The only game Im recommending to ppl at the moment is Bad Company ...
online play is off the hook.

Well my mom randomly went to Gamestop, called me if i wanted a 360 game, but i hesitated and couldnt choose. Since i couldnt make her angry by waiting for a response, i chose Assassins Creed...since the game is used, if i dont like it, i can return it within 7 days....The thing is, Assassins Creed is fun and all, but will it last me long? I also wanted Elder Scrolls Oblivion...And i hear that game provides a LOT to get into with plenty of quests...and i love RPGs....Once again, Assasins Creed is fun, but its repetition is starting to show to me...All ive been doing is saving civilians, looking out on those viewpoints, and assasinations...Though all this IS addicting, is that all what AC has to offer? So what do you think? Should i keep Assasins Creed as a keeper for my 360 game collection, or should i return it, and get Elder Scrolls Oblivion? S0mEGuY12
Assassin's Creed has some pretty bad replay value and it's really repetitive like you said. If you're not even halfway through the game, you'll still pretty much know what you'll have to be doing the rest of the game. The only replay value you're going to get out of AC would be doing achievements by going back to collect hundreds of flags around the world, but chances are that you wouldn't want to do that.
Oblivion is a better choice. I can't say that it's the best choice, but between AC and Oblivion, there's a clear choice.
I'm looking to buy a couple new XBLA games. Anyrecommendations?Snowboarder99
There's Puzzle Quest, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Soul Calibur, Ikaruga (really HARD), and Geometry Wars
me and my buddy might rent a game tonight. is mass effect a fun game to rent for a couple days. like is it easy to get into and is fun for hours?Legend_O_Dragon
I haven't played Mass Effect, but if I've heard right, the game is fun and has a ton of hours worth of play. A rental might not be enough. At least, if you like it. It's single player only, though.
im using gamefly for about a month before I go back to school and i'm looking for some good singleplayer games (old or new) kinda like assassin's creed, that doesn't have much replay value. Preferrably I don't want a game with brutal difficulty cuz im not a hardcore gamer. SteezySnowman
Bioshock is a decent choice. It's good, but still kind of overrated which makes it better for a rental. You can blast through it in 10-15 hours and I can't say that there's much to go back for unless you're an achievement junkie. It's pretty easy since dying doesn't penalize you much.
I'm getting around $160 and i wanna buy a lot of older great games.
I was thinking about Dead rising i plyed the demo and it was really fun. My only worry though is timed missions which i don't like. Can i just play the game and mess around then go and do missions or is it always timed?
What are the best older games that i currently don't own?

Yeah thanks. I already have Halo 3, CoD4, and a few other of the popular 360 games, so im pretty sure for now Oblivion is the best choice. Thanks again. You were prolly thinking that, i didnt have those games (i think) But i guess it doesent matter.Anything else you can recommend tho?Besides GoW, and bioshock. Because after hearing you say "Its not the best choice" im starting to hesitate again :P Something around 30 bucks like AC and Oblivion themselves..I'm getting around $160 and i wanna buy a lot of older great games.

I have COD2 is COD3 worth a buy? I don't really like sports games or racing unless it's somewhat arcadish. I have The Darkness and Bioshock but i'll be getting Guitar hero 3. Does GRAW2 still have an active online?
Hey guys, I need a new game to keep me busy until Oct. for Fallout 3.
I don't want to get into any extremely long RPGs (in case of not finishing by Fallout 3)so I wouldn't care if it were a shooter or an Action/Adventure.
I've narrowed it down to:
-Unreal Tournament 3
-The Orange Box
-Battlefield: Bad Company
-Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Which one of these 4 games is most recommended guys?
r1m1k1
Well I have UT3 and I can say its not worth $60. The community is far too small. BFBC seems like a pretty fun game and the Orange Box has plenty to do.
I haven't played Mass Effect, but if I've heard right, the game is fun and has a ton of hours worth of play. A rental might not be enough. At least, if you like it. It's single player only, though.

I was able to play through once on a rental (5 days-ish), but after I finished I found myself blown away, and hurrying to try out a couple of other classes before I returned it. Now that I finally have some money I'm definitely going to go ahead and pick up a copy.
I have heard mixed reviews from others though, so it might be smart to rent it and test it our first

if forgot to mention that the games that I own are pgr3, pd zero, halo, gears, thp8, and gh2 and 3, saints row,
I've already rented marvel ult., bioshock, assasins creed, prey, and crackdown, amped
i'm thinking about bully possibly but are there any other suggestions
the game you should get and im not joking one bit is rainbow six vegas 2 its got a gamespot rating of 9.5 but i think its a 10 the singe player is great and so fun but the online is even better so many people play so many types of guuns to unlock also there a new update for it you can get ranks and when you get to the elite rank which is the highest it doesnt stop there you can get to elite 1 and it goes up to elite 100 to help you get there you have a.c.e.s which give you loads of exp. but i can't get of it so i would get that game if i was you!!!!!!crispychease
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 actually got an 8.5.

No COD3 is definately not a worthy buy, I would go for Gears of War instead.
Okay so I want to get either Street Fighter II, Soul Calibur, or Mortal Kombat for the xbla. I've never really played a traditional fighter before so which one do you think is the easiest to get into?Snowboarder99
I found Soul Caliber easiest to get into, because it doesn't destroy you for button-mashing, but that's just me. All three of them have trial versions, so you should try them out!
Is Civilizatio: Revolution any good?d4rk0ne
Yeah it's great. I would get it. Try the demo if you're not sure

lol thanks, I got it yesterday and I love it. I have another question, is that Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix game also coming out on the XBLA? On Gamespot there is no page for it but on gametrailers it says it's for the 360 too so I'm not sure
[QUOTE="r1m1k1"]The orange box i would recomend. has a bit of everything for everyone... although if possible get it for the pc because its cheaper and has better updates for TF2Hey guys, I need a new game to keep me busy until Oct. for Fallout 3.

It is, but I'm not sure when. You could get a beta version of it if you bought Wolf of the Battlefield, although I'm not sure if that's still being offered.
Bioshock
or
Mass Effect
or
Gears of War
or
Dead Rising
or
Perfect Dark Zero
or
Call of Duty 3
Now, I do not enjoy hard games. So if the game is considered quite a difficult one, don't recommend it as I even hate Resident Evil 4 just because I can never get the hang of it and find it way, way, WAY too hard. I want a game that will last me a long time, doesn't have to be Mass Effect because it's an RPG, maybe it can be Gears of War because of online, or Dead Rising for replayability.
You can suggest more than one game as I have at least $90 so if you suggest COD 3 which is kinda cheap today, you can suggest another cheap one as well.

I can say that you should NOT choose Bioshock. Single player FPS games tend to not have much replay value, and the game is no exception.
Gears of War is probably the most active multiplayer game between Gears, PDZ, and COD3. I think Gears is a bit overpriced today, though. It's 2 years old, but costs $40 when you'd expect a price tag of maybe $20-$30 by now. It's probably the best choice if you want to play lots of multiplayer, and if you have any friends that want to play, there's co-op.
Mass Effect sounds like a pretty lengthy game with a lot of replay value due to the amount of quests and customization options.
I'd say between your choices, take Gears or Mass Effect. I don't know what Mass Effect is priced at, but if you get Gears it will leave you with about $50 leftover if you have $90, so you can get Dead Rising for $30 and COD3 for $30. It might be going over a little, but if you have a little more than $90, you can get 3 good games for about $100
Hey guys, I'm getting a 360 soon but I'm not sure what I should get. I'm not into FPS on consoles and have CoD4 and BioShock on PC. I'm getting GTA and Burnout Paradise and I like "Nintendo-like" games like action adventures, platforming, etc. Not really into RPGs (except Oblivion looks kinda cool I guess cuase it's really a WRPG).
Thanks.

Okay so I have a question. Should I get Alone in the Dark? I mean, I can deal with the whole bad-driving mechanics thing, and I really like survival horror games, so is Alone in the Dark a decent purchase if I can find it used or half-off or something? Also, should is the camera in NG2 really that bad? Are the enemies are cheap as people say, with unblockable moves and grapples?Essian
well i'm not to sure about AITD but if you do't already have it i can HIGHLY recomend bioshock! great FPS that'll make you afraid of little girls and scuba divers :|
Ok, I'm going to buy a 360. I'll sure have Lost Odyssey. Could someone make me a list of the very best fighting game, racing game and "Other Shooters Game". I don't know if mine is good, but there's my list: Dead or Alive 4, Need for Speed Carbon and Army of two. Could someone agree with it or correct it so i can get fixed? Thanks, and this is a very useful topic:)!!
[QUOTE="scarymovie5"]I'm about to get live what games would you recomend other than Halo 3?Sharvie
Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Gears of War are all pretty good.
Thank you.

Instead of...
DoA4- Soul Calibur 4
Stay with Need for speed and...
Army of Two- Gears of War if you're looking for third person or if just a shooter stick with GOW or COD4
Thanks for the list, I'll change army of two for gears of war and stay with NFS but for Soulcalibur, I think I'd prefer bare hands fighting. But I'll read Soulcalibur 4's gamespace and then make my choice. Cause I really loved DOA4 when I tried it!ti-pat27
Ok really it comes down to what you want. You might also look into Street Fighter 4 for bare hand fighting. DoA4 is decent so it won't be a bad purchase.
