had fun with are Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, and that's about it. Is Lost Oddyssey a game I can get joy from or should I skip it.

If you've never played a JRPG before, you may as well get Lost Odyssey to see if you like them. It's vastly different from the games you listed there, both in terms of execution and gameplay, so I really can't say whether you'll like it.
